None of my democrat relatives had one political word to say in a week full of holiday meetups.
Not one peep from anyone about impeachment or Trump personally. Nothing about the stock market or the economy. Nothing about foreign policy.
While I think some are just plain worn out by the media attacking our senses with fake headlines...this does not bode well for dems in 2020.

Very slight political discussion brought up last night, it was about how many people support Trump but won't/don't admit it openly.

Family, loved ones and close friends don't want to get into some heated , insult filled hate fest over Christmas dinner.
Last night was New Years Eve. I have yet to have a heated, insult filled hate fest political discussion in real life. Amazingly most people I talk to support Trump, or at the very least are choosing Trump over the democrats because of what they have seen them doing for the last 3 years.

None of the people I talk to outside Getbig support Trump and several of my friends are Republicans. Go figure.

Sounds like you have a very small circle. I know a lot of people who love him and a lot of people who hate him.

As a rule, with family members at the dinner table or even at some gatherings, we do not discuss politics. Lots of Democrats, lots of Republicans, but during these family events, we discuss life, family, good things, but try to debate just to rile someone else up, which is very easy to do

Yup. Or hoping Bloomberg gets some traction. Biden Bernie and warren are frigging commies. Buttplug is going nowhere because homophobic democrats in major cities won’t vote for a gay white guy.

That's the thing, the past couple of years I've heard Trump was a Russian spy, way worse than Obama, etc.
It's taken a while but finally some are finally getting that the news has been lying to them.

I have family who are far left and others who are moderate...not aware of any who are far right. The ones who are far left decided that they no longer want to speak ever again to the ones who are moderate. Why? The moderate ones keep to themselves and won't bring up politics. The far left ones only want to talk politics and believe anyone who disagrees with them and won't convert to their side are all evil and should not be associated with.
