I'm looking to buy my own bar for personal workouts in the gym because of the state that the current ones are in which is bent to the point that if your form is bad during a press or dead lift the bar can roll which is really frightening. I was looking at the Texas Power bar or one by Fat Bastard any other suggestions?

check out ironmind.com

yeah, Ironmind sells a great York powerlifting bar for like 350 bucks, they even sell Eleiko bars which are probably about 1000 bucks.

For a power bar, I'd go with the Texas or York. The York has a better finish, but the knurling is nicer(more aggessive) on the Texas.
For a weightlifting(i.e.-no center knurling, springyness) bar, I'd go Eleiko.

Best powerlifting barbell is Leoko. Finnish brand. Don't know if it's available in the USA. Check with Westside barbell, they may have some ways to get a hold of them.

Leoko is imported by www.atomicathletic.com. It's top of the line, but sadly, we don't see it much in the States.

Crains muscle world has a few good ones.
