1,321 people died as a result of seasonal influenza.... TODAY
So far this year 103 834 deaths from flu.... That's 103 834 dead so far THIS YEAR, ....
Coronavirus 8246 dead since late November, has the world gone insane? Even with exponential growth (which has not happened continually anywhere.. didn't in China, South Korea and hasnt even continued in Italy!) it fails to come close.
We are in the midst of a great crazy moment, international fear and hysteria... Out of control. The cost in mental health alone from this will greatly outstrip any disease effects in the end.

Agreed and i spoke on this already its a new virus and it spreads very fast so everyone panics, but closing businesses is not the answer.I can understand large gatherings but dint mess with peoples livelihood.

ALBANY — Coronavirus has claimed its first life in New York.
A woman with underlying respiratory issues died in Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, Gov. Cuomo announced this morning.
“We had last night a death in a New York City hospital of an 82-year-old woman who had coronavirus. She came into the hospital on March 3,” he said. “She contracted the coronavirus on top of emphysema, then she passed.”

82 years old

82 years old
Considering that she probably had been smoking since she was a teenager, 82 is a pretty damn good number.
Moreover, how much socializing could an 82-year-old with emphysema do? Makes you wonder how she got it in the first place.

and its increasing day by day,
thats right... Whats your point? Respiratory viruses kill a small percentage of those affected, this is normal and happens every minute of every day, which is why I post the flu stats.
You are scared due to the hysteria, even if the deaths outstrip the flu it doesn't change anything.
The point is we have a flu like virus that is moving through the population. It is fatal in some elderly patients with preexisting health conditions.... This is a normal state, hysteria has been caused by the media and government response and is way overblown.
Even the mortality rate has been grossly over exaggerated, were looking at less than 1% as places enact more widespread testing, when all is said and done, less than 0.5% is likely.

Think about how many kids die from the flu also. None from Corona. A kid a day is dying in the US from the flu. We should shutdown all schools and businesses forever so as to not have another parent bury another child.
-
The point is that if the trend continues the coronavirus deaths per day will totally eclipse the flu deaths if the virus is allowed to run rampant. And all the infected who develop into a serious/critical condition will need to go to hospital to use ventilators etc to survive, will overload the hospitals causing further deaths to people who have other conditions and can't be treated because lack of beds and doctors.
They are overreacting to try and keep the load on the hospital system down to keep the death rate down. Governments have experts on these matters to advise them.
Then generally we agree. ^ some action should be taken, but what is happening should be put into context, something the media is not even attempting to do.
This is not an unusual state we find ourselves in, other than it is a new virus from a very familiar family of viruses.
Your last comment is naive, people in gov and their advisors are understandably very worried about this, to the point that no one can be seen to under act, so what happens? everyone overacts so they don't drop the ball... This isn't necessarily a good thing, especially economically speaking.

You guys don't seem to get it? Let me explain: You add those 103834 deaths by common flu with those who are dying by this covid-19, which has just about started, so you get fking ridiculous amount of deaths. Problem is that we have vaccines and medicines, instructions for action and treatment for common flu, but for covid -19 we don't have a shit. It kills +3,6 % of patients, while common flu kills 0.2% , so it is by far more deadly virus..
And after you wrote that, there has been 869 deaths more, number is now 9115, and tomorrow even larger. People are still dying by common flu AND by this virus, up to the point they find a vaccine and get it in use all over the world. This will take time from months to years, so this hysteria will be among us quite some time..

Mortality rate is 0.1% in Germany where more people are tested than just the very sick and elderly. Likely lower than 0.1%. The virus is at its peak in China, Iran and Italy and is killing nowhere near the amounts of common flu, or the H1N1 pandemic of 2009, for which there was no panic whatsoever.
It's amazing the ability of "journalists" to manufacture an economic crisis in the run in to a presidential election and Brexit. What a coincidence. Do you remember journalists getting caught faking pictures of empty shelves? Wake up.

China will overtake the US as the worlds biggest economy in the next ten years. Perhaps , the US desperately wants move its manufacturing and supply chains from China to other countries. And crashing and resetting the world economy gives its companies the opportunity of a clean break and time to do that.
Also, medical life extension treatments are coming online in the next few decades that initially might be available only for the elite. Maybe they also want to shift the public psychology , perception and attitudes to old age. People living in the 80's and 90's will no longer seen as living out their final years.
-
The question ultimately is do you trust gov authorities. How do we really know what the death rate is? Or the infection rate? Governments first job is to retain control. A panicking population puts that at risk. Governments also have to deal with adversarial governments that would love a chance to take advantage on the international stage. So authorities can't look weak or communicate uncomfortable truths.
Combine that with general human incompetence, record debt levels, politically divided populations and here...we...go...

Mortality rate by facts, by existing cases is different thing than estimated mortality rate. By the figures up to these days, mortality rate is more like 3-6% than 0.1. Exact numbers we get after this circus is over, because situation is changing day after day..

doesn't look like measures are helping anyway , so people will die and the world economy will be wrecked too , could be part of the ' regular ' flu in the future . . .

817 people died as a result of coronavirus.... TODAY
and its increasing day by day,
Every new virus grows exponentially at its onset, followed by a plateau and then a decline. This was proven in the 1854 Cholera outbreak in England. Don't be a retard.

I started a thread about this, unfortunately one of the mods merged it with another thread, so now no one will see it. I'll repost here:
I believe the covid-19 precautions are being massively overhyped, but I also think the "it's just the flu" brigade is inaccurate as well. I haven't seen a succinct description as to why it shouldn't be treated like the flu (even though it's possibly here, there's a lot of threads. I had to get in on the action.)
1)One of the biggest differences between the flu and covid-19 is the suspected incubation period. The flu incubates for approx 3 days. Covid-19 can incubate for up to 14 days which theoretically means there's an exponentially greater chance to spread the virus to more people. Even h1n1 only had an average incubation period of 4 days (7 on the high end.)
2)Covid-19 was just introduced to humans, so we don't have any natural or assisted immunity. covid and flu are constantly compared, but flu death and hospitalization numbers are pretty bad and would be worse if it weren't for flu vaccines and some people's acquired immunity. The immunity doesn't just keep people from getting sick it also decreases transmission.
No immunity + long incubation period= possible recipe for disaster.
3)This virus could easily mutateCovid-19 appears to disproportionately affect older people. For some people that's a reason to take it less seriously. If that's where you're coming from, then you have to be aware that this virus could easily mutate. H1N1 mutates every flu season and several of the derivative strains are more aggressive and more easily transmitted than the original version. There are reportedly already 2 strains of covid19 (though neither is believed to be a mutation), and it is not unheard of for a viral strain to mutate several times over the course of one season.
I do think a lot of what's going on is over the top, but the real worry of covid-19 is a specific combination of things that could potentially be really bad. It all sounds manageable and maybe even minor on an individual level, but combined, it COULD be castastrophic.

It has gone castastrophic. But it had nothing to do with actual infection. And this lockdown has overwhelmed hospitals and medical staff, which it was designed not to do.

Ropo there are approximately 60 million baby boomers in the US. What precautions have we taken to prepare for their inevitable demise (pre Coronavirus)?
Within the next 40 years it’s safe to assume nearly all of these boomers will DEAD! The numbers will eventually be a 100% death rate. 20% of the current population gone in a generation....
How many baby boomers will have to die before Generation X realizes they are next?

No, right now we are in a state of inconvenience. Some hospitals are strained, but they are managing. Death toll is reasonable, infection rate is easily trackable.

The Snowflake Generation is waiting for the Great Convergence so that they can be joined with a Commodore 64 and live forever. 'n' sheit.

No I was talking about the economy.
-
No I was talking about the economy.
I got that you were making references to the economy, but you also specifically said that medical resources are being strained (which I don't think is accurate) and that the goal was to prevent that from happening (which I think is debatable.)
The economy is taking a hit, but I wouldn't call it catastrophic, not in comparison to what looked to be happening. I don't know how to embed a tweet here, but this is a link to video that shows how fox news covered covid on march 9 and march 13th. The went from describing it as a flu that the left was politicizing to a brewing health and economic crisis.
https://twitter.com/thefix/status/1240041548672380931?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1240041548672380931&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fdigg.com%2F2020%2Ffox-news-coronavirus-coverage
So, the 9th is after the first big interest rate reduction from the fed and the 13th is before it was slashed to 0, so those don't entirely explain the change in tone. So what else was going on during this period? Apparently there was a huge bond sell off over this period. US Bonds are considered the safest, most stable asset in the world and aren't usually affected like that by market downturns. I think that's what was behind fox and trump's about face and why things suddenly ramped up in that period.

As for before that? I think it comes down to a few basic things. People love to get invested in "mystery viruses". Just search the history on this site. There were multiple ebola threads that went on for 10, 20 pages. I don't think the interest is something that media has to drive.
IMO, the thing that really turned this whole thing nuclear is the fact that China tried to keep it secret. That managed to do two things. First, is that it made people way more curious and way more hysterical (and a lot of people would have been that way anyway). But much more importantly, it massively obscured data on a virus we knew virtually nothing about. All these weeks later, it's fine to say it only affects old people barely clinging to life, but the death that blew this story wide open was the 34 year old doctor who was trying to get information about this virus out to the world.

It is fine to say, really.."These preliminary data also demonstrate that severe illness leading to hospitalization, including ICU admission and death, can occur in adults of any age with COVID-19."-- CDC https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6912e2.htm?s_cid=mm6912e2_w (https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6912e2.htm?s_cid=mm6912e2_w)..
And what happen since my last comment? Now there is 14250 covid -19 cases in US, between 3.30 PM and this moment they have found 3495 cases more. It is something like 32.5% increase in few hours. By this speed you have +30 000 patients at next monday..

From the CDC
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2018-2019.html
Conclusion
CDC estimates that influenza was associated with more than 35.5 million illnesses, more than 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018–2019 influenza season. This burden was similar to estimated burden during the 2012–2013 influenza season1.
Now the deaths range on the high end was over 50k.

international fear and hysteria
Fear and Hyteria are toilet paper bandits.
International Lockdown is for a lab escapee on UN most wanted list.
Don't confuse the 2.
Influ's origin dates back to 16th Italy. Nature has its' check and balances for the flu, has had them since 16th century.
I don't remember reading in Virology and Pathogen Bio about the Biochem and Virol labs back than but I could be wrong.
-
most people with the virus do not need to go to hospital
So true, but plenty of them need it. It is like lottery, do you want to take this lottery ticket, or do you obey orders, wash your hands etc.?
You see, there is a clear trajectory in the spreading of this covid 19. It takes about nine weeks to get to top of the arch, and after that things start to get better. You are now at the week 4, so if your covid 19 cases increase 33% per day as it has been, in next five weeks there will be 2/3 of the population contamined by this virus. That's far more than your health care can handle..
So how about that lottery? First prize = Coffin. Second prize = few weeks in IC by your own expense, third prize = weeks in hospital etc. You see, among intelligent people is quite usual to try to find easiest way around difficult things. In this situation, only morons try to hide behind denialism.
-
Mortality rate is 0.1% in Germany where more people are tested than just the very sick and elderly. Likely lower than 0.1%. The virus is at its peak in China, Iran and Italy and is killing nowhere near the amounts of common flu, or the H1N1 pandemic of 2009, for which there was no panic whatsoever.

That’s not really true regarding the mortality rate. People keep calculating the mortality rate dividing the total number of deaths by total number of cases, which isn’t accurate because it includes cases that are still active, and you don’t know how those are going to end yet. To get a more accurate number, you need to only look at the closed cases, meaning people have died, or they have recovered. When you only take those numbers into consideration, the current worldwide mortality rate is 10%.

most are going get the virus anyway , they will have to stay at home and hope for the best , most don't need to go to hospital , if they are relatively healthy

That's not accurate at all^
it doesn't account for the time it takes for the disease to run its course (weeks) vs critical patients that are passing quickly rip...
Look at Korea and China where patients have had time to recover.... China is at about 3% South Korea at 0.5% both of these are maximum death rates, the actual rate will always be lower as deaths are almost always reported whereas many thousands of mild or asymptomatic cases go unreported.
It will end up well under 1%.

Yes I agree that the mortality rate will drop the longer this goes on, but I don’t think it will settle below 1%. I’m not sure where you are getting 0.5% for South Korea? The closed case mortality rate for South Korea is about the same as China right now @ 4%. I figure when all is said and done it will fall somewhere between 2-4% worldwide.

i just explained why close case is highly inaccurate and now your quoting close case figures again?
South Korea 8652 cases with 94 deaths

The fatality rate will be much lower as testing increases. Your guessing about where the numbers are now. Your way off.

817 people died as a result of coronavirus.... TODAY
and its increasing day by day,
Flu still has it beat by a landslide plus flu kills lots of young people and it has well known intermediate species to jump and mutate year after year.

Coincidence or not.... timing of this whole this is pretty odd

Nothing coincidental at all. These tabletop exercises are held regularly in the USA. Local, State, and Federal levels. Probably hundreds if not thousands of these exercises occur annually.

It is odd that exercise was based on a Coronavirus that was exclusive to bats.

20,000 plus died from the ordinary flu this year's flu season in the US. 50,000 last year died from pneumonia last year in the US. We have 205 dead in the US from Corona upper respiratory illness. China claims it went down drastically. I don't trust them but South Korea says the same and I do trust them.
Right now we have a medicine (Malaria drug) that stops the virus from multiplying in the body. Making people well a lot quicker. We are in clinical trails on the vaccine. A micro biologist from Israel said that the Corona virus is closely related to SARS. SARS came on strong but dissipated quick. Hopefully it will follow the same pattern.
Right now we are heading toward double digit unemployment. The stock market is crashing meaning the eventual massive job loss. GDP will crash. The fear and hysteria that is complicit news provider driven is causing economic chaos. Democrats are politicizing this for political advantage. Trump truly has done absolutely unrepresented action against the disease. A massive amount of money is being thrown at this and flights from China/Europe are cancelled.
Once restaurants, stores, gyms and businesses of all kinds are given the green light to open this economy will come roaring back. People need to lose the fear. In the end even if 40,000 in the end die in the US we have to keep it into perspective. I'm keeping my money in the stock market. I don't' care if it goes down to 12,000. When it comes back there will be plenty of money to go around for those that don't panic.
-

No it is not. Bats carry over 400 different strains of Corona viruses. Bats were responsible for SARS, MERS, SADS, etc. Bats are one of the biggest transmitters of Corona viruses, to humans and other animals. Therefore, scientists study bats and viral transmissions regularly.
Hope this helps.

The biggest issue overall, is social media. Too many snowflakes posting and reposting bullshit, that they've seen on facebook. So much false information being put out, and everyone believes it, because they "read it on the internet".

OT the problem is for small businesses. Companies like Walmart and Amazon are thriving because they are allowed to stay operational.
I know most GetBiggers do exceptionally well, but there are many off this site who don’t, who live paycheck to paycheck. The government can provide relief to these small companies but when hours are cut, and they have been, what do those people do?
The officials promise no evictions but what happens to the landlord who is dependent upon that income? Hopefully it’s no big deal and we come back but that is as speculative as is the deadliness of this virus.
People can’t control them selves buying groceries or toiletries, there is no way they will exercise restraint with their money when the whole system is shut down.

Agreed. Won't stop the Asians from eating them though, lol
I have been to the open air markets in China (Beijing, Leshan, Shanghai). The crap they eat, often barely cooked, would make you sick just looking at it. I went to a high end dinner where I was served "bees nest", bullfrog (barely cooked), duck head (yeah - the whole head), etc. Surprising the Chinese are even alive at all today.

The fear is out of control. Went to BJ's today. It's like a Costco. Toilet paper ran out 9AM. They were allowing only two packs per customer and every single cart had two giant toilet paper packs. The line to the cashiers and self check out was huge and they just opened. People are walking around with masks and gloves.

So true. The problem is the "leaders" who make these decisions are on the public dime and have no worry about getting paid. No surprise the biggest critics of Trump's handling of this are : Academics, government workers, politicians and the Hollywood elites - all essentially immune to losing their jobs or going broke.

Hopefully all business will be open in a week or two. I predict states like California and NY state will keep things closed longer.

The amount who died from Covid19 today in Italy alone is equal to about half the daily worldwide deaths FROM EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD FROM REGULAR FLU TODAY.

I guess there’s nothing odd about it at all. Given the amount of studying we’ve done and the amount of knowledge we have about how easily these viruses are transferred it’s odd we don’t have more pandemic outbreaks that we are completely unprepared for.
Also I thought SARS was bird based that was transferred to pigs and then humans?
-
The seriousness is not how bad or deadly Corona is, it's just a numbers game. Over half a million people die worldwide from seasonal flu. Doesn't mean the average person should be in terror of getting the flu, but with Corona added as basically a new flu, the small percentage that die could be hundreds of thousands or even millions of people dead in the next few years, and that's the hysteria. And it's going to be people's grandparents for the most part, who most people want to keep alive as long as possible, even if your grandparent is an asshole.

Army do you have any info on the victims?
Were they young and relatively healthy?
Is it correct that Italy’s death numbers have surpassed China’s? And Italy is on lockdown.
-
I think what people are not getting is that the only reason countries like China and South Korea have it under control is because of the extreme measures they have taken. They don’t lock down cities for the normal flu. The numbers would be huge if not for this. Stop comparing normal flu numbers to that of the Covid-19. It’s sounds so ignorant. The info is out there. SMH

From what I've read it's the old with comorbidities getting massacred.Doesnt really matter who it is dying, because once whatever age group fills the hospitals, then everyone else can't get treatment for anything else either.

Exactly. It took 3 months for it to reach 100,000 cases, and only 12 days to go from 100,000 to 200,000.

No, I'm not. I'm saying the current economic disaster is based on a bunch of bullshit. Your information is accurate.
So you think that it doesn't mean anything economically, if vast majority of the people stay in their home, not going work, not going shopping, not using petrol, not using services at all? When I go to mall here in Finland, I see 3 people, other than staff. These places live only if there is thousands of people every day of the week, buying stuff. There will be lot of businesses going bankrupt at the moment, even more in the future, and there is no way to stop that. Just look at the empty gyms; they have to pay their rents no matter if they have customers or not. Where they take that money?
In meantime virus is still gaining speed for next weeks, until situation start to ease. Yesterday, 01:52:05 AM there were 14250 covid 19 cases, 32.5% more than night before. How about today? Since that, there has been 37,8% more cases, now there is 19 624 cases. Almost 40% more in hours? How about tomorrow? 27 000 cases? ;D

All the self-appointed, so called experts are coming out of the woodwork over CVID-19.

Coronavirus vs Flu
Established statistics with an enormous sample built over many decades, vs stats from three months with a small sample and huge numbers of uncontrolled viables eg testing rates, eg different locations, eg hospitalisation rates, where mild patients are being hospitalised all over to contain spread...
Incubation time 1-14 days? That's just the minimum to the maximum, (a total guess to play it safe) and is totally inaccurate?
You think your clever but you post dumb shit like this that's totally inaccurate.
From what we have seen I think covid 19 is comparatively worse than the flu, in terms of severity, but these statistics most definitively overstate that fact and are inaccurate so I wouldn't cite them.
-
you're ;D ;D
I don't think the flu stats are accurate. I've never had the flu in my life, and I've never met anyone who has been officially diagnosed with the flu by a doctor. The flu is a big hoax to scare people into yearly vaccinations.

I cannot take articles like this seriously. The author is a college kid, who writes sensationalized stories. The story you posted starts with her stating:
"I spoke to a respiratory therapist there, whose job is to ensure that patients are breathing well. He works in a medium-sized city hospital’s intensive care unit. (We are withholding his name and employer, as he fears retaliation."
So basically, she could be making shit up, or she might have spoken to a 21 year medical tech, whose job is to check vital signs. Regardless, news stories like this one cannot be taken seriously. There are zero statistics or facts noted. Here is the author:

LOL
Women are fucking useless in a crisis.
I’m not gonna lie. I bought into this bullshit for the first few days, washing my hands 20 fucking times. Then I started thinking about it and realized it’s not about the virus at all. It’s all economics.
A giant credit bubble was about to pop and the virus has provided a convenient pretext for governments to print huge amounts of money. That’s it in a nutshell.
-
If you are thinking of this in terms of the virus, you’re barking up the wrong tree.
Make no mistake about it. This is what it’s really about.

A new surge of bond purchases is intended to counteract “serious risks” to the eurozone economy as investors start to doubt Italy’s creditworthiness.
“Extraordinary times require extraordinary action,” Christine Lagarde, the president of the European Central Bank, said on Twitter early Thursday. “There are no limits to our commitment to the euro.”

Add me to your list because I've never had the flu or the flu vaccine. Unlike you, I do know people who say they've had the flu. On the other hand, I've had more than enough colds throughout my entire life until the last couple of years when I started getting a pneumonia shot each year.
Both the flu and COVID-19 are viruses. From what I've recently read the coronaviruses are basically another name for colds, since they all produce respiratory symptoms. coronaviruses can cause bacterial respiratory infections which is basically what pneumonia is.
The last couple of days, I've had a mild headache which comes and goes and more recently, a mild stomachache. The headache could just be boredom and the stomachache is likely something I ate which did not agree with me. However, right now with the COVID-19 pandemic, every little irregular symptom on has is suspect. I hate worrying about something I can't do anything to avoid aside from social distancing and constantly washing my hands. Surely not everyone with COVID-19 had dirty hands and made a habit of hugging people.

"Flu is a hoax to scare people into yearly vaccinations"...then what? How this moronic plan goes on? They invent this to sell vaccinations, which by the way are free in the most of the western world. If they need money, why don't they rise your taxes by 0.01% and earn billions by doing it? So what is the plan behind this vaccine- hoax? Please explain?
You have never had a flu, so flu must be hoax? Or you are just too simple to understand, that you have a flu. So how about breast cancer? Have you have it? If no, it must also be a hoax by your logic? Or are you using one one of the stupidest arguments of all time "I don't know shit about it so it can't be real.." ;D

A more realistic scenario is that corona is a problem that has been greatly exaggerated in order to provide cover for the popping of a credit bubble and the subsequent currency devaluation via money printing. You have to be pretty naïve to not smell a rat and think this whole deal is about a few old dead Chinks and Wops. There had to be something else.
Look for the hysteria to die down soon now that the public has been conditioned:

The Trump administration has taken some heat for what many consider a delayed response to the coronavirus pandemic that's now sweeping through the country. But, The Washington Post reports, there were apparently numerous government officials who tried to warn the president about the repercussions as early as January.
U.S. officials familiar with spy agency reporting told the Post the intelligence community issued warnings that China, where the new virus originated, was minimizing its own outbreak earlier in the year and that the U.S. could be facing a crisis. "Donald Trump may not have been expecting this, but a lot of other people in the government were — they just couldn't get him to do anything about it," one official said. "The system was blinking red."
Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar reportedly couldn't get Trump to speak with him about the virus until mid-January, two weeks after officials were alerted about its spread in China. Even then, Trump was reportedly more interested in when flavored vaping products were going to return to the market.
In late January, Joe Grogan, the head of the White House Domestic Policy Council, argued the virus could cost Trump re-election, while Deputy National Security Adviser Matthew Pottinger began calling for a more forceful response in early February. But despite all that, Trump maintained his belief the threat would dissipate before it became serious in the U.S. Read more at The Washington Post.

Yes, but they are also our largest debt holder.
Why would they want the U.S. paying off debt with a hyper inflated currency ?
It’s not hyperinflated. It’s worth the same thing in relation to their currency. They’re all inflating together. Those trillions the Chinese are going to unleash is coming from money printing.
BEIJING (Reuters) - China is set to unleash trillions of yuan of fiscal stimulus to revive an economy expected to shrink for the first time in four decades amid the coronavirus pandemic, while a planned growth target is likely to be cut, according to four policy sources.

Unfortunately, there is no redo. If U.S. didn't heed and respond to the forecast of this pandemic, that's a shame. But the U.S. and Trump aren't alone. It's safe to say no country was prepared for a pandemic of this scale. Surely, the U.S. wasn't the only country with advanced warning.
My only complaint about how Trump is handling this is that rather than honesty, he continues to fabricate circumstances which aren't true, such as having meds/vaccines that will cure the virus and others that will protect folks from getting it in the very near future when the medical community says differently and they are the people responsible for finding or creating them.
Trump's questionable responses should surprise no one because we'd seen this behavior from him for the last four years.

27 000 cases? ;D
So it is already 24148 covid 19 cases, and US has hop on to the 4th place in the statistics. In next few days it will be reality that you overtake china in this statistics, so tell me honestly: how do it feel? Would it be right time to learn how to wash those hands, perhaps? No joking what so ever, just shut the fuck up and obey orders, and some of you will survive? Since Saturday 05:03:39 PM there has been + 23% increase of the cases, you have leave Iran, Germany and France behind, meaning that they all handle the situation better than you guys do? ;D

I'm starting to believe that the coronavirus was just a hoax
While you try to think what would be the benefit of this kind of hoax, here is some numbers to you: US has 3rd place in the statistics of the most covid 19 infected country by 26747 patients. Since yesterday 11:11:19 PM rise has been equally fast as always, +36,2%. When you guys pick up the speed, that's something to see, but by some reason most of the countries put all of the efforts to slow this pandemic down? You choose opposite tactics? You decide to send the message to the world: Our health care is out of date?

You’re looking at the economic effect of the virus from a perspective of “today” when China is looking at the the problem from the realization that if President Donald Trump spends 4 more years in office their economy will practically collapse. The Chinese government may be trying to harm the US economy and save their’s by trying to keep Trump from being re-elected.

$1000 checks aren't going to do crap in the short or long term for anyone other than those already living off the govn't dime though
The financial markets are still very active.
To get away with it you probably need to crash everything because at that point you cant really be punished if everything is frozen.
As it's global, they all print together and control currency valuation.
