Post by: The Keto Kid on May 16, 2020, 08:36:32 AM
Cooked a bunch of meat last night,  when I finished Iturned of my stove to let it cool down. I ended up falling asleep,  woke up about 3 hours later. Is this meat still good or do I toss it?

Yes, it's fine.
I figured that, the internet says 2 hours, but I work with a guy who eats those Walmart cooked rotisserie chicken he comes to work with it at 7am and leaves it out (no fridge) eats it at 11 and he's fine.

You'll be fine, I leave cooked meats out all the time for a few hours. If you're nervous, just zap it in the microwave or reheat it :)

Oh Jesus it's fine. I won't even tell you how long I've left things out and still devoured them. 3 hours is nothing. I've had sandwiches with mayo sit out wayyyy longer than that and I've still ate them.

Thanks for the feedback, I was looking for some real life experiences because Google says 2 hours in a certain temperature range and bacteria has already grown on the food. Just don't want food poisoning.
