As I've gotten, not older, but I'm actually old, I've notice that I'm still seeing a lot of the same old people that I did when I was a kid. I was 12 years old when I first saw Geraldo Rivera. He was reporting on the death of Bruce Lee. And I still see him on T pretty much every day. He's 76 years old! That guy goes into war zones doing reports when so many his age are in hobbling around in nursing homes. I just saw William Shatner doing a commercial for those breathing devices. I was just a little kid in elementary kid watching him on Star Trek. He's 89 years old and still going strong. How many even live to 89 let alone walk normally and still working.
I think it's harder for a woman to pull this off but Jaclyn Smith is 74 years old and still pulling it off.
I know this is GetBig and people will always find things to criticize but compare these people to people their own age or any one you know. Compare them to your parents or grandparents.

I agree, I know Shatner gets some heat for his hairpiece but I think he's doing a pretty good job pulling it off, surely doesn't look anywhere as old as he is.
And of course how these guys live is more important ultimately than how they look.
I would put Clint Eastwood in there, not based on looks because I'm sure he's not going to do commercials for skin products anytime soon, but directing movies at age 89

Clint Eastwood looks old (Obviously) but almost 90 and going strong, he’s around the same age if not older than James Dean
Would love to hear his Hollywood stories and life through the 50’s, 60’s, etc would be interesting
-
Sean Connery is 89
Dick Van Dyke is 94
Olivia de Havilland is 103
My grandmother is 101
-
Gene Hackman 90
Rober Duvall 89
Warren Beattie 83

Maybe working in Hollywood isn't too demanding ;)

Jerry Springer is another one. He does look slightly old obviously, but still acts like he's much younger.
Not that he's a celebrity, but I work with a dude who's retiring next month. I asked him how old he is because I didn't think he was anywhere near old enough to retire, and the fucker is 64! I know that's not ancient, but I honestly thought he was 48-50 at the most. I asked him what he did to maintain his youth and he told me he has never smoked anything in his life or had a single drink since he was in his teens.
If that's what it takes, looks like I'm fucked lol

Sometimes it's not the quantity of years but the quality of those years. You have people in their 90's that have been weak and sickly for 30's years. I agree though with the three examples used. They are clear headed and going strong for their age. Geraldo Rivera trained at a boxing gym for many years. William Shatner just has good genes. Jaclyn Smith has had a ton of work done to her face but she looks great. The older I get it seems that someone in their 70's isn't that old. ;D
The most important things to age well is good genes and taking care of yourself. Some people because of good genes can drink, smoke and never exercise living to 100. For the rest of us we have to put the risk factors we can control in our favor. I'm close to 60 year old blonde girl that in her twenties was smoking hot with a curvy figure. Fast forward to today. Never exercised past 21 and smokes. She is a mess. Fat and sloppy and can barely walk due to medical problems I bet caused by inactivity.
One thing for sure as I age it's shocking seeing people my age deteriorate. So many people in their 60's the last time they truly worked out hard was in high school and it shows. Working out hard also can be a double edged sword. Grinding your joints away through heavy lifting can lead to orthopedic issues that can lead to people to stop exercising. So many big names in bodybuilding have had hip replacement surgery, knee and shoulder operations. Sometimes I feel that anyone with 40 years of lifting should be doing moderate weights, relatively slow cadence reps; and higher reps with moderate weights. In other words volume.

Yes balance is key.
It's also a mental attitude thing, I know people who started "act old" in their 30's... all of a sudden all kinds of excuses of what they could or should not do any more... ::)

Shatner looks great and is very active for 89.
-
Of course we usually see these people when they are all made up with makeup for camera and photo shoots.
Cosmetic surgery (Shatner, Jaclyn Smith) helps along with makeup.
Shatner wore a hairpiece on Star Trek in the 60s when he was 35.
Jaclyn Smith at 73. Amazing. Still hotter than Dutch love. Was an 11 in her prime. Still a 10.

King of Karate!

Too much sun exposure ages your skin badly.
You can tell those that have been sun-worshippers like Clint Eastwood.
He was a lifeguard in his youth and spent a lot of time in the sun throughout his life.

Heroes of our youth are aging rapidly.
- Chuck Norris is 80 :o
- Sly is 73
- Arnold is 72
- Hulk Hogan is 66
- Michael Jordan is 57
- Big Ron Coleman is 55
etc.
They have largely been replaced by diversity-promoting simps and half-men.

So true.
They are still "heroes" because the next generation is a bunch of wimps.
And the men of the previous generation were even better.
The future of masculinity looks bleak but you never know. Things can change.

For me she was a twelve. If there was an episode of Charles Angles where she was in a bikini It made my week. What a body to go with that pretty face.

raquel welch is turning 80 this year! 80!... true, she's had alot of work done, but she has also taken care of herself for decades and she has great genetics too...the thing is if you don't take care of yourself, NO AMOUNT of plastic surgery is going to help or help that much.

Many of those simps and half-men will have transitioned to women so they won't count anymore.

I was more surprised when I learned Wes was only 95

Shatner has godly genes. He's just as sharp as he was 25 years ago. He has a daughter that is 55 that looks 35.

That still is from of the early episodes. I liked Kate Jackson too, but not much up top. For me, Cheryl Ladd was more the total package...
