Elderly people are the most at-risk of developing severe coronavirus, but experts warn young, healthy people are still dying from the respiratory infection.
Globally, more than 200,000 people in around 170 countries have been infected with COVID-19 since the outbreak began in China in December. Most of the 8,000 fatalities recorded across the world have been people who are elderly or suffer underlying conditions, and have weakened immune systems. But Bruce Aylward, who assessed the pandemic in China, said there are an alarming number of young people who have developed complications from the disease.
Dr Aylward, of the World Health Organization, has already warned people as young as 30 were dying from the life-threatening virus. Meanwhile, an emergency doctor in Belgium has revealed the shocking lung scans of 'young, healthy people', which he described as 'nothing short of terrifying'. Chinese health officials carried out the biggest ever study on the never-before-seen strain of the virus, using data from 72,000 cases. They found 19 per cent of patients who died were below the age of 60 years.

They are intentionally releasing these types of stories to try get the young to comply to social distancing guidelines etc. Not saying it's wrong, but it is what it is.
After the elderly it's the obese with comorbidities that have the most to worry about and that includes skinny fats with big guts. Just something to bare in mind in case we get another, maybe bigger wave of corona next winter. Stay safe

Think again , no ones thinking they are all just following the media like sheep, and pulling one or two poor souls and using them as an example is just the media sensationalism again, a few unlucky young people get cancer as well. No ones sayings its not bad or just the flu, its worse and lots of old people will die, statistically 15% of them over 80 that will get it, pretty sure 35% or more of the same people born in the same year as them say 1940 are already dead. Just stating facts. To be 70 or 80 is good innings, forgive me but i dont think we should destroy so many young lives to save so many that are already so old.

Young people die of heart attacks as well.

They think 59 is young?

More bodybuilders will die by dropping a weight on their head or across their neck benching at home during the quarantine than will die of the Coronavirus.

if you have a pre-existing medical condition, you really want to lock yourself in a closet. people with hiv have underlying conditions which spurt up when they are hit with a 2nd viral load along with the maintained current load. those males are making up a % of the young who are on ventilators. then there are the usual suspects, heart disease, asthma, pulmonary issues, etc.

Not really. They don’t want these young people getting it and taking it home to their parents and grandparents.

An 18-year-old has died in the UK — one day after testing positive for COVID-19, according to officials.
The unidentified teen died in University Hospital in Coventry and is believed to be the youngest of 281 fatalities linked to the pandemic in the UK, officials confirmed to the Telegraph on Sunday.
The 18-year-old had “significant underlying health issues” when confirmed to have COVID-19, the hospital’s chief medical officer, professor Kiran Patel, told CoventryLive.
Watch yourselves.

Many of them are supporting their parents and grandparents and they don't want them to have a job to do that either.

We had several younger die here in Sweden
And several Somalis as well, since they don't care to learn Swedish (and often live 8-10 together in the same flat), so they didn't know much about it.

I’m thinking of just ending it all. I should’ve died in Fallujah.

As far as I can see, the only youngsters one should be seriously concerned about are those who are breathing on a ventilator, suffering from chronic illnesses like cystic fibrosis(which affects the lungs) or heart disease or from severe disabilities, such as muscular dystrophy or cerebral palsy and are unable to look after themselves.
I will take your advice and watch myself and go out of my way to try and avoid these vulnerable unfortunate kids, for the next few months.

You're joking, right?

As this unfolds, the more you can see it’s the exact same playbook as the AIDS scare in the 1980s. A virus affects a very small subset of the population, with aids it was homosexuals, specifically those who took 20 cocks a night in gay bath houses, with corona, it’s extremely old people, specifically those who already had pre-existing health conditions. The threat is that virus will explode into the population as a whole. The end result, is an economic reset and a worldwide currency devaluation. If you remember, there was a stock market crash in 1987 at the height of the AIDS scare. The first Global AIDS day was 1988.
Both had their epicenters in New York and California. Both occurred the year before a presidential election.

Yeah no shit... So they "scare" them by saying that they are in danger themselves.
Hence a "scare tactic"....got some sharp ones out today ::)

It's the unfortunate truth, these are the same demographics that have difficulty with any infection not just the "coronavirus"....

Social distancing sucks, no more family reunions for the rest of the year :(

Somalis in Sweden, tragic. I prefer seeing them attempt to overtake cargo ships and get blown up.
