Burned in Mexico, treated by an American hospital.  I wish he hadn’t suffered this awfulness.
Kid has a special spirit.  Thanks for sharing.

Someone browses Pol, I was binge watching these videos last night. A lot of them are really sad but the kids are all in high spirits.

What an amazingly honest, brave and really cool person Zaid is. It breaks my heart to see people who've suffered like this because nobody should have to go through what he's been through and yet he offers us all a great lesson; life is precious.

As an aside, I am not sure how it's possible for anyone to binge watch these stories. Just this one had me balling my eyes out.

Can't think of anything worse.

There was a girl in the college I went to that had been badly burned when her family's camping tent caught fire.

She wasn't as bad as this kid but it was bad.  Real bad.

Awful.

There ain't no God.

Tragic.

But it happened when he was 2. Doubt he remembers what it was like to have sight and full use of limbs etc.

He probably isn't able to grasp how horrific he looks either. He only knows that world so it's easier to stay positive.

It's far worse for those who suffer a terrible disfigurement/disability and can fully comprehend what they have lost.

It was my biggest fear growing up after I watched the tv movie "David" in 1988.
