Two great physiques.
But the side by side scaling is off on the video to even be able to make a call. So it's a fail for the maker of the clip.

A week after the 1993 Olympia, Clairmonte beat Flex at one of the European Grand Prix shows

Bodybuilding was something else back then, sport really has regressed since. Don't see that amount of overall detail anymore.
-
The physiques were so good back then that a guy like Clairemonte would get overlooked.
Amazing physique.

Palumboism wasn't around back then …. funny how Palumbo himself wont blame the drugs for the bubble guts but rather he claims is pure overeating lol
WoooSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Clairmont had a leg up, you could say.

clairmonte was underated, but a in shape flex wheeler no way. flex was perfect in 93
i still to this day say the 93 asc version of flex was the most appealing physique in the past 30 years to step onstage

Flex did look incredible but it was very close with Charles which wasn't reflected in the judging. Quality of bodybuilding then in general was just amazing, most sports improve with time but that is not the case with this.

I like Marx Max Muscle (or somesuch...I think I got that right), but some of his comparisons are hilarious. Claremont was good but he never belonged in the top ranks. Like Porter Cottrell, he snuck in when the very best didn't hit their peak. Charles was razor thin from the side and Wheeler lost those shows as punishment for losing some of his conditioning and his blowhard arrogance.

Can't disagree with that.

That year Claimonte should have been 4th.

I know, but that was a week later.

I'll bet Clairmonte looks better than Flex today.

;D ;D ;D ;D
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... LOL!
As for Flex, for some reason he reminds me of a slightly taller Gary Coleman.

Ouch!!!

If I could look like anyone in history, it would be a smaller version of Clairmonte. The amount of top notch puss you could pull with that physique is mind boggling!
-
Clairmonte still looks good today.

If it weren't for the Ninjas who knows how far Flex could have gone in bodybuilding.
