Can anyone tell me what this means when someone is referring to a bodybuilder and his muscle?
Besides the standard homosexual response, please.

Does it have anything to do with a deep tissue massage? Asking for a friend.

Perhaps it should be called long muscle insertion points vs short muscle insertion points, or perhaps "short tendon insertion" or "long tendon insertion". But that opens up another kettle of fish when explaining to people. "Deep" (in place of long) and "Short" work best when writing for the muscle mags.

Dave and I both know a thing or two about deep tissue massages.

Guess it means they tie in deep, making a distinct edge at the insertion where it meets the other muscle. Like "capped shoulders" for example.
