The silly ass argument that NFL players aren’t as tough because they wear pads is just stupid. An NFL game would last exactly ONE play without pads. The size and speed of the players is far above ANY other collision sport. No fckng way are the rugby impact comparable.
Don’t misunderstand - rugby is VIOLENT as hell and those dudes are tough as shit. I am sure there are rugby players that could play NFL - but they couldn’t do it without pads.

nfl and rugby are different sports. nfl players would find it hard to make it to the top levels of rugby, and vice versa. Only difference is NFL is much more financially lucrative as it is run better.

no skill , just have to be big and heavy , often fat too . in comparison a sport like soccer actually needs skill
