Title: San Diego beaches open but LA and OC not (but gyms are)?
Post by: Never1AShow on June 13, 2020, 05:56:56 AM
What a shitshow of screwed up regulations.  All a man wants to do is train hard at Gold's Gym Venice (re-opening 6/16)then walk over to the beach for some sun and discussion of advices.  Allowable in San Diego but not in LA County.

This reads like something out of 1984.  Anyone who still votes Democrat (communist) is a moron.

Here is a message from Gold’s Gym President and CEO Adam Zeitsiff

Gold’s Gym reopens on June 16th

“I am very excited to tell you that Gold’s Gym Venice, CA will reopen Tuesday, June 16 at 4:00 am!

While the state of California and LA County is allowing gyms to reopen with strict social distancing and sanitation guidelines on Friday, June 12, we have made the proactive decision to reopen The Mecca in Venice on Tuesday, June 16th at 4:00 am so we can focus on ensuring the safety and comfort of our members and team members. While we have been deep cleaning The Mecca since it was temporarily closed, we also have updated a large amount of equipment in the gym, including new dumbbells, barbells, and weight plates. We appreciate your patience as we finalize placement of this new gear.

Our hours of operation will shift to:

4:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday – Friday
5:00 am to 7:00 pm Saturday – Sunday
We’ll also be adding an “Intermission” from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm daily where we will temporarily close the gym to incoming members for cleaning and sanitization.
Additional measures we have undertaken include: implementing club capacity guidelines, setting-up physical distancing between equipment, phased the reopening of some amenities, as well as preparing for the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) with our team.

To prepare for reopening your club, we’re asking all Members to sign our update “Code of Conduct” prior to using the gym. Click here to accept.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your patience and continued support of Gold’s Gym and The Mecca during this unprecedented event. We look forward to seeing you back in the gym on June 16th!

Yours In Health,

Adam Zeitsiff
President and CEO Golds Gym

Social distance only required for non-family members.  Training partners qualifies as family

Are they open for sunbathing?  My understanding is they are only open for "active use"
