Looks like it might be cool. Not a Star Wars nut but I do enjoy watching the old ones.  Uriah’s to see if any SJW stuff will be injected into the plot.

Look goods.  Also heard Filoni is dropping 6-9 new Clone Wars episodes.  Could care less about Abraham and Kennedy's regurgitated trash coming out in the cinema.

They shouldn't be hard to find online.

It just premiered today.

They are not throwing them all up.

One episode a week.

There will be eight episodes in the first season.

If anyone is interested in torrents , The Mandalorian is just about everywhere on the web. So1 E1 out today, as noted before.

"SEE"..a series from Apple TV has also out, So1 E4 currently.  On just about any torrent site on the web.

"SEE" is outstanding if liking high quality Scifi and fantasy

I like See so far. Nothing I've seen before is like it. I like how the Queen prays as well.

Ep 2 of the Mandalorian gets released on Friday. One a week after that.

I thought it was great.

Yes! Lots of homage to the original Star Wars-universe.

Lots of Aliens and Droids from New Hope to Return of the Jedi, Carbonite, the importance of Beskar Steel etc

No crystal wolves, SJW-insertments etc

Much better than the current SJW Star Wars-trilogy that involved Kathleen "The Force is Female" Kennedy , Rion Johnson, JJ Abrams and the Feggets

It is so cheap, why not. The bundle has ESPN for sports, and Hulu for more mature content, and Disney. Multiple screens for the price of Netflix. If I stay 15 minutes later at work it pays for the month.

Sure, but I can't be bothered. Much like Netflix, I'll pay a few bucks. At this point in my life, paying 4 dollars a week for all this content, and sports is more convenience than anything else.

Star Wars?

Yes. No matter how good these spin-offs are, the damage done by The Last Jedi was massive.

Now, it's looking like The Rise of Skywalker is not even finished yet even though it releases in a month, rumours are they spent 300 million on re-shoots and have 6 six possible different endings. It's not looking good.

You don't take a giant shit on Luke Skywalker and then win me back as a fan.  I hope The Rise of Skywalker is a total disaster and goes down in history as the most hated film of all time.

They are bringing the Emperor back for fucksakes.  This trilogy is retarded from top to bottom.  Total shit-show.

As far as the Mexalorian......how long until he becomes a good guy?

Oh, dude. ???

I can't agree.

The whole episode was badass... to the extreme! :o

My dick is still hard after watching this.

The only thing that pissed me off was losing Carl Weathers.

Even though he is not dead, their working relationship seems finished.

It's telling me that there is going to be a lot of turnover when it comes to the cast.

It looks like it is going to be Mando and a lot of actors as guest stars episode to episode.

It looks like it is going to be Mando and a lot of actors as guest stars episode to episode.

THAT IS THE WAY!

Gotta love Bigboy Mando with the Heavy, must've been a Getbigger.

Oh, dude. ???

The only thing that pissed me off was losing Carl Weathers.

I don't think the Guild is done with Mando. Since Weathers plays the leader he might still appear, if not in this season then the next which is being worked on.

Having ad blocker and burner email accounts for signups are probably SOP for most others but I'm similarly internet impaired, EDB.

If I see E1 and it rocks I'd even pay Disney but I'm not signing up blind. Besides, what else are they going to have? Snow White, Mickey, and some eugenicist Hitlerite's head on ice?

Nah, it goes there bro. They just want an email signup. We're pining for the old days when a putlocker or whatever would just play it for you and be content with their ad bar on the side revenue.

"DMCA" they said.  "Progress" they said.

The Mexalorian is soft and he's already turning into a good guy (as I predicted).

Boba Fett would have just took the money and kept his mouth shut like a professional.

They're making more money with the soft choice due to all the Baby Yoda-merchandise (toys / plushies etc) being sold for christmas!

Logical choice!

It's AFTER Return of the Jedi but before Force Awakens.

Some believe baby yoda is the child of Yoda and Yaddle :D

And the main reason Yoda went to Dagobah was to avoid having to pay child support

The only saving grace to the fat Carano setup is the fact we know that she would still beat some ass. At the end of the day she was a pro.

She would gas out in 30 seconds.  Fat people can't run, and in war if you can't run.......it's time to die.

That's why I always laugh at these preppers buying $100,000 worth of guns and gear, but they weight 350 pounds.

After The Mandalorian, Natalia Tena Is First to Appear in Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and Harry Potter

One could (very easily) argue that the three biggest franchises in the world at any given moment are Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and Harry Potter. Now, one familiar face has shown up in all three, as Natalia Tena made her Star Wars debut in the sixth episode of The Mandalorian, after previously appearing as Osha in Thrones and Nymphadora Tonks in the Harry Potter series.

In The Mandalorian, Tena plays Xi'an, a mercenary who appears to be of the Twi'Lek species—you may recall Oola, Jabba the Hutt's Twi-Lek slave who he fed to the Rancor in Return of the Jedi. Xi'an has a romantic history with Mando, clearly, which, we can get into another time. But it's an interesting appearance for Tena, who becomes the first performer to appear in the modern iterations of Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and Harry Potter.

Tena's Osha in Game of Thrones was a staple of the early seasons, a wildling who at first appears adversarial, but eventually becomes a trusted friend of Bran and the Starks. Her Harry Potter character was similarly memorable, a half-blood witch, and a member of the Order of the Phoenix who was related to Sirius Black, Bellatrix Lestrange, and married to Professor Lupin. Tena appeared as the character in the last four films of the series.

Other performers—including, of course, Pedro Pascal— have appeared in two of the three; Gwendoline Christie, who, of course, played Brienne of Tarth on Thrones, also appeared in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi as Captain Phasma. Domhnall Gleeson, who plays the villainous General Hux in the new Star Wars movies, also played Bill Weasley in both Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows installments. A few others, like Ciaran Hinds (Mance Rayder in Thrones and Dumbledore's brother in Potter) have made appearances in two of the three, but Tena is the first to check off all three boxes.

I know that there have been some complaints about some of the episodes, but the show is really working for me.

Seeing X-Wings and Twi'leks...

Badass.

Like Rogue One, this show is getting it.

It shows that things can be done right when the right people are in charge.

Star Wars: Disney CEO Says Disney+ Shows Could Become Movies

After issuing a Star Wars slowdown and putting the feature film side of the franchise on carbonite until 2022, Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger says television will serve as a big component of Star Wars moving forward through live-action and animated original programming to premiere on the Disney+ streaming service. Already home to the debut season of The Mandalorian, the first live-action series set in a galaxy far, far away, Disney+ is part of Disney’s plans to be “agnostic” with its platforms, says Iger, allowing Disney to convert movies into television — as it will with its Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spinoff — and, conversely, creates potential for television shows to become movies.

“Yes. I don’t look at it as just television, I look at it as an extension of Star Wars storytelling,” Iger told The Star Wars Show when asked if television is a big part of the Star Wars brand moving forward. “What Disney+ has given us the ability to do is to do just that, is to bring Star Wars to people in new ways, and to bring new Star Wars to people.”

Iger continued, “It’s not the same places or the same characters. Just look at Mandalorian. While, obviously, there’s a lot shared, there’s a lot that’s really fresh, and I love that.”

The Jon Favreau-created series most famously introduced the world to its breakout character, colloquially referred to as “Baby Yoda,” as well as a slew of other original fan-favorites, including its titular armored bounty hunter (Pedro Pascal), former Rebel shock trooper Cara Dune (Gina Carano), bounty hunter guild head Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) and Ugnaught Kuiil (Nick Nolte).

Because the Star Wars galaxy is wide and its library of characters near limitless, The Mandalorian and other Disney+ shows have the potential to transition into feature films.

“I love the ability to really be agnostic in terms of what platform it’s being made for,” Iger said. “And so it could be, down the road, that a TV show becomes a movie and a movie becomes a TV series. I’m not making any announcements here or not, but I think it’s important for us to be agnostic.”

Asked what’s next for Star Wars over the next 40 years following the arrival of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the ninth and final entry in the episodic saga started in 1977, Iger notes Lucasfilm will determine what “makes the most sense” for its film slate post-Skywalker.

“The beauty of all this is that we’ll continue to tell stories between now and whenever the next film is, and while we’re doing that, we will work to find what makes the most sense to be released as a big screen experience,” he said. “And there are a number of choices, there are a number of discussions, there are a number of very talented people, and that to me is very exciting. In the meantime, fans of Star Wars are being well-served, I believe, with The Mandalorian and with what’s to come with the prequel to Rogue One and with Obi-Wan and with Clone Wars.”

Disney+ is now developing an untitled Rogue One spinoff centered around Diego Luna's Cassian Andor and an Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor as the exiled Jedi.

Did a Disney+ 7 day free trial and watched the whole thing just to see Apollo Creed and Gustavo (Pollos Hermanos).  Show was entertaining, better than all of the newer Star Wars movies except for Rogue One.

Saw Rise of Skywalker for free too.  It's garbage.

The Mandalorian main theme song is pretty good:

Epi 5 was Baby Yoda burnout.  If he isn't going to do force stuff like the levitating rhino, then he is useless.

I thought baby yoda was just a little add on, didn't realize until I watched the series that he is a main character and the whole show is about Saving Baby Yoda.

In Season 1, Boba Fetts feet (with spurs) were shown when he inspected Ming-Na Wens character in Episode 5 - The Gunslinger.

Mandalorian series is 5+ years after Return of the Jedi (after escaping the Sarlacc), so he is older. Old bald guy compared to the younger Mando.

What kid are you talking about, Mandos flashbacks?

Boburt will probably be some Mentor-character to Djin Djarin.

How is Mandalorian post ROTJ yet they have a baby Yoda?    If it's 5 years later why are people talking about the Jedi like some myth and most have no idea what the Jedi are.

People call him Baby Yoda (since it's a baby and they don't know the name of the species), but it isn't Yoda himself, Yoda died during "Empire Strikes Back" years ago.

It's the same species though (they don't have a name for the species yet, but it may be revealed later), and some speculate it is the child of Yoda and Yaddle.

If you ask me, i don't think Yoda ever had sex though
(https://i.redd.it/mumdw3e3t2041.jpg)

IF that was the case, they do make a cute couple!

Maybe the Babys real name is "Yaddle" or "Vissy"?

Favreau has said that The Mandalorian is set five years after the fall of the Empire in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983) and 25 years before the rise of the First Order, the authoritarian regime that is firmly in control of the galaxy when Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015) begins.

In terms of Star Wars years, Return of the Jedi is set in 4 ABY (after the Battle of Yavin) and The Force Awakens is set in 34 ABY, which means The Mandalorian takes place around 9 ABY.

This is a period of time when the New Republic, the democratic government formed by the Rebel Alliance following their victory over the Empire, has only a tenuous hold on the galaxy — especially its lawless outskirts.

I'm sure she is going to be a main character in season 2.  Maybe Disney is forcing the strong woman role and showcasing it more like they do in all films.  It wouldn't be a Disney production without a strong princess.

I've never watched it either.  I'm not interested in TV shows with dragons.

I am beginning to watch more and more films from the 40s on to the 60s and 70s.   It's not that they're all necessarily better but that I don't have to divorce myself from reality.  I know that movies should allow us to do just that but not this PC BS.  Television has a libtard cuckold agenda that I want no part of.  It is also present in films now.  The movie "Justice League" featured an obviously islimic owned small business being "threatened" by whitey at the beginning.  If I want to view the film now I just fast forward through that sort of crap.  They're not trying to teach me anything, they're bent of force feeding me their guilt. FTN.

I just watched President Trumps speech from Tucson. I wish I could have been there just for the historical aspect of it.

Democrats were watching for their hysterical aspect.  That film will be titled, "Field of Screams".

The Mandalorian Season 2: Who Plays The Weequay Bartender

The Mandalorian season 2 premiere featured a handful of notable guest stars that played brand new characters, including a Weequay bartender on Tatooine. Seeing as the figure was an alien sentient species, viewers may have had their eyes on the end credits to catch the actor behind the unrecognizable figure. The unnamed Weequay was actually played by a seasoned actor - more specifically, W. Earl Brown.

The Mandalorian season 2, episode 1, "The Marshal" follows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and the Child as they search for information regarding the location of fellow Mandalorians. Their intel leads them to Mos Pelgo region of Tatooine, a small mining town that's no longer on the maps. After arriving in town, Din enters a cantina where he meets the Weequay proprietor. He then encounters a man known as "The Marshal" who's wearing traditional Mandalorian armor. This figure is actually Cobb Vanth, and the armor he previously obtained once belonged to the legendary Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett. In exchange for the armor, Din agrees to help Cobb kill a nearby krayt dragon, which requires the help of town locals, including the Weequay bartender.

W. Earl Brown's guest appearance in The Mandalorian may have been short, but it was still significant. The 57-year-old actor is best known for his movie roles like Scream, There's Something About Mary, The Alamo, The Lone Ranger, Black Mass, and The Highwaymen. Brown has also had a bevy of work in TV shows with notable titles such as Seinfeld, The X-Files, Six Feet Under, CSI, American Horror Story, Chicago Fire, True Detective, and Preacher. More noteworthy is the fact that Brown had a recurring role on Deadwood and an appearance on Justified. Both series starred Timothy Olyphant, who appeared alongside Brown in The Mandalorian season 2, episode 1 as Cobb Vanth.

Brown shared on Twitter that series creator Jon Favreau purposely reunited Olyphant and himself to recreate the sheriff/barman dynamic from their respective characters in Deadwood. The actor reminisced about the gig, which was highly secretive during the entire experience. The episode was actually filmed before The Mandalorian debuted on Disney+ in November 2019, so Brown wasn't filled in about the plot, nor the existence of Baby Yoda. All he knew was that he was working alongside Olyphant and Pascal, two men he was personally familiar with. As a major Star Wars fan, one of Brown's dreams came true thanks to his opportunity in playing the Weequay cantina owner.

Not only did Brown get to have one-on-one scenes with Din and Cobb, but he also got the chance at an action sequence when the group battled the krayt dragon. Based on Brown's retelling of his experience working on The Mandalorian through social media, it sounds like his role was a one-off guest appearance. That said, several season 1 figures are set to make their return in the follow-up season, so there's always a chance Brown's Weequay gets more screen time in the future. The Weequay species is known to be resistant to blaster fire so he could prove to be a key ally to someone like Din and the Child.

They showed Boba Fett in Season 1.  He was a little kid.  Is he all of a sudden going to be an adult in seaosn 2?

He's quite old in Season 2 Episode 1.

So far The Mandalorian" has been excellent.

Having said that, I would like to add that I refuse to view these attention slut video reviews of some twatling and their over emotional "reaction" to some show/movie.  I am going to guess that they all pay some sort of "cross cultural homage" to the supposed response of normal black people to a magic trick.

Fuck That Noise.  ;D

Here was my response to viewing the latest episode of the show last night:  "That was a good show.  Time to watch a movie.  Hmmmmm..."Song Of The Thin Man" it shall be."

How The Mandalorian Sets Up An Ahsoka Tano Star Wars Spinoff Series

The Mandalorian Chapter 13 is titled "The Jedi" and it features the long-awaited return (and live-action debut) of Ahsoka Tano! The live-action Ahsoka is played by Rosario Dawson, who was rumored to be appearing in The Mandalorian season 2 long before her casting as Ahsoka was confirmed. The rumors didn't stop with Dawson appearing in The Mandalorian, either: there have been rumblings that Ahsoka could be getting her own Star Wars spinoff series, as part of the growing Star Wars TV block on Disney+. Now that Ahsoka's episode of The Mandalorian is out, it definitely seems like the door is being left open for her Star Wars spinoff series!

Warning: The Mandalorian SPOILERS Follow!

In "Chapter 13: The Jedi" sees Mandalorian Din Djarin travels to the forest planet Corvus, where Bo-Katan Kryze told him he would find Ahsoka Tano. Ahsoka is indeed on the planet; she's been trying to defeat cruel Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth of Calodan, who has been torturing and subjugating the people of the town.

Mando enlists Ahsoka's help in learning more about Baby Yoda (like The Child's real name: Grogu) and the creature's Force powers; Ahsoka recruits Mando to help stop Magistrate Elsbeth and her henchmen. Together, the unlikely partners (a Mandalorian and a Jedi) manage to take down the evildoers and free the people.

As an epilogue to the battle, we learn why Ahsoka was on Corvus - and why she wanted to take down Elsbeth so badly: the magistrate is revealed to be working for Grand Admiral Thrawn - the Imperial mastermind who was lost in deep space during Star Wars Rebels.

This name-drop of Grand Admiral Thrawn is a perfect platform form which to spinoff into an Ahsoka Tano series. Ahsoka now has a new destination in her hunt for Thrawn - as well as a lot of backstory to fill in between the end of Rebels and this new episode of The Mandalorian. That's a perfect framework for an Ahsoka limited series that jumps between the early years of the Sequel Trilogy era, and those early years of the Original Trilogy era. Star Wars has basically used Ahsoka as the major gap-filler character in the franchise timeline - no need to change that now.

There's also room for fan-favorite Rebels characters like Ezra, Mandalorian Sabine Wren, captain Hera or clone Captain Rex to all show up in an Ahsoka series, which be an "event" on par with Ahsoka getting her live-action debut.

Star Wars: Original Boba Fett Actor Jeremy Bulloch Dies at 75

Actor Jeremy Bulloch, most known for having sported the original armor for Boba Fett in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, has passed away at the age of 75. While it's hard to rival embodying Fett for the galaxy far, far away, the actor has more than a hundred credits to his name, which included Doctor Who and multiple James Bond films. Bulloch had a small role in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and, while he hadn't acted in a Star Wars film in a substantial capacity for years, he was a regular on the convention circuit up until he retired from live appearances in 2018.

News of his passing was shared by actor Daniel Logan, who played the young Boba Fett in the prequel Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.

Boba Fett first debuted in an animated segment for The Star Wars Holiday Special, but it was his capture of Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back that really captivated audiences. Part of the character's appeal in that film is how much Bulloch let the armor do the work in conveying the bounty hunter's stoic nature.

"I didn't get too much [direction], just that he's a soldier or a bounty hunter," Bulloch shared with Thrillist back in 2016. "You see the different costumes, they're all standing there. You've got [director] Irvin Kershner who is a great director, just huge fun. He sort of made it bearable in the heat, and he said, 'We're finished with you shortly, so we'll get you out of that costume. Don't worry.' I said, 'No, I'm fine,' because I didn't want to be seen being a ninny going, 'Oh, it's awfully hot, can we have a break?' You don't do that. You just carry on filming until you're released."

While the character seemingly met his demise in Return of the Jedi, the current season of The Mandalorian confirmed that he had survived his fall into the Great Pit of Carkoon. Despite Temuera Morrison taking on the role, Bulloch had long felt that this wasn't the end of his character.

"Boba will be alright. He'll get out of this," the actor shared. "If there's a problem, he can get out. He doesn't need help. He can do it himself. Apparently, he gets out of the sarlacc pit -- I haven't really kept up with the books because, to be quite honest, I haven't got the time. I'm always busy with something -- grandchild there, and that one there, and one over there. Occasionally I pick up and read a bit about it, but I'm not that serious, really. You can get the information off one of the fans."

Our thoughts go out to Bulloch's family and friends at this difficult time.

Former Lucasfilm Staff Clears Up The Mandalorian Season 3 and Book of Boba Fett Confusion

Since the explosive finale of The Mandalorian Season Two on Friday, fans have been asking the question — what exactly is The Book of Boba Fett? The way the show left it, some thought it might be the point The Mandalorian enters into an anthology phase and does a different story each year. That sounds all fine and dandy, except for the fact Hollywood trades have already reported a Temuera Morrison-starring Boba Fett series has already started rolling cameras.

Now, one concept artist that has dabbled in the Star Wars universe has clarified the situation, suggesting The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett are, in fact, two separate shows for Disney+.

"As I understand it, [The Book of Boba Fett] and [The Mandalorian] Season 3 have differing shooting schedules, despite potentially releasing around the same date, in addition Pedro Pascal has confirmed he's signed aboard for the third season," concept artist Paul Bateman tweeted Saturday afternoon.

Bateman is known as a colleague of the late Ralph McQuarrie, and did art work on Revenge of the Sith. That said, Bateman did make sure to point out he isn't acting on behalf of the studio, and fans shouldn't think he represents Lucasfilm in an official capacity.

In a follow-up tweet, Bateman added, "I'm saying it's a very understandable conclusion to reach that it's much more likely we're talking about 2 entirely different shows than not. But then it is still 2020 so I supposed anything could happen!"

"He's priceless. He's immeasurable. He is the exact person for that role," Dave Filoni previously told the Star Wars Show of Morrison. "He's got the armor, and we used it."

Morrison had last played Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones, and the Clone Troopers in Revenge of the Sith in 2005.

The Book of Boba Fett is expected to his Disney+ Christmas 2021.

It seems they may have altered it already.  Bringing back Boba, then Grogu.  If Luke took him to train him, then he meets 4 year old Kylo Ren.  Kylo goes crazy and kills all of the kids.  Does he kill Grogu?  probably not since he is stronger with the force.

"Andor" –Starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor and Alan Tudyk as K-2SO in the prequel series to "Rogue One" that is already filming in London.

"Ahsoka" and "The Rangers of the New Republic" – They will both form part of "The Mandalorian" timeline. The former will be a limited series starring Rosario Dawson and not much is known about the latter, except that it will probably follow an episodic format. Both will be managed by Dave Filoni and John Favreau.

"Bad Batch" – An animated series set to air in 2021. They first appeared in an episode of "The Clone Wars" called "The Bad Batch" (S07, E01) that followed a clone commando squad during the Clone Wars called Clone Force 99 that consisted of four clone troopers designed with unique "mutations" that make them exceptional soldiers and extremely skilled in their field

"A Droid Story" – Not much was said about this, except that Lucasfilm's animation department will partner with their VFX team, Industrial Light and Magic to create a new show that will somehow incorporate C-3PO and R2-D2.

"Visions" – Again, very little was said about this except that it will be a collection of 10 short films celebrating the "Star Wars" Universe.

"Lando" – Following the popular character first seen in "The Empire Strikes Back" and played by Billy Dee Williams and then later portrayed by Donald Glover in "Solo." Not much was said about this, except that it will be an "event series," which means it will probably be a limited series.

"The Acolyte" – A mystery-thriller live-action series from "Russian Doll" creator Leslye Headland that will focus on the emergence of dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic Era.

Plus there will be a new, as-yet unnamed Taika Waititi "Star Wars" movie. Not much is known about this, but during the event, Kathleen Kennedy called his approach to "Star Wars," "fresh, unexpected and unique" so it could be interesting, whatever it is.

But the best news from the event is that the amazing Patty Jenkins will direct a feature length movie entitled "Rogue Squadron." Jenkins posted an incredible tweet yesterday explaining how her father was a distinguished USAF F4 pilot who received the silver star during the Vietnam war and that she'd always dreamed of directing the best fighter pilot movie she possibly could to honor his memory. And now she has that chance, as she puts on an X-Wing pilot's helmet…and we reach for the nearest box of tissues to wipe the tears from our eyes.

As long as it's handled by Favreau and Filoni, i have 100 % faith that it will be true to the original source-material and then improved upon.

The next big star to get canned might be Chris Pratt. Every few months Twitter comes after him hard, one of these days they'll hit the right combo.

The original Carano post wasn't that bad, but we must have group think. Even the French laugh at us here in the States -

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/09/world/europe/france-threat-american-universities.html .

" PARIS — The threat is said to be existential. It fuels secessionism. Gnaws at national unity. Abets Islamism. Attacks France’s intellectual and cultural heritage.

The threat? “Certain social science theories entirely imported from the United States,’’ said President Emmanuel Macron.

French politicians, high-profile intellectuals and journalists are warning that progressive American ideas — specifically on race, gender, post-colonialism — are undermining their society. “There’s a battle to wage against an intellectual matrix from American universities,’’ warned Mr. Macron’s education minister.

Emboldened by these comments, prominent intellectuals have banded together against what they regard as contamination by the out-of-control woke leftism of American campuses and its attendant cancel culture. "

Here's a transcript of her instagram post -

"Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors... even by children... Because history is edited, most people today don't realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?" .

People just need to leave social media.

This.

“Carano, who played the recurring character Cara Dune on the “Star Wars” series, deleted the post but it was widely shared online and spurred the #FireGinaCarano hashtag to trend.”

How many times have we seen that?  Deleting the post just draws more attention to it.  Keep your mouth shut and leave the pontificating to politicians and academics. Actors who talk out of turn quickly become unemployed actors.  For future reference, there are certain metaphors one should never invoke: Jews in Nazi Germany... slavery... removal of the Native American, etc.  More often than not the effort to do so goes south and reflects poorly on the speaker.

However, this should not be an offense that causes termination.

That I understand.

However, she was using a metaphor highlight the treatment of conservatives.  She wasn't mocking Disney's core audience.

Probably a poor metaphor, as Bay pointed out, but shouldn't cause termination.

Pedro Pascal tweeted an now deleted tweet comparing Trump supporters to Nazis.  No metaphor there, no  termination either.

This just shows the bias, and Gina's point, is real.

HBO's The Last of Us TV show casts The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal as Joel. Naughty Dog's wildly popular video game franchise took a major step forward to getting a live-action adaptation last year. HBO announced early in the year that Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin was developing The Last of Us as a TV show. It was then announced near the end of the year, and after The Last of Us Part II's huge launch, that it had been picked up for a series order.

While news on HBO's adaptation of The Last of Us had been relatively slow beyond these updates, some signs of it making major progress materialized recently. The series added a new director for its pilot after the original choice had to exit due to scheduling. It was also just announced that Game of Thrones breakout Bella Ramsey was cast as Ellie. The news gave HBO's The Last of Us show half of its leading duo, and fans only had to wait a few hours to find out who is playing Joel.

You may have all the opinions you want... and you may express them too.  If you want to "man up" from the unemployment line go for it.  Let me know how that works out for you...  You may be standing next to Ms. Carano.   :-*

Most people are at will employees.  This means you are working without a long term contract and the employer may get rid of you for almost any reason or no reason at all.  When you make public statements that reflect poorly on your employer or that are discordant with their values they will appropriately terminate the relationship.  Very few employees (like actors) have skills so unique and specialized that they cannot be easily replaced.  Gee, how many wanna be actors are there in Hollywood? ::)

Most social media is little more than an outlet for vanity (gone wrong).  Gina Carano is a perfect example.

Mando is just like R1.  It's written well enough where the actors are interchangeable.  I really didn't care for him taking off the helmet in the season final.  Just keep the voice the same, and I'm good.

Gina is really a minor co-star.  Just get another dark-eyed, brunette Italian, and all is fine.  Melissa Ponzio can replace her with no drop-off.

You can almost excuse the first few people this happened to, but by now everyone should know that their behavior/opinion is on display (through social media) and bad behavior--unrelated to your job--can get you fired.  Remember that woman in Central Park, Amy Cooper, who falsely claimed a black man was threatening her life?  The lie was caught on video for the world to see.  Within 24 hours her employer got wind of it and she was fired.

White Woman Is Fired After Calling Police on Black Man in Central Park
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/26/nyregion/amy-cooper-dog-central-park.html

Remember when Dr. Anjali Ramkissoon attacked the Uber driver and trashed his car?  She too was fired by her employer.

Potty-mouthed Miami doctor finally gets fired after she was filmed drunkenly attacking Uber driver while trashing his car

The Star Wars Holiday Special is the most infamous film in Star Wars history. Released about a year and a half after the original Star Wars became an instant cultural phenomenon, the Christmas special was so utterly reviled by fans (and with good cause!) that it was never officially shown again anywhere. It was never rebroadcast after its first airing on CBS in November 1978, and George Lucas never released it on home video — despite the fact that from a historical perspective, the Holiday Special is an incredibly important piece of the Star Wars universe.

For all its flaws, The Star Wars Holiday Special is also the place where Boba Fett made his first appearance, in an animated sequence titled “The Story of the Faithful Wookie” that also happens to be the very first Star Wars cartoon in the franchise’s history. Even though the rest of the Holiday Special is a disaster of bad comedy and bizarre musical numbers, the 10 minutes of “The Story of the Faithful Wookie” is a pretty solid piece of animation. But because it was part of The Star Wars Holiday Special, it’s been hard to find for decades.

Until now. For the very first time, part of The Star Wars Holiday Special is coming out of the Lucasfilm vault and getting an official release. According to Disney’s monthly announcement of what’s coming to its streaming service, “The Story of the Faithful Wookie” will be available on Disney+ starting on April 2. That same day a whole slew of vintage Star Wars content is getting added to the service. The two Ewok movies — Caravan of Courage and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor — will be joining Disney+ as well, along with two seasons of the Star Wars: Ewoks cartoon and the Genndy Tartakovsky Star Wars: Clone Wars series.

Those are all pretty notable additions, but “The Story of the Faithful Wookie” absolutely tops them all. With The Book of Boba Fett coming this Christmas, it’s the perfect time to finally give it the release it deserves. Next, we need all of the Holiday Special on Disney+. Don’t make us spend another Christmas without an HD print of Bea Arthur’s big Star Wars musical number.

Carano was definitely chunky on the Mandelorian.  Good show though.

They say the camera adds ten pounds.

She'll be huge when she gets older unless she really watches her weight.

Boba Fett Solo Series Has Wrapped Filming and Debuts in December 2021

Temuera Morrison (Aquaman) is cast in the role of Boba Fett and had a recurring role on Disney+ show The Mandalorian. Since then, the first season of Mandalorian spin-off, The Book of Boba Fett has wrapped production.

Gamesradar shared that when Morrison spoke with SFX Magazine, he couldn’t reveal many details about the plot, but he did discuss what it was like filming a show of this scale during Covid. “You walk on set, and you hear, ‘Shields down! Shields down!’ So we have to air those studios out every 20 minutes. It’s called a purge, so you know you’ve got a toilet break then. There’s a lot to shoot in one day, but with health and safety and the requirements, it filters out a lot of the bullshit, put it that way.”

The first hint of a Boba Fett series came during The Mandalorian second season, in which Fett was a large part of the narrative arc. The Book of Boba Fett will debut on Disney+ in December 2021, right before The Mandalorian season three premiere.

More of a Disney clone, than a Clone Wars clone but I'll hold additional judgment after a couple of episodes.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Adds Christopher Lloyd to Season 3 Cast

Star Wars: The Mandalorian has become a key part of the sci-fi landscape over the past few years — and now, it looks like the Disney+ series will be adding a new icon from the genre to its cast. On Friday, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Back to the Future and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock's Christopher Lloyd will be joining Season 3 of The Mandalorian, which is currently filming in southern California. While the character Lloyd is playing is currently under wraps, the report describes it as a guest star role. It is unclear at this point how many episodes Llloyd could ultimately end up appearing in, after several of The Mandalorian's guest-starring characters have returned in later episodes.

Agreed, my friend.  We cancelled for a long time but returned as we have grandchildren and my daughter has Disney so I took it up again.  I am looking forward to another season as it has improved.

I also watched "Raised by Wolves" (by my favorite living director, Ridley Scott.  It has been pretty good without the PC crap shoved down the throat by "The Wheel of Time" lesbo & bi-guy + diverShitty crappola shit added by Amazon.  Aes Sedai that bump bush and their Warders smoke wang.  FTN.

Tried "Discovery of Witches" and decided it to be too much Recovery of Bitches but then I prefer  Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre over Harry Potter stuff.

I don't think I can stand more diverShitty in the form of "The Rangs of Powah" bullshit proffered by (again) Amazon.  Tolkien is surely rotating in the ground. One wonders if his heirs sold him out.  Negro dwarves and elves?

Lame.  I suppose evile whitey could just retaliate by producing great black stories starring white folk as the new black folk but I seriously don't want to watch an all white cast playing the slaves in "Roots" and I doubt anyone thinks "Little White Sambo" is worthy of filming.
