That was it.

That was it.
I have done that, but sometimes its unavoidable to pull into the crosswalks.

This reminds me of a couple of true stories.....
I had a friend once .... If a car topped in the middle of the crosswalk ..... he'd simply open the back door and walk through the car to the other back door and then exit without saying a word.
The back seat area of cars back then were much more spacious than today so it was easily done.
One more thing he had a habit of doing ... He'd hop on a street-car and run to the back without paying the ten cent fee.
So the streetcar driver would get up and chase him, but the kid would run out of the back door and run back to the front door ... and since the streetcar driver was now on the outside ... he'd hop onto the street car driver's seat and proceed on down the streetcar tracks with the driver in hot pursuit for a couple of blocks.
For you San Francisco residents .. this occurred more than once on the "N" streetcar line in the Sunset roughly between 24th - 26th avenues on Judah Street.
But you're safe today because he's too damn old now. Or dead!
The "legend" goes that he was run over by a streetcar on Judah Street.
BTW ... He grew up to be a very famous lawyer in San Francisco.

Think you can make the light and you realize you can’t.
