Anyone here have or use the adjustable iron master dumbbells?Thinking about grabbing a set,649.00 for the adjustable set 5-75 lbs with stand which is pretty good if you ask me.Has thousands of great reviews couldn’t even find a bad review but wanted to know if anyone had personal experience? They come with lifetime warranty.

I've got a range and really like just grabbing and going. Fuck having to load and unload. That would get old real quick.
That sounds like some $ anyway. I'd just go with standard dbs.
-
I have these. Worth every penny.
Easy to adjust weight with a few twists.
I've had regular adjustable dumbbells. Never again. Even those Iron masters look too bothersome to me now.

Why not just buy olympic dumbbells and a bunch of 25 or 10 pound plates?

Personally..Don't have the space and don't want to mess around adjusting weights.

Hey Rob, I have the extended set that goes up to 120lbs. Absolutely love them..easy and quick to change and they don’t take up much room. The Ironmaster bench is also awesome...very sturdy and well made. Highly recommend both.
-
They would especially be great to have in a small apartment. I just have regular metal dumbbells bought at the mall. They are all I use now.

Yeah was looking at grabbing the adjustable bench as well. The dumbbells stay tight and feel solid when using?Would definitely grab the 120lb add on as well.
Thank you gentlemen for all your responses.

These are body max, but there are several companies that do ones similar and all have excellent reviews.
They feel great and stay tight. Only downside with these dumbbells is that you can't drop them or you risk breaking them.

Thank you again. That’s no problem, never dropped dumbbells and never would.I get angry when I see people throwing dumbbells around.

I have them.
They are perfect.
Got mine off craigslist with stand for 350, then bought the addition to go to 120. Had the bowflex 1090s and these destroy them.

Most can't afford a machine of such engineering excellence.

Rob is not ready to work out on the Bicep Supination Machine.
It takes years of meditation to mentally prepare oneself for the challenge.

Really? They look so big that they would be awkward.but 95lbs would be perfect.

Ironmaster dumbbells you can drop even though I don't drop dumbbells. PowerBlocks you can't drop them. I remember going back and force on which one I would buy. The cheapest solution is to have a waist high table. I got spin lock dumbbell handles. I can quickly make any weight dumbbell up to 90lbs. I know some don't like the bar sticking out but I found ways around that. For dumbbell incline I found if I angle the dumbbell on my thighs before going back it's no problem. Above 90lbs I have fixed hex dumbbells.

The above link is two 100lbs adjustable dumbbells for $199.

great for home use, a gym I used to go to had two sets , two people using dumbbells , everyone else was fucked..

opposite actually, they are pretty compact. and unlike others, they are only
as long as the weight you pick. some of the others are 15 inches long whether
you are using 20 or 80 lbs.

I have spinlock dumbbells. The bars are inexpensive. Of course you need the plates but I have plates.
I have enough handles and plates to make up about 8 pairs of dumbbells in various weights.
The only thing I don't like is that they loosen up constantly. Not a big deal but annoying.
I can understand the space advantage to adjustable dumbbells.

I have the same setup in my garage gym.

Yeah I have prob 5 sets of the spin lock and 500lbs In plates between 2.5-25s but I can’t stand changing them constantly. Was gonna buy a set 5-100 but the iron masters grabbed my attention.Space reasons and convenience I guess.

You won't regret the purchase.
Lifetime guarantee on the product as well.

Yeah that lifetime guarantee is pretty much gonna seal the deal,I think.

If you're patient, somebody's usually moving a set.
use searchtempest to search all the craigslists and ebay, etc at once in your area code. Just put in how many miles you're willing to travel and you can usually find a set.

x2.
I had some ironmasters. I liked them at first, but honestly, the adjustment, fast as it is, is still too slow. I never adjusted them mid workout. Ended up "donating" them to my friends brother.

How long does it take?

How long does it take?
It’s easy once you get the hang of it. Takes a minute maybe.
-
;D
-
I have them. I have the add on to 120 a piece. What I did was buy dumbbells from 5-40 lbs and then use the iron masters for 50+ lbs each. I like being able to quickly super set the smaller weights and not always swap out plates.
-
A friend had Powerblocks that were out of warranty and had a part break. They quickly sent him a new handle. Sounds like a good company.
-

That's not long at all. I would not give mine away for that like ceph.
-
It's quick to put plates together and spin the locks. Nothing is quicker than power blocks.
-

Ceph is generous to a fault, apparently.
But there's a groove in the handle that you need to line up to drop the lock in easily.....I never knew it, and it was a pain in the ass.
Maybe he never found it, lol.

haha i did... i probably just have less patience. plus i didn't have a great home gym. if i had a good home gym but not enough space for a decent dumbbell rack, i would have kept them.
