I'm a 47 yr old male. I have heard some things better than others for beginners and older men. I respect what you all are doing and your acheivements but this is not and will not be my life. I don't want heavy doses but would like to offset what I can of the aging cycle. Any advice would be very much appreciated. I should also mention I have some degenerative arthritis from some injuries, if that matters as to what gets recommended.

stick with 25mg right before bed and you'll be fine (I've heard of guys having "night sweats" with higher doses, which is probably the result of a hormonal imbalance created by the supplement). Do an "off cycle" every fourth week to retain effectiveness and as a safety precaution.

Latest research shows that a higher does works allot better than the old way of thinking. I use 200 mg with 10mg DHB for better absoription. I've been on it for a month and the difference is very noticeable. I'll post when I figure out how. In the meantime check out www.nutritionaledge.org The after pic is from using the dhea for a month. Click the inspiration page and the after pic is what I looked like when I started. I think the higher does works. 1 First thing in the morning.

You may also want to include glucosamine and MSM (1500/200-500). I'm not going to suggest chondroitin since there has been a potential link to prostate cancer. Could take up to 2 months (probably only a month) before you notice anything, but it should eliviate some of the pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. Of course, fish oil is always in my list of recommended supplements, which BTW is also shown to help arthritis. ;)
