Mask wearing is not enforced in my gym. It's a bit ghetto-ish, but it's old school, iron, dirty and rustic type of place... I love it.

Heck, in my condo there are postings stating a temporary by-law mandates one to don a mask in all common areas of the building.

In my gym people gradually stopped wearing masks over last couple weeks. This weekend they started stricter enforcement. Said they had been reported twice and if they get one more strike they might be closed back down. It's not a superbusy place. People are almost always 6ft apart anyway.
Meanwhile Target down the street has employees saying they don't enforce and aren't required to because the enforcement causes more problems.
No rhyme or reason to this. Americans reporting to the mask cops on other Americans. Can't have cops enforce criminal law, but go ahead and enforce mask insanity?

a guy many rows up came down at the end of the game, maybe 1 min left. which all the grubs do at sporting events. they cant afford good seats so they crawl down to our areas hoping to not be noticed after people leave early.
well he started yelling at barkly on the bills. ranting raving, cussing him out calling him a bitch. he was not wearing a mask. security comes over after awhile and asks him to wear mask. The guy was simultanoiusly talking on the phone as well. lol. he refused to wear it said what are you going to do pussy?. he also refused to go back to his seat. security left him alone. i was kind of happy and sad at same time.
but id rather have a drunk maniac in my life, and not have to wear masks, than a 20 year old lesbo telling me what to do. in a store she doesnt own.

If you "get" Covid? You mean if you test positive? Because that's what all theses scare porn numbers are, not cases of sick people or even those with symptoms, just meaningless "positive" tests. You'd highly likely be able to do all you do now and not even know you had it. The numbers are a fraud. Have you not heard of cycle rates? They are detecting virus at rates 1000 times below anything infectious. This goes for those quoted death rates also. For people not in the very high risk groups with often multiple co-morbidities it is less than the flu.

I live in SC, 5 minutes from downtown Charleston. My gym has been full open since around June, only masks required on entering and leaving. Same as most other gyms in the area. Bars and restaurants here are doing great again and people are living life. I know exactly one person who was diagnosed with Covid and they recovered just fine. Our main hospitals at the height of Covid here were ghost towns with many nurses and Dr’s being laid off, up to to 50% at some hospitals. People here were over it by May, and started facing the boogey man shortly thereafter. Life is normal here for the most part. My town even got rid of the mask ordnance, but did reintroduce it for federal property, pharmacies and grocers I believe.

Here in Canada where I am in Thunder Bay, the Ontario Ministry of Health demanded masks.
But under Canadian federal law, people have legitimate medical reasons not to put on items such as masks - for example, claustrophobia, or in my case, autism spectrum disorder. I am only on the cusp of autism, and it gives me super hearing, so excess stimulation DOES bother me, but it is limited to noise, or being in large crowds [or - frankly - with any people]. But again, that's only because of the noise issues.
That being said, autism spectrum disorder IS a stimulation disorder, and it's my legal right to refuse to wear a mask due to having a valid medical reason not to wear one. And I have a letter from a clinical psychologist stating as much.
But in Canada, Canadian citizens aren't legally allowed to ask other Canadian citizens what the medical exemption is. Under federal law, it is illegal to ask.
So any citizen in Canada is legally allowed to not wear a mask, AND it is illegal to even ask that person why they aren't wearing a mask.
That is...unless federal law is changed. And that could well happen, but that's irrelevant; under current federal law, we don't have to wear masks in Canada.
At my gym, I spoke to the owner directly about it, and she had a memo sent to all employees not to...well...even look at me.

NOT like it's all that hard to do that in the case of the masks here in Canada, where the federal law is overwhelmingly on our side.

I only visit stores with no security and never wear a mask. I even park my car elsewhere and enter the store with no documents. 20% of the time employees remind me of mandatory mask policy and I just say thanks for the reminder, pay for my stuff and leave.

BTW we are in for something BIG in the next couple of moths. Most of us are already aware that this is a hoax just like moon landing, 9/11 etc, but still don't know what's in store for us. We can only speculate.

On a serious note, in terms of asserting authority with respect to not being legally required to wear masks in Canada [with a legal medical exemption, which I *do* have, even though it's more of an excuse for me, since the mask doesn't bother me due to my autism - only loud noises do, because I have basically "super hearing"], we can't legally be asked what the medical exemption is.
So NO ONE needs to be wearing masks - I think the only legally-binding exception to this that can ne legally enforced would be those working in the healthcare field, or at elderly homes, be they assisted living homes, or even independent living seniors homes.
And I honestly CANNOT STAND hearing people say "OMGZ, wear the mask to save the people."

With under 10,000 Covid-19 deaths in Canada in total so far since the first case on January 25th from a Chinese man who arrived in Toronto from WUHAN, CHINA, WHERE THE VIRUS ORIGINATED [Gee, who could have seen THAT coming? ::) HEY, CANADIANS BEING AFRAID OF BEING CALLED RACIST COST US OVER $300B IN ECONOMIC DAMAGE, BUT NO BIG DEAL - BEING CALLED A BIG BAD SCARY WORD IS SOOOO MUCH WORSE THAN LOSING 22% OF OUR ECONOMY ::)]
under 1,000 of those Canadian deaths being deaths were caused DIRECTLY from Covid-19, and only 22% of THOSE cases were among people under the age of 70...and currently [as of yesterday] there were/are only a reported 49 people in critical care [ICU's] in Ontario right now due to Covid-19 [presumably on respirators in the ICU - but serious cases, to be sure]. So exactly WHY are we still willing to destroy the economy over this? ::)
Over $300B+ in economic loss in the second quarter of 2020, over 1,000 people who died. So, what, $250-400 MILLION spent because not even 1,000 people died directly of this virus? WOW, sounds like a completely proportional and reasonable fiscal response to the devastating health damage suffered by Canadians thus far from Covid-19. ::)
Prior to 2020, I felt that Canadians were uniquely the stupidest people in the world. Not in terms of IQ average...but just...in terms of wokeness literally possessing their souls. I felt Swedes and Americans and Brits were all in a race to the bottom with Canada, but if you pressed me - I would have said that Canadians were winning that race.
Now I'm not so sure. It's like the entire world has gone batshit within the span of a year. Not grasping that we have this thing called an "immune system", that comes in handy in case of, you know, viruses, germs, diseases...stuff like that. ::)

I'm just grateful that, at least for now, federal law trumps ANY and EVERY mandate that provinces, municipalities, and the Ministry of Health have put in place for mask-wearing, and that if our current politicians try to change that, they will run into some HEAVY Charter breaches in the process, and it will be held up in court for a while [hopefully], at which time if they ARE finding any success legally in changing the law - our actual charter - that by then, the public will not likely still be buying it.
You can't make people stay afraid of a virus that the average person doesn't even know anyone who knows anyone who knows anyone who died or even became seriously ill over it. ::) Seriously, this will not hold up. Covid-19, while not nothing, is simply not lethal enough to keep people in chains in their own homes.

It is SUBJECTIVELY written, unlike the American - much BETTER constitution, which is objectively written. Canada's Charter, for example, says that we have freedom of expression, if our expression is "reasonable". ::) Yeah, because that's not opinion to opinion and completely subjective or anything. ::)

Unfortunately, where I am now, not wearing a mask in a public area can result in imprisonment of up to 6 months and/or a fine and definitely a criminal record if stopped by police.
Though when driving alone, a mask doesn't have to be worn, but with passengers it does.
However, in the gym people are allowed to take the masks off when doing 'vigorous exercise' but have to wear the mask when leaving the weights or machine or walking around in the gym.

I live in SC, 5 minutes from downtown Charleston. My gym has been full open since around June, only masks required on entering and leaving. Same as most other gyms in the area. Bars and restaurants here are doing great again and people are living life. I know exactly one person who was diagnosed with Covid and they recovered just fine. Our main hospitals at the height of Covid here were ghost towns with many nurses and Dr’s being laid off, up to to 50% at some hospitals. People here were over it by May, and started facing the boogey man shortly thereafter. Life is normal here for the most part. My town even got rid of the mask ordnance, but did reintroduce it for federal property, pharmacies and grocers I believe.

The Covid-19 mortality rate doesn't even begin getting scary until the 70-79 age range, where the death rate is between 1 in 12 and 1 in 16, depending on the data you look at. Let's just arbitrarily call it a 1 in 14 death rate for a person in the 70-79 age rage. That puts the survival rate at 93%.
At 80-89, the death rate becomes 1 in 4. That sounds scary looking at it that way, but that exact same statistic viewed optimistically means that 75% of people aged 80-89 who get Covid-19 will beat it. I didn't go to my grandmother's birthday party two weeks ago, but she also turned 88...there are a lot of things that I would do to accommodate my grandmother, but in any case, she is almost 90, so being disproportionately concerned for her is rational.
I also read two sources that put the average age of a person dying of Covid-19 so far at 79.5 and 84, respectively. The first source was just a random meme, but the second source is a YouTuber named Computing Forever, and he does his research. I don't trust any source blindly, but I have been studying Covid-19 data for about a month now, and everything I've read shows that Covid-19 is an EXTREMELY geriatric virus. It's even more geriatric than the flu. With the average age of a person dying of Covid-19 being older than the average human lifespan and with the odds of a healthy person under the age of 40 dying from Covid-19 being under 1 in 10 MILLION, it's literally a real life comedy watching the current hysteria over this virus...if that comedy wasn't funny at all. SO basically, like any other woke comedy coming out of Pedowood Hollywood today.
I'll put it this way:
If you were to plot Covid-19 deaths as a function of age on an XY axis, you'd basically get a curve that doesn't do anything until age 70, and then takes off...kind of like...oh, I don't know, THE HUMAN LIFESPAN IN GENERAL. Who knew that people die?

That means that 7,779,941,980 of the ~7,800,000,000 on the planet on new year's day 2020 did not die directly from Covid-19 as of the current date, 2020-09-23.
In conclusion, 99.99926% of the people alive on January 1st, 2020 did NOT die directly from Covid-19, even though we've all been continually reminded of how terrifying and freaky this global pandemic is.

To be honest, I am not concerned about getting COVID-19. If I were, I wouldn't leave the house. I would have everything dropped off at the door and avoid people entirely. You may think that would be impossible, but my good friend Nancy who has a compromised immune system and congestive heart failure as a result of having chemo for throat cancer is doing just that.
At 76 years of age, my age profile for contracting COVID is right up there. Conversely, I am exceptionally healthy so there's no reason to believe if I did get it, I'd die from it. But if I did get sick and die from the virus, well at least I've lived a full and long life. People my age die. In fact, I just found out my oldest longtime friend died late last month. He was 4 years older than me. His health wasn't great. I didn't ask so I don't know what he died of....maybe it was COVID or maybe it was something else.
Not sure why you like to layer what others say and think onto me, which is something you've done for as long as I've known you. I do not recall ever suggesting shutting down the economy. I was back going to the gym almost as soon as they were allowed to reopen. I recently went for drinks at a bar I like. I wear a mask where it is required and not when it isn't. For example, you won't see me driving around in my car with a mask on or out gardening on the street side of my house.
One gym I go to only requires people working out there to wear a mask when they enter or leave....because that's the governor's mandate and they don't wish to be fined or shutdown for violating it. L.A. Fitness, where I also workout, requires people wear a mask at all times. It's a damn nuisance. My glasses are always fogging up. If I didn't have a preference for some of their equipment, I probably would avoid going there. I miss eating out at restaurants, but I've adapted by using online ordering apps or the drive thru. BTW, french fries are terrible cold and hamburgers are not as good. Subway sometimes messes up my order even though I used their app.
Nope. I'm not mandating shutdowns. If Trump's rally attendee's don't want to wear masks, it has little affect on me since I don't attend his rallies.
