Artwork/creation must be + 120 years old to be regarded as antique  ;)

I can see there's some interest in it, quality wise not any worse than today I would imagine it to be better and it's cool with a little history compared to the mass produced ones from China we have today

When I was a small child in 1987, I vividly recall how much I enjoyed the Wacky Packages "Weak Germs" card [reprinted by the Canadian division of Topps Playing Cards - O-Pee-Chee].

And it looks like today I just solved the mystery of what brand of dumbbells were used in the cards!

When I saw that card again online in 2003, I was like "What dumbbells look like that?"  Lol - now I know!

Great post, funk51.  ;D

Supply and demand.  I bought a few of the old York roundhead DBs in early March off Ebay before business closures started.  Those are now selling for 3x what I paid.

I have all the original Wacky Packs from the early/mid 70's.  Kids used to trade them in the school yard before the school bell rang.  Damn, I'm getting old.

That "vintage" gym looks pretty modern to me.

Vintage to me would be Jubinville type stuff and York free weights not equipment from the 90s.

Just my perspective.

I like the old York round head dumbbells.  I was in the process of putting together and entire set of the blue ones, but after CONvid hit the prices exploded.  These use to be $1-2/lb on Ebay, but now they're 3-5x that, especially if they are in good condition.

I have had it explained to me that "Antiques" are hand-made by artisans...Items mass-produced in factories are "Collectibles"

So, is a Ford Model T an antique?

No....But Ford's quadricycle is...That was the argument that this antique store owner used.

Is this why a gently soiled 2008 Bunny Suit is going for $2000 on Craig's List?

What makes a good gym is the people who train in it.

If your gym is full of people sitting on machines texting or taking selfies then most likely it isn't a good gym.

That describes 90% of the ppl in gyms these days.  Absolutely pathetic.
