I've never even registered. Not seeing why it makes a difference. Everybody will still complain anyways.

It matters because of the Supreme Court.  You want a President to appoint Justices that agree with your point of view.

In theory, but most people don't agree on anything politically. I've been alive since 1981. I honestly don't notice a huge difference in all of the Presidents since then. They just don't have the reach to affect my life that much.
