As many as 240,000 people in the U.S. could die from COVID-19 — and that's with strict social distancing measures in place, one of the government’s top doctors warned Tuesday.
Without intervention, between 1.5 and 2.2 million could die, warned Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator.
The disease has already killed more than 3,860 and infected nearly 187,000 in the United States, according to NBC News’ tally.
In politics, former Vice President and current Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden suggested Tuesday that there may not be a physical Democratic National Convention this year because of the pandemic.

I don’t really have a strong opinion about the man-made argument, but I do believe that the one of the reasons for the dire predictions is to funnel money to the healthcare establishment:
Remember, AIDS was a death sentence back then and the two hundred thousand means that’s how many would die. The point of it back then was to get all types of funding for research and foundations. Same thing is going to happen with corona.

If I was a betting man, I could see it falling somewhere in the high double digits or Fauci's low end, I can't see 240,000 though.

Might be due to constant inflammation from bad diet and being fat. Obesity is known to impair the immune system. So are too many omega 6 and carbs in the diet. To top it off, a western diet is rich in high carb, high fat meals which also wreak havoc in the long term when a person is in a caloric surplus.

That was "Worst case" scenario. A few million infected and 200,000+ deaths. Which, from what we know from developed non-communist nations, isn't going to happen. Dr "AIDS will kill all hetero sexuals!" Fauci admitted, later in the interview, that this was the worst case projections and those never pan out.
Of course this little fear mongering clown loved to drop the apocalypse numbers, loves to drive fear and drive policy. He and the CDC did a great job with the HIV epidemic in the 80's....billion infected, no need to close bathhouses or focus on the homo-population...they certainly aren't at risk! LOL

Point is that you don't need to believe what they tell you, just sit and watch what will happen. It take just few weeks and you see it yourself if it is true or not. In the meantime do not obey any orders, don't stay home, hang out among strangers and see what happen.. ;D

the seasonal death rates are the same if not less this year than previous years, what does that tell you?

115 deaths in the 0-4 years age group

Wonder how these figures are calculated. Must be the absolutely "worst case scenario" and the only way this ever happen would be if every American started hugging and kissing completely random strangers everyday for a few months.
After all, in one of the worst single Coronavirus incidents, less than 20% (712 cases) of the total passengers and crew(3.711) in the Diamond Princess cruise ship got infected.
The confines of a ship would ,one might assume. would be one of the more congenial places for the spread of the virus:
a bunch of people crammed together in close proximity to each other,
multiple people not washing their hands and touching the same surfaces, door handles and handrails,
and air vents and air conditioning units, transporting airborne droplets , containing the virus, to every corridor, room and cabin.

Nobody bothered to look at my interactive graph direct from CDC website that you can mess with that I've posted twice that shows flu and pneumonia deaths are down this time of year implying that they are now placing those under Cornona. Joswift is essentially making the same point (deaths are not up).

At first, I bought into it like everybody else but when I started to see the responses which were so irrational considering the scope of the problem, I started to smell a rat and eventually I figured out what this is really about, an economic reset and global currency devaluation:
I know how this plays out. To justify these interventions, they’re going to have to artificially bump up the victim numbers to the point where somebody gets hit by a truck and turns out to have a positive corona test is said to have died of corona.

You can't understand that figures of the seasonal flu are estimates, and these what you see killed by covid 19 are counted body by body? Yes, somewhat less people will die from the seasonal flu this year, because of the measures done because of the covid 19, quarantines etc. but still you have to add these body counts together.. So at the end you have xxxxx dying by seasonal flu, and xxxxxx dying by covid 19, and that is a lot, no matter how you count them. You see, flu season is just about gone, and covid 19 is just about started, so this will still last months. Virus has 9 week evolution curve, in US 1st of March 74 patients and 0 deaths, 1st of Aprill 216 515 cases and 5119 deaths. Just a seasonal flu:

Point is that only history will prove if you die or not, you don't know it before it has happen. And if you don't die, there is still plenty of options, for example, lot of people has lost permanently great part of the capacity of their lungs, and that's not nice condition to be. Do you want to change working out with iPhone to working out with oxygen mask and tank? Greatest danger are the fools who try to belittle seriousness of this illness, because they aren't smart enough to protect themselves, and therefore they spread the virus..
