I tried it years ago. Lots of technique involved and I fukkin' sucked at it.

What color nerf ball? Some of those nerf balls are juiced and not approved for competitive use.
I don’t mean to take away from your accomplishment, juiced ball or not a couple hundred feet might be a world record!

If you can get a scholarship to a college by putting (that's a push, rather that a throw) a 16lb iron sphere a fair distance, you hit the jackpot and a free ride.. High school athletes usually use a 12lb shot.
Perry O'Brien , the first guy to include serious lifting in his training, revolutionized the event by his attention to torque/body spin in his style maybe 60 years ago. Smashing old records easily.
Takes a lot of rep when learning to put....not that easy a skil.
