At least 2,352 of those cases are students – out of more than 1.1 million Texas public school students who have been on campus since the first week of school. The number of cases has been rising steadily since the beginning of August, with at least 995 new cases reported last week alone.

I sincerely hope that those of us taking COVID-19 seriously are dumb and uneducated. Plus we are dead wrong and all you who claim the pandemic is no big deal and only an enormous hoax perpetuated on the world solely to keep Trump from getting reelected, are right. In the meantime, if I chose to wear a mask when I go to the grocery store or the gym, you will cut me and anyone else who makes this choice some slack.
This is one of those situations where there is no joy in being right. Forgive me if I don't want to die yet or maybe have my family and friends die or just get COVID-19 afflicted. I am super healthy as I suspect you are, Coach. It is so easy to believe this bug can't touch us. I hope it can't.
