  wow, i like that hammer strength like press bench he made with the wooden barbells.years ago you could buy plans to construct your own equipment in some of the mags. i think ironman mag was one that had occasional articles on how to do this.

i remember a kid in high did a weight  bench out of wood for his shop project.. it actually turned out pretty good sturdy and all. it kind of reminded me of the look that dave draper made furniture had,
