He's not though, he always came across as an a**hole but I like Jay though, but I can't deny it, he always had that steroid attitude, and still does

In what ways?  I never thought of him as an A-hole.  Boring, early on, but in time his personality came out, and he became less...shy, I guess.  It's funny that a guy who is 5'8.5" and was 285-lb or heavier in the off-season would be shy, but Jay was.  Not so much lately though.

I respectfully disagree, bro!

I’ve seen him at the gym and at a show. He was very nice both times.

Eactly. Both in public (on video) and in real life he has always been polite, patient, and gracious. Have you ever met him in real life? Like when he does one those nutrition store appearances where he has to sign endless autographs, take pics, and answer the same questions over and over again. Even the professional photographers have said how easy he is to work with and a real pro. The guys was never a big mouth or an attention whore. Always seems to be chill and down to earth.

He is the bodybuilder that is the LEAST of an asshole like the others!

Always polite, humble and talks with fans.

In the beginning though, i thought he was very dull but he grew on me (homer) and he became more talkative.

I’ve met and talked with many pros and jay is nice and always willing to chat, Phil gets a lot of hate for being cocky and asshole personality, but he’s the opposite in person, I’ve met him twice, he came down and trained at my gym. He was nice with everyone that approached him

All the pros I’ve encountered I would say most are pretty cool, including Shawn Ray too. Titus was funny before he went to prison

As for imposing and size besides Ronnie I would say Paul Dillett and Quincey Taylor cause of their height. QT was around 6’4

Bodybuilding is full of larger than life characters.  Jay being one of them.

It was pretty cool back then when Jay was battling Ronnie, doing rows with 405 for 4-6 reps(2001?).
He's looking great for his age - good genes and self discipline.

When I first saw that I thought it was a bit much. Maybe it wouldn't have been that bad if he wasn't wearing white. Looks like he's prancing around in his BVDs. BBing has lost so much of it's dignity. Look at Arnold here. No forced smiles, grimacing, tongue out, "come on" hand gestures solicitating applause, head bobbing and hip gyrating dancing... just a dignified look. Letting his physique speak for itself.

Jay is absolutely the coolest and the best representative for the Olympia and just bodybuilding In general. A few months back when I was getting ready for the North Americans, I trained in Vegas at the Lift Factory. Jay was there training and videoing his weekly FB live. Had no idea that he videoed me training arms but more specifically spider curls.

After we were done we must have talked for an hour sitting in the lobby talking bodybuilding and just kinda shooting the shit.

Arnold mentions in his book that he would keep his face still like thst to show how much control he had over his body. So while other guys make faces because posing is actually pretty difficult he would demonstrate superiority by keeping his face perfectly still. Its very very hard to pull off and one of the less talked about reasons he was so dominant. None of his competitors really even came close to challenging him.

Had to watch that twice Arnold was amazing! I find his physique more and more impressive as time goes by.

I didn't know that. Nice info.
