Bodybuilding has more of a following here than anywhere else in the US. Why does it have only one pro show? (and a rather shitty one at that).

There will be another one next year

WELL DENVER IS THE NEW CAPITAL OF BODYBUILDING ::)

Why did they move the Olympia to Vegas?
-
TO BET ON IT ;D

isn't there a Fresno contest right before the O this year also?

Pro events are expensive enough as it is, and the California surcharge makes them even more cost-prohibitive.
Add to that the fact that there are tons of entertainment options here and when you think about it, a $75-a-ticket bodybuilding event probably won't be able to compete that well.

I assum we are talking about the Men's Bodybuilding Pros.
One pro event in Southern California is enough. While there is a lot of interest here, there is a lot of interest everywhere, and the pros are less accessible in other parts of the country.
Men Pro Shows this year are
Southern California
Northern California
Ohio
Denver
New York
Toronto-Niagara
Texas
New Jersey
Las Vegas. Nevada
As for moving the Olympia to Vegas, one of the best moves they made. They consistent average over 5000-6000 people at the event per year, have a convention center expo with hundreds of booths, and damn, it is Vegas, a great place to go and have fun at!
For those who remember Long Beach, New York, and others, with very small booths around, Vegas is the best!
