I genuinely think his character in No Holds Barred is frightening.
I saw it in the theatre when I was 19.
That first scene with him “crashing” that first Battle of the Tough Guys contest is hair-raising. Him walking down the stairs, clunk, clunk, clunk, and then picking up the waitress (by her face!) and dropping her is fiercely intimidating.
Also him slow-mo walking through the haze from the helicopter to confront Hulk as he takes part in an event with his young fans ...
Scary.
All this, plus he was friends with my earliest muscle heroes, David and Peter Paul. The Barbarian Brothers.
RIP Brother

Damn I liked him as a actor and wrestler etc

Just read this on Lonnie Teper’s FB. Used to train at Golds. RIP Tiny

his fights in the steel mill were pretty scary too, especially when he beat down hulk's brother
no holds barred is one of my favorite "bad" movies of all time

Saw No Holds Barred as a little kid on VHS, and Zeus was legitimately the most terrifying character I'd ever seen! Definitely an all time 80's campy movie!

Zeus Entrance at 28:32 was a Thing of Nightmares!RIP BIG FELLA!

That blond guy (right before Listers entrance) is Pete Doherty (Duke of Dorchester) LOL, was he fun to watch at the live events back in the day. (Here he's 'Klondike Kramer' in he film).
New England legend.

Too bad :( He seemed like a cool guy. RIP, Tiny.

Good guy all the way. We were friends. Quick to smile and laugh.
He will be missed.

He was a douche to fans. Refused to sign autographs or pose with fans unless there was a video camera around. Scammed lots of people in Hollywood out of a lot of money. Scammed his way into $7M worth of real estate and was indicted and convicted. Abusive to his wife and then his girlfriend. Lost custody of his daughter. Owed money to everyone. Died penniless and alone. But other than that, yeah...great guy!

Damn that sucks!
THAT MY BIKE PUNK!

'Tiny' Lister Struggled with COVID Symptoms During Final Interview, Days Before Death
Tommy "Tiny" Lister said he was looking forward to taking the COVID vaccine just days before his death, but when you listen to him it's apparent he's got serious symptoms, including labored breathing.
TMZ broke the story ... Lister's body was discovered Thursday ... this after friends and family couldn't reach him the night before. They were worried because he had been ill for a week and it was worsening daily.
During Tiny's interview with Brandon Jay just 5 days before his death, you hear Tiny struggling as he speaks. He was attempting to clear his throat throughout the interview.
Tiny, who wore a mask, told Brandon on his podcast ... he had lots of things to do in life, and was eager to take the shot -- inspired by the 3 ex-presidents who agreed to get vaccinated publicly -- so he could get back to work shooting movies. He had a shoot scheduled this week but had to cancel it because of illness.
Tiny apparently had COVID 4 months ago. It's unclear if he was re-infected or if the virus hadn't left his body.
He was truly optimistic about the future, saying he planned to spend Xmas watching basketball and spending time with his daughter, Faith.
Autopsy results are pending. Tiny was 62.

It’s a small world homie. Just look at the sad apartment he was living in on his final livestreams. The life of a hustler/scammer eventually catches up to everyone.

He never recovered after Rip put him through the mat.

I saw No Holds Barred when I was 16, with my best friend. We saw it the day it hit theaters and were the first two inside our local movieplex.
The place wasn't packed; but there were a decent amount of people who saw it.
Zeus was AWESOME; he towered over everyone. His training montage where he's punching the cinder blocks was insane.

Have you listened to either of Bruce Prichard’s podcasts on the movie?

That's a lot of stuff. All I remember is, he use to date the girl from the Hammer video.

I think so (probably the one on YouTube, posted shortly after Zeus died). Again, I saw the movie when I was 16, the day it hit theaters. So, as far as I was concerned, it was a blockbuster.

I remember him in the Ironage movie "Don Juan De Marco". It's a shame "No Holds Barred" is not available to buy on YouTube. I do see a bootleg that looks watchable uploaded, but not the full movie, uploaded in good quality. The way you describe it, it sounds like a pretty cool movie.

Haha, I missed this. That's the one. As a kid, those unrealistic fight scenes brainwashed me. In real life, it would be nearly impossible to fight multiple men like that. Any times I've heard of anyone doing that involved very big dudes, and very drunk little dudes.
