Curtis Leffler competed at the 1995 World's Strongest Man competition after having just competed at a bodybuilding show. The dude was ripped to shreds and was purple the entire competition. He died 3 years later in 1998, at the age of 36.

Leffler was one of the purplest bodybuilders you've ever seen. Huge guy, but you could tell something was going to go wrong with him. He had a DNP overdose a little while before he died also. Supposedly a super nice guy too.

Not a very healthy profession. Most of them will die young. People worship guys like Eddie Hall and Brian Shaw... it would be a miracle if these guys lived past 50.

Met him back at golds Venice in the 90s and also at The Gym in hawaii big strong dude, purple skin, body looked starved of oxygen but one big strong guy.
