Title: You’re not allowed to dislike those who have more money
Post by: BBSSchlemiel on December 31, 2019, 03:57:44 AM
Spinoff of Feroce cringe thread and whole other topic. I see it as common on Getbig and in daily life: if you express your dislike of someone or something he does, you are immediately reminded of how this person has more money than you.

Why must one unconditionally genuflects to those with more money?

Yeah, the cringeworthy people like Feroce, he's not liked here because of the embarrassing act. (Who cares what he makes).
Multiple business do not yet equal a lot of money. Bank owns them. Good on him for trying though.

Unfortunately, with modern day, to get attention and hits (and business) most have to act like a douche to get the attention of the 90% douche fitness community.
(10% non-douche fitness people who watch vids and iGram, might be a conservative number).

Jay is boring to watch, but he is already successful, and wouldn't need to stoop that low and act like a yelling, tough-guy maniac.
(Imagine Lee Haney acting like a tool?? No, I cant).

People who defend "Hows your life doing, he makes more than you". Well how do you know that? And if so, who cares?
(The nut-hugging followers do care I suppose, how dare you 'dis' their fool-acting super-heroes).

Ever read Reddit when nuts like Genova are involved? People actually say Lenny is their hero and they base their life on what he says.
Really foolish and insane world we currently live in, with no hope for  the future. Degenerating quickly...

Never understood the whole thing, there is a rapist lives somewhere in Darras hall was famous for winning the lottery jackpot with a ticket he bought on day release, he has or at least had more money than most will ever see in a lifetime, does that mean we cannot express any disdain for him as he has more wealth than us?

because people are conditioned to equate money with success, thing is most people will never have enough money, its the endless chase.

The more you chase money the harder it is to get, do something you enjoy and money will come without you even trying.

once i stopped worrying about not having enough money the more money came my way

Liberals only tend to be jealous of and demand equality with those they feeeeel are their "betters".

Conservatives tend to go about our lives and loathe that which we find disgusting.  Seth appears to be a size S, moronic lumberjerque and something of a PED addict.

I have never thought much of "supplement manufacturers" (the only supplements that really do anything are PEDs), "gurus" and the like regardless of their supposed income or fame.  I am certain that the Australian lad that portrayed Arnold in the Weider fantasy film a while back is far wealthier than I, has bigger muscles and is taller than Seth but I still think he's an idiot in some ways.  Most of these folk will have the human equivalent of a fly's lifespan due to their drug regimen.

But hey...They make more money than me so in the eyes of a great many people that means they are worthy of admiration.

It's becoming like a bad version of "Idiocracy" or perhaps we should call it "Shittocracy"?

And it's not that I am better (well...I am,  ;D ;) ;D ), I just do not wish to become worser. ;D

Feroce could be worth $3 Billion, and it still would not matter... he is trying to act like Branch Warren.

That proves that he is a lost soul.

Great post.

And it ties into this silly cult of personality that is so pervasive these days. Hence I also made the other thread pertaining to the surrogate dads of the masses, people like Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, Jocko Willink, The Rock etc.

I grew up in a poor city and next door was an apartment building with poor Hispanic people. No one had air conditioning. Every weekend during the summer I would hear music, loud conversations with plenty of laughter. They had nothing but they were happy for the most part. Money can't buy true love, happiness, loyalty, fidelity, honor, friendship, integrity, compassion, empathy and a whole list of the important things of life. It sure comes in handy though.  I am just a middle class and I am grateful for all I got. I live in the house of my dreams and I never thought I would own when I was young. In the end if you have food, heat and a roof over your head you are doing better than most in the world.

Truer words have never been written. Money has never been my idol. It is good to be comfortable.
