Do enough people even care about this freak show anymore? How many people ever care about “getting huge” anymore?

Inned.

"Getting huge" is subjective. Teenage girls thought Justin Bieber was huge and jacked with his 13 inch arms.
-
Getting huge rules. Organized bodybuilding is a cancer on this fine sport of kings

It died in the 90's. The wave created by Pumping Iron and Arnold went through and finally died out. Now it is just a freak show like it was pre Arnold when nobody cared about it, like today.

I don't really care for "bodybuilding" much anymore.
Just more into weight lifting and getting jacked.
I think this "sport" jumped the shark many many years ago.
I mean, just try to start a conversation about modern bodybuilding to "anyone" outside the gym and see their reaction.
I quit speaking about bodybuilding years ago, i barely even talk about working out anymore. Unless someone has a specific question.

Enough to keep it going for awhile longer.

I have no interest in competitive bodybuilding.
I have zero respect for drug users in sports.
I have zero respect for drug users period.

I’ve kinda abandoned interest in both competitive bodybuilding and powerlifting.
Well, not fully, but you know what I mean.
Fact is, out-of-control drug use, and (also), in powerlifting, ridiculously tolerated and uneven variables with gear, technique, exploited angles, and such, has rendered both pursuits, again, in a competition sense, a heaping load of bollocks.
Good thing size and strength, for me, was always mostly a personal pursuit, free from the impulse to impress others, collect titles and become “famous”.
Likely why the use of drugs was never too much of a dangling carrot.
I’m satisfied knowing, apples to apples, at 50, I’m one of the strongest men on the planet.

Drug free weight training is the best exercise a person can do.

The roid guts, bald heads, hideous tats, and gofundmes need to die. Stat!

I would not miss it if it did.
Age and experience brings wisdom. Don't train stupid heavy and don't get hurt. At 54, the main things I strive for is maintaining muscle, strength and staying as youthful as possible... drug free. I also get a kick out of being able to out-lift 98% of the 20-somethings in my gym and carry 10 bags of groceries up the stairs all at once.
