I was lucky enough to see the Killers tour w/ DiAnno, back in 1981 I believe it was. 7th row in a small Orpheum theatre.
W/ Priest Point of Entry.

I was then lucky enough to open for DiAnno (BattleZone) in a small club w/ my band. Paul was crazy, Coke, booze, broads, all over.
Fun night.

Maiden - One of the best. Harris = Bass God.

When they brought in Dickinson they also made their best record ever though (imo)

That’s some extra cool shit, brother.

My first Maiden concert was Powerslave at Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens. Twisted Sister opened on its Stay Hungry tour.

Maiden is a heavy metal legend.

Up the Irons!

Love the band. Still have Nicko’s drumstick from their gig 20 years ago.

I saw that tour as well (Actually it was Piece of Mind and Quiet Riot, ignore that), but it was Cape Cod Coliseum when Vince McMahon owned it.
We're standing in the hallway after Twisted QR, who comes walking around and no one even noticing him? Dickinson.
We stopped him said hello for a few mins, and off he went. One clown w/ us says "Who was  that guy"? I said "Youll find out in about 15 minutes".  ::)

Great drummer.
Clive Burr (RIP) was one of my faves as well. First time I heard Maiden (Killers) opening with Ides of March into Wrathchild, that drum and bass, amazing.

I'm surprised there were females at a Maiden concert.

The girls were at the small club for BattleZone, mid-80's, it was just a club they went to all the time since bands were there non-stop.
I saw Slayer (Reign in Blood), Armored Saint, King Diamond, Fates Warning (w/ John Arch), Flotsam/Jetsam (w/ Jason (before he left for Metallica) Anthrax (Among), Celtic Frost, on and on...

When it comes to Metal and killer guitar riffs; Maiden is the Beast itself.
Next to Van Halen my number 2 band to go to is maiden. When I first heard The number of the beast my world of music was fulfilled. Amazing band with insane music abilities.  2 minutes to midnight...jesus christ! What a frigging hellraiser that song is..or Aces High?
LIve after death is supposed to be the best live album ever recorded. I agree..
1. is Thin Lizzy live and dangerous
2. Deep Purple Live in Japan
3.Iron Maiden
any of those 3 albums could take the number one spot and I wouldn't care

and yes it is SteveHarris's band. He writes even the lyrics Or at least the

DiAnno IMO is one the best metal vocalists along w/ Bruce. Booze, drugs, smoking, probably did him in.
(Knee's are shot, in wheel chair).

One of his later vid's, he still had the pipe's during this one.

One of my favorite bands of all time.
Number of the Beast and Piece of mind my two favorites.
Powerslave had some great gems like Back in the Village and the instrumental losfer words.

Not bad, they sped up a little bit at first and were a little off key, but they made up for it.

Woe to you, oh earth and sea
For the Devil sends the beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
Let him who hath understanding
Reckon the number of the beast
For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty six
