Title: Sorinex Bulldog Pad
Post by: Body-Buildah on November 04, 2020, 12:01:35 PM
Richard Sorin and team make good gear, but 400.00 for a clip-on bench pad seems steep. (Apologies for all my off-topic muscle posts today folks)  ;)

While it looks well built, $400 is a bit crazy for that.

That is an awesome little thing, but $400 can buy you a decent imported bench or a great used commercial one. The sad thing is Titan will knock it off, and sell 1000's.

And will probably sell it for 100.00. Free shipping, etc. I recently got their Reverse Hyper, 399.00 free shipping, (its very solid).
I also have their log-bar, wagon wheel plates, Viking Press handle, Safety-SQ bar, etc. (Some other things). Ive been lucky, all well-made items where they can be hit or miss w/ their stuff.

They have inconsistent welds.  Their customer service is great, and they replace asap, but I have had to get a flat bench, adjustable squat box, and j cups all replaced.  And the bench they replaced it with, wobbles a bit.

An interesting piece of unnecessary equipment to spend almost $400 on.

I bought a shake weight for a girlfriend many years ago.

She was not impressed.  ;D

I'm going to Sorinex Summer Strong next month in SC.   Should be great.

That $400 pad is a total waste of money
Titan's stuff is kind of cheap
I just purchased this bench and put it together last weekend
I purchased it primarily to have another (hopefully better) decline bench for dumbell presses
I'm going to give it a try tonight for seated dumbell presses
If it sucks I'll just put it on Craigslist and try something else
Assembly was a pain in the ass because none of the hardware was labeled

Yeah, that's pretty much the case with Titan.

I'm all set with them.

I have a half rack, a flat bench, and foam plyo box, and an adjustable box.

The foam plyo box is awesome....the rest is just meh.

true but they are relatively inexpensive so you get what you pay for

I bought these last year and they come in handy for dropping dumbells after decline presses and a few other things

I bought the Rogue 20 for like $100 and so far is fng great.   A Tank piece of equipment.   Well worth it.   Made in USA and its a staple.

A length of 8 by 2 layed across the safeties on your power rack does the same thing at a fraction of the price
