Looks like this was put up at the start of lockdown, so probably been posted here already - if so, apologies
I'm also going to flog a dead horse a bit... but it's weird to look back at these guys and think about the casualty rate :-\
Nasser and Matarazzo - heart failure
Ronnie - how many surgeries?
Flex Wheeler - 1 kidney, 1 leg and 1 bicep
Did I miss any..?

Aaron Baker looked like the most normal person in the video
The morning after this O, my friend and I watched a very depressed-looking Aaron (alone) buy a bagel and coffee from a street vendor outside our hotel.
-
J P Fux was in this one, so he's on the injured list.
1 Ronnie Coleman
2 Flex Wheeler
3 Nasser El Sonbaty
4 Kevin Levrone
5 Shawn Ray
6 Chris Cormier
7 Lee Priest
8 Ernie Taylor
9 Mike Matarazzo
10 Jean Pierre Fux
11 Milos Sarcev
12 Johnny Moya
13 Darrem Charles
14 Aaron Baker
15 Gunter Schlierkamp
16 Ahmed Haidar
17 Claude Groulx
Dillet withdrew.
About 33% had serious health problems that could be related to the hobby.
If we count medical and legal problems, you're closer to half.

Nasser unable to stand without holding onto the cab was one of my favorite parts.

I hope you offered words of encouragement to him and paid for his bagel and coffee, the least you could have done for a depressed thong warrior

i don't think he competed much after this show, i think he did the ironman in the early 2000's so he probably knew after this show that it wasn't worth it anymore

Earl, off topic, but wondering do you still follow the steelers and what do you think about this season?

their games are the only sports i watch, i was happy they stood for the anthem in week 1
so far looks like the best team they've had since 2010 when they lost the super bowl

Why did Dillet withdraw?
Diuretic problems again. I seem to remember he ran off stage and fainted or something like that. The joke was that at least he didn't need to get carried off like in 94". They blamed heat from the stage lights, etc...., but Dillet always seemed to have trouble with diuretics one way or another.

On the positive side, these guys generally seem to be doing fine (11 of 17):
Kevin Levrone
Shawn Ray
Ernie Taylor
Jonny Moya
Darren Charles
Aaron Baker?
Gunter S
Darrem Charles
Ahmad Haidar
Claude Groulx
And maybe Fux and Milos should be added in, they enjoy life

Come on now earl hahahaha, really?!?!’ ;D I remember you saying last year when they were trash, you don’t follow them at all anymore especially since the NFL is so political. Now that they are doing well and “standing for the anthem in the first game” you are back at it.......... no respect, stand by your words

Fuck the NFL to Hell.
3/4 of all NFL players end up broke or declare bankruptcy
https://www.thinkadvisor.com/2019/03/07/why-so-many-nfl-and-nba-players-go-broke/
40% studied had serious head injuries
https://time.com/4289745/nfl-concussion-symptoms-treatment/
The bottom line is , most pro sports come with some serious "side effects".

If they include a swollen, entitlement driven ego among those serious "side effects", then those stats may well be closer to 90%. Fuck 'em.

Are you correlating that 3/4 ending up being broke because of head injuries? Or are they ending up being broke because they are hebrews? I think the latter
