Title: Bodybuilding
Post by: IrishMuscle84 on August 06, 2020, 08:33:22 AM
Bodybuilding is a double edged sword. On one side it's SOMATIC NARCISSISM but on the other it's humbling and teaches you humility and patience.

Bodybuilding is perhaps one of the most stupid, pointless, useless waste of time a man can do...and most getbiggers are old enough to know this

Unfortunately true in many ways. Though it can teach discipline that can be taken into other areas of life.

In all fairness to the bodybuilding scene, it usually paves the way in areas such as diet, nutrition and even supplements (over the counter).

Competitive bodybuilding however is most definitely pointless and a waste of time. No arguments there from me.

Just realized you wasted your life? Lol

I still lift for at least an hour a day and do at least 30 minutes assault bike a day, and run 3-7 miles 3-4 times a week..my life pretty well revolves around fitness.

But I don’t give a shit about bodybuilding! As long as I’m getting stronger nothing else matters, if I get bigger? Great! But it isn’t the goal.

So, keep pulling that thong so tight up your ass that it makes your prostate pulse, and smile at the judges😚

Why is getting stronger a better goal?

When has strength ever been a weakness?

How is being super strong any better?  No one knows or cares how much you can lift.  The reason we build muscles is to attract females (or males for many on getbig).  No female has you pull out a bench and barbell to prove how much you can lift before deciding to go out with you.

I'd rather look like I bench 400lbs than weigh 400 pounds.

Being strong literally has a direct correlation to all aspects of health and fitness.

Plus, not all of us post on getbig for a living...strength adapts to active people's lives well.

Not really.  Those studies are done on elderly people that have almost no strength at all.  A person who can barely get out of bed will have health and life benefits by being strengthened enough to do so.  People like Jason Blaha and other powerlifters take those "scientific studies" to prove being able to deadlift 800 lbs will make you healthier.  If more strength meant more health powerlifters, strongmen competitors and Olympic lifters would be living longer than anyone.  That isn't the case.

This is pretty funny and there's a lot of truth to it.
