Pretty remarkable change for a guy near 50. I had him 3rd this year. Thought he clearly beat Bonac.

Why do bbers care so much what people think? He’s obviously triggered by a lot of comments for him to defend himself ::)
Him and chris Cormier both insecure on social media arguing with “fans” schmoes

I agree with this cat . . . I think ( but no one has commented - Youtube ) his condition in Florida would have won teh Olympia this year.

Their entire world revolves around what other people think. So much that their jobs depend on it. It’s such a sad reality.
People even in their 50’s on here train for a look to gain validation from others. That’s what bodybuilding is.

I see what you did there
But if someone competes of course they’re going to look for some validation

I speak truth. Anyone who takes steroids isn’t doing it for themselves. I’m speaking from experience man. Lol

I disagree. I took them and currently do trt for myself. Sure, it's nice to get noticed and receive a compliment here and there but training and even trt/cycling has always been to make me feel better about me. Started off in 10th grade super scrawny and very weak.

Sadly, you are correct

Your first point was to talk about liking the compliments you also talk about being “scrawny”. These are all related to other people’s perception of you. People take steroids for other people’s validation. Like I said I speak from experience.

What I’m about to say is nothing new...
People in bodybuilding circles often have very fragile egos.
When a fragile person’s happiness depends on the thoughts, feelings, and perceptions of other people... that person will end up in a mental crisis sooner or later.

He makes his living off his image. I understand why he wants to defend those that say his legs are declining.

Anyone else think that Dexter’s pecs look smaller in the picture on the right?

No, in 10th grade I was very skinny and physically weak. I did not like my appearance and wanted to be stronger for the sports I played. It was for me. The added bonus of people noticing and occasionally commenting/complimenting was a cherry on the sundae. Your experience is not mine. Thank you.

He doesn’t need to address anything, just go out there and compete and let your physique do the talking
By him addressing this and acknowledging the “haters” and even making a vid of it, obviously it got to him
Like I said they all have fragile egos

I'm glad a 50 year old man is winning fights on twitter and using poor grammar.
Wurd up cuz!

Was just about to say.
-
Looks good for his age, best he's ever going to be now is less than at his best, pointless unless you have no other means to earn a living.
-
yes he would, olympia sucked this year
yep
-
yep
Well, he didn’t and Curry is the champ ::)
Would have, should have, could have
Nasser should have won one, flex should have won one, Kevin should have..... guess what? They DIDN'T

They didn't because Dorian and Ronnie are the two greatest bodybuilders of all time. I'm thinking of starting a thread as to who is superior? Dorian or Ronnie.

That’s a good call
Tough one there, don’t think that’s been discussed in detail just yet 🤔

No point. The board would very quickly and calmly reach agreement 8)

I think his whole upper body is slightly smaller.
-
he looked slightly better in 2018

The term Haters needs to be put to rest,if your a professional bodybuilder fans and media will critique your physique. Nobody is attacking you as a person.

On an old Bodybuilding Weekly podcast, Kev said that every time he placed 2nd, he felt he should have won. But if you look at his legs in 2000 compared to Ronnie's, I just don't see that at all, despite Ronnie's distended stomach.
-
Dorian Ronnie.
Fixed.
I can always tell by the typos when someone is typing from a smartphone or tablet. ;D

Ronnie was superior to kevin and flex ever was in 98, 99 and 2000 wasn’t even close
By 2000 flex was declining big time, kidney issues followed, Kevin’s legs were all gone and he wasn’t mentally in it anymore, in terms of winning it, he still had good placings until 2003 injury, and was gone after that

Yes, but legs much improved.
-
I honestly think Dexter in 03 or 04 brought to stage perhaps the best physique to ever step on stage. Though certainly not the freakiest, this is such a beautiful, well proportioned, thickly muscled body. What the sport is all about.

Flex wheeler in 93 was superior
Chris Cormier in 1999 was superior
The list goes on

and he only got third with that…
this year being about 50% that of 2003 he got 4th. Pretty telling the standards went way down

Yes he was
Martinez had a better physique than dexter ever did, 2007 beats every version of dexter
Dexters physique has always been odd to me, his mid section and torso is odd, no calves

I always forget that Dexter won the Olympia one time.
