I was in China once. After eating a meal at a restaurant, I looked out the window. They were washing the dirty dishes on the ground, so they just placed the dishes on the dirt and grass on the ground  :-\

In SanFran  China town I lost appetite for Chinese food  :P

In Thailand/Japan , you can watch preparation of your meal (& they loved) !.
