This guy seems to have a different build from most of the lard-asses.
Modern Sumo's incorporate weight training in their programs, unlike days of old.
This guy has some freak strength, picks up the fatties w/ ease.
Trimmer and a better build than most of GetBig too! :o
"Bay no likey" Im guessing, no ripped glutes...

That fighter can lift opponents of the ground so they can not push him.
The guy at 2:10 in this video looks pretty in shape too:
The Sumo Soup looks very good:

Admittedly, those are not the builds I expected! Nice to see that these guys looks healthier. Although whether that translates directly to being healthier, I'm not sure. Maybe they load up on the PEDs. I don't follow Sumo Wrestling. I only know about Taylor Wily, because he was in the first UFC.

probably boils or infected spots

This guy's ass has been the topic of discussion on sumo forums for a longtime. He's blaming it on a viral skin infection that he hasn't been able to let heal because of regular contests and Olympic training / promotion. Other sumos are backing him up saying that they are constantly getting infections from the ring sand, and skin on skin contact.
That's the official line anyway.

Why are his calves all fucked-up-looking ???

Why are his calves all fucked-up-looking ???
I'm guessing cellulitis problems, plus fluid build up from a knee injury. In the last year he's had shoulder injuries, a wrenched knee, various bouts of cellulitis, and infected toes. He's kind of broken down, but he's a huge draw for sumo.

Looks like Varicose Veins
-
His build/leanness vary quite a bit. Suspect.
When on cycle he looks like E. Honda.

Chiyonofuji... I remember watching him on TV as a kid. Smaller and more muscular than all the others, but guy was a tank.

No regular testing in sumo.

Ha :). No, I just use the various internet translation services, and if I run into trouble not understanding the nuances of certain things, I have a few Japanese friends I bother.
