That's pretty much the ideal body. Not to big, not to big small, perfect body fat, proportional and healthy looking.

His character really was the backbone of the miniseries.
It takes a lot of intelligence to be so meticulous about being creepy and playing dumb.
I don't know how he did it but he made creepy really interesting and and kind of snowballed it into the lead role.
And, he did it with little movement, by just waving his hand, showcasing his muscle, a little sweat, a shifting mood, dead eyes and a little snarling in his speech.
He played the perfect bad guy. You just don't get that in today's films. I loved the simplicity of it.
I mean how good do you have to be to be admired for playing the bad guy? Even 40 years after?

I've heard the DVD release was edited.
Pisses me off. >:(
I'd love to see it in all of its original glory.

Bill Smith is a very interesting man.

Indeed he is. In terms of his motion picture career, which spanned nearly 70 years, he was in 275 movies and TV shows. I remember him best for being with Joe Namath in the movie C.C. and Company.
You can catch Mr. Smith today, each weekday at 4 pm ET, in reruns of the 60’s TV western Laredo on the Inspiration Channel.
