Not trolling, does anyone think they'll ever be another white Mr. O? Luke was the only guy that actually had a legit chance. The only other guy I guess is Flex Lewis, but I have a hard time seeing him beating even a William Bonac, lead alone a Rhoden, Curry. Ramy. If Bumstead put on another 60 pounds he may have a shot, but that's highly unlikely.

Guys make more money on Youtube and Instagram than being Mr. O,,,mags are dead... Things have really changed in that way, so I don't think you even have the same demographic appeal as one issue.

There's no talent even in the black ranks, it's shit across the board.... Patrick Moore getting hyped, he's not that special imo, he would never have got anywhere in the nineties.
As someone said social media and other divisions coupled to the millenial attitude of wanting everything now and it taking at least a decade to get to the Olympia has almost killed men's open.

Yes because bodybuilding is one of the few sports where being a certain race is not a competitive advantage. A white Mr Olympia will happen again. And in our lifetime.

I think that the quality of the Olympia will continue to go down. They amount of drugs needed to place high is a turn off to real athletes.

Traditional bodybuilding is dead. The current competitors suck... watery and bloated. I don't know ANY millennials or gen Z's who care about bodybuilding and they have no aspirations to look like a bodybuilder. The Planet Fitness mentality has taken over... eating pizza while doing leg extensions is now the norm.

It was just an observation, no racism here. I was a fan of Luke and he had all the tools to possibly win the big one. He also had all the characteristics, he trained hardcore, he was a straight shooter but had a sense of humor, he had a marketable unique look. Looking at the current crop of guys there no other white guy I see in the foreseeable future that has a chance.

Guy has sampled most coaches it seems... Chad, Jansen and most recently, Tuor I believe. Unless he can reach his peak again (big query given what he has gone through) he isn't likely to don the thong for us anymore!
INB4 the incredibly creative, original "wow, the guy who claimed natural" when he was saying steroids =/= cheating and that he therefore hasn't cheated when talking to some airhead journalist

Not for a long time, the last white guy to crack top 5 was Dennis Wolf in 2015, and he was 5th. Jay, Branch, and Dennis were the last truly competitive white boys, and they're already ancient in bodybuilding years.

Correct, sir. They all look as though they were dipped in the River Shitz. Fugly stuff that fake tan but given they got their "builds" primarily from a bottle one supposes that the tan comes from there too.
The 70s guys actually got a real tan and their skin was much healthier for it. That and they took time away from the drugs and doubtless didn't take as much or as many as the current group (i.e., the last 3 decades at least) do.

flex wheeler, Kevin levrone, Shawn Ray, they never won the O. And they are considered among the best of all time and the top elite genetics of all time. Hmmmm, politics maybe....
Like a lot of other things politics is heavily involved, If there’s money in the Middle East and Asia/China market I guarantee you there will be a top guy coming out of there soon
People like Chris Cormier and Milos are smart, they know where the rise is coming from, South Korea, Japan, China. And Kuwait. Why do you think they are over there training bbers all the time? And more and more shows are over there now

arnold's body in the movies inspired millions of gym rats and wannabe bodybuilders and in the early 90's he traveled to all 50 states promoting youth fitness
it's crazy his own son wasn't inspired at all, nobody can convince me he isn't disappointed in this fatso

I am all for spending time in the sun. It feels good and for good reason since it boosts vitamin D which improves our mood. There is nothing better than the feeling of laying out on warm sand with the heat of the sun burning a nice glow into your skin and taking a dip every so often into a cool ocean. It is great right up until your skin breaks down from all the exposure and you end up at the dermatologist or worse oncologist and you end up with scars from removed skin cancer or if your lucky just visually damaged skin that's lost it's elasticity and leaves you looking like a dried prune.
I am not sure of all the effects of Protan on skin. I've heard that it bodybuilders wearing it smell really bad. I've seen where it runs down their bodies in brown sweat created rivets as if someone shit diarrhea on them. But at the end of the day, it washes off while a sunburn does not.
One time because it was free upgrade, I got a spray tan at Tan Republic where go for Red Light Therapy. The first day it looked okay, just a little orange like the orange man leader. But it quickly faded out to some really sick looking shades of yellow and orange in splotches. Never again. I'm a whitey and a whitey I'll remain.

Well said, sir. But moderation in all things is key, even that which is good for us.
The few times I competed as a bodybuilder it took me weeks to get my tan and a lot less time to lose it. But a tan along with the ocean gives your skin a healthy glow these drugged up land slugs will never have. They can't go near salt water and sun. They'll boil away.
I weep for bodybuilding. It is not just a niche activity but rather it is more and more a fetish for a fetid few.

White bodybuilders are pushing doses too high too young and burn out.
Blacks are growing more steadily and are peaking in their late 30s/40s. If whites try play that game they generally fail because their bodies seem to go down hill by their mid 30s. Arabs can go either way.

I don't know how the judges, who presumably have been doing this for decades and are considered the experts in the field, can possibly had Jay over Victor that year. It must suck royally to have you life's work and ambitions crushed by politics over merit.
But props to Jay for making such a vast improvement over an already highly advance physique that he presented in 2009. It's rare at that level for any pro to make such a dramatic improvement. To make such a comeback and being the only person to lose and then regain the title convincingly.
