Deepfake Roundtable.

Never went on a cruise, never wanted to, never want to either.
Stuck at sea w/ gross/diseased drunk jack-asses, no thanks.

Cruising with Celebrity or Royal Caribbean, heck even Disney, is the best and most vacation for your money you can ever get. It's not for everybody, but it's a heck of a lot better than the media make it out to be. It's also a huge financial blessing to people from third world countries who work on the ship, the ports, excursions, etc., and it keeps them from wanting to leave their country and immigrate to another country for financial reasons.
Liberals love to knock cruising because it doesn't fit their agenda (Corporate profits, the environment, open borders, cheap labor, bla, bla, bla).

Why go on a cruise when you can buy a yacht? Come on, Howard. You’re talking to getbiggers here! The only time we use “cruise” is when we’re discussing our next blast and cruise.

Just make sure you trade in your yacht for a new one every year. Getbiggers don't sport year old models, of anything.

If I make to 50 (fucked, shark could snap me), I'll be hunting rich widows (milfs) on cruises 8)

Just gotta buff out the scratch marks off from colliding with Goodrum’s vessel last month!

I agree with your original feelings and went on several cruises in past years.
I loved it and always enjoyed the experience when I went with my ( ex and current) wife.
Sadly in recent years, there has been a growing number of troubling incidents .
I've read several accounts of passengers being forced off for medical reasons .
They catch a virus on the boat and get stranded in some forgien place that doesn't accept their medical Ins.
Or, the ships runs into trouble and the passengers get stranded in E Bumfuk .
Plus, many of the carribean locations and Mexico have criminal gangs that prey upon cruise passengers.
It breaks my heart to see this as I miss the old days of cruising.
Stop reading and watching liberal propaganda. Everyone cruising to places other than Alaska, New England and Canada should purchase travel insurance. It's stupid not to.

More reality ( actual candid cruise pics)

I'd say the 4 schmoes packed into the lil' hot tub would be a getbigger magnet, but wtf
As some of you know, I do travel photography as a side gig and I have done probably over 90 cruises in the past 12 years. I can honestly say those photos there are a bit of a stretch. Yeah, you got buffets... but you don't HAVE to eat there. You can eat other places on the ship without the senior cattle lines. The hot tubs hardly ever get crowded because people tend to respect boundaries of others (I still wouldn't get in them any due to the higher than normal level of chems in them because of the overuse), etc... cruises are a great way to see many places with only having to unpack once. Yeah, ships break and have problems. So do hotels. Cruiselines will basically overcompensate you for the hassle though.
When I turn down a chance to work a cruise gig now days, it is mostly because of the area it is going to. Not because of the ship or experience itself. I no longer do any cruise going to the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Bermuda, Panama Canal, Alaska, TransAtlantic/TransPacific, Hawaii, or Tahiti. But I would still recommend them to others.

A cruise ship sounds like be stuck in a casino hotel for days. You have gambling, restaurants, pools but you are struck on the boat till it reaches a port. Then you have limited time to check the place out. I remember being in Key West watching all the cruise people looking for the beach. If you haven't been there it's looks like a disgusting little bay beach. I don't get the allure of cruising but so many people love it.

Been on only one cruise and it was Disney and it was great. I’m headed out in a week for a Christmas cruise.

Let me know how it goes. I’m thinking next year this is on the agenda. Same date range too. You have kids?

Yeah I got a few kids. Every few years we go somewhere on Christmas so we don’t have to do the Christmas shuffle driving all over the place. It makes it irritating. Plus, now we don’t have to buy gifts for family other than nieces and nephews and then for our kids.
Took the family to France a few years ago for Christmas and it was great. We typically take a sitter when going out of the country with the kids, but the Disney Cruise negates the need for that. I’ll post updates and PM you some ideas once I get back. From reading your posts I’ll assume you can any with me, financially, that is... ;D

Funny we started taking a sitter last year and it made travel so much more enjoyable. We got back from Delray last night and didn’t take her. I’m exhausted!
What’s the age for Disney cruise kids club?

Pics of the sitter please?

Three and up for kids club. Last time I went my youngest couldn’t go so we had to put him in the nursery, which was pretty shitty so we kept him with us. The actual kids club is bad ass and will entertain them for hours. They give you a little later if your kid wants you to come get them, but they don’t. Sitter is crucial, even if you’re not out partying, it’s good to just have an extra set of hands at the beach or wherever. Also for sitting at the house when you go out. We pay for their room, flight, food/drinks and give them $100 day so it is a win for everybody.
Pics of the sitter please?
Fuck no, both of mine are 20-21 year old cuties. Thought it was a setup at first ;D

Damn I can’t wait another two years for this cruise as my daughter is hounding me to go. I’m with you no way I could leave my son if it’s not that great. Looks like the sitter is getting a free trip in March.
Feeling cheap I gave mine $75 last trip albeit it wasn’t ever discussed. I’ll up it to $100 if that’s standard. Good advice thanks.

This volcano burning is just the latest in numerous cruise mishaps.
I used to love going on cruises.
I stopped going 3 years ago when I saw a growing number of problems with passengers.
Most were health related where some passenger catches a crazy virus on the cruise .
Then, the cruise officials kick 'em off the boat. They end up stranded and struggle to find the $$ to pay some foriegn hospital.
I was going to brave the crowds and take a cruise with an old friend to Hawaii and around the islands stopping in Maui to visit a gal we've known since high school. He backed out (for now) and it was his idea in the first place. If you can't trust your friends, who can you trust?
This photo examples my worst nightmare.

Absolutely not. I know you say some folks tell you that you look like him, but I don't see it...aside from height and hair color.

Rory wants to go on a cruise but I highly dislike anything to do with water. Don’t go to the beach or pool, don’t enjoy swimming, and have a general fear of being in water.
What should I tell Rory?

Most ships today have three to four pools, and most if not all of them have adult only areas that keep kids younger than 16 out. Besides, there is lots more to do on the ship than sit by the pool.

Maybe a compromise would be an all inclusive resort?

Depending on the cruise you don't have to get wet. Alaska cruises are some of the most beautiful around with lots of stops in land ports.
The Italian Riveria is my favorite one having done it 11 times now. Lots to get off the ship and do on land. There are other activities on the ship besides the pool.
It comes down to what you like to do more than what you don't like.
