Trump’s Home Alone 2 cameo removed from Canada TV days after he calls appearance ‘an honour’

Channel denies removing US president for political reasons

Days after Donald Trump described appearing in the Home Alone franchise as an “honour”, a Canadian TV station removed the president’s cameo from a Christmas broadcast.

Trump appears in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York but, according to viewers, the brief moment was completely edited out of CBC’s showing on the film.

A spokesperson for the channel has since denied removing the US president for political reasons.

“As is often the case with features adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited to allow for commercial time within the format,” a representative said.

Supposedly, the scene was edited out in 2015, but I don't trust the source of that tidbit: CBC.

This news outlet is such a massive waste of taxpayer dollars.  They are straight up conscious liars, and have stopped allowing their own LIBERAL audience to comment on articles about Indigenous people - something which started in the Spring of 2016.

I think they just want to remove any positive association with Trump - as Home Alone 2 would definitely be an example of.

We just reelected a drama teacher to be our top leader.  :-X

CBC apparently claimed this was done years prior to save time..I don't believe that for a second.

Well, i remember seeing Home Alone 2 briefly in 2016 here in Swe on TV and Trump was still in it.

Maybe Swedish Telly was showing an older version before the edit :D :D
