Any of you guys been rucking?
Ill give it a shot, put some weights in a backpack before i go on walks!
This way I can pretend I am in the military.
RUCK•ING [VERB] // Walking with a weighted rucksack (aka backpack). It implies action, energy, and purpose. Rucking requires strength, endurance, and character -- and builds it, too.

Soulcrusher is a big rucker. Dude is kicking azz. Check out his training thread.
Another thread pointed out how longtime infantry men are usually wrecked from all that rucking. It's tough on the joints.
*Fried, will you carry your shoeshine kit in your backpack too? :D

Getbiggers are a "sleeper army", waiting in readiness for the call to defend American values anywhere, at anytime.
-
So far rucking and wearing a green t-shirt isnt a sign of "stolen valor" so I will continue to pretend I am a soldier just trying to stay fit during the pandemic while waiting for further instructions.

All women enjoy hiking, rucking, canoeing, kayaking, and other vigorous activities on their dating profiles. I don't know how they can be so active and maintain such a large physique.

So I did my first time rucking
Started out light
45 minutes with 20 pounds in a backpack
Felt good! more of an effort than just walking.
Im considering buying a weighted vest but they seem sold out everywhere, seems like a better alternative for heavier load

Its interesting how much carrying extra weight matters.
I have a lot of respect for fat people who are out walking, surely its a much bigger effort.
Also it shows how easy pull ups are if you are very light weight and have at least a reasonable amount of muscle mass.
I watched how the american olympic water polo team tried BUDS (just for a few hours, video on youtube) and they had an incredible hard time to do burpees. Seems they were all very tall, fish outta water :D

Just walk fast for an hour outdoors. Do it five days a week and watch the fat melt off. Leave the heavy back packs to the military. You can try a weighted vest but the risk reward ratio might not be in your favor with joint problems. A heavy back pack makes you walk unnatural leaning far forward to counter the weight when fatigued. Not exactly a healthy way to walk. Youth can get away with it.

How long do you walk for?
Do you use a vest or backpack?
Will take some time for me to go up to that weight.

I have a lot of rucks. My go to is the 26L GR1. The weight vest puts too much weigh on my chest for breathing purposes.
Most days I do 3-5 miles in the early am. Weekends are longer rucks 10-15 miles. Its great.

This. They always appear to be written by someone with a learning disability.

Did my second time rucking today, I'm up to 1 hours worth.
Will probably stay there and add more weight.
