But if you looked like that at 17, am I right to say that you couldn't count the number of blowjobs you were getting by the day? That in order to keep an accurate tally, you had to count them BY THE HOUR?
Sure, I'll grant that 6'0" and 205-lb lean is not the biggest build in the world, but for an everyday health look, and a look to attract women [or men, if that's your thing], I would say that type of physique is quite ideal. Not to mention, you'd almost definitely have a better health status than the average professional bodybuilder, as well as have more mobility, greater athleticism, and in general, be less musclebound.
Even though I don't like the "Everyone gets a trophy" mentality of today, if there's one thing I do like about these new divisions is that it allows guys to compete who want to work out, who want to put on size and be lean, who may well have the genetics to put on pro bodybuilder size with enough food and gear, but who prefer to be 190-lb or 210-lb, for the sake of their health, and for any of the reasons I included above, and any others I did not.
He may not be bodybuilder huge - but he has decent size, is lean, and is clearly committed to consistently working out and eating well. I see no reason to knock him.

Why is there an Amateur Olympia? The whole creation of the Olympia was to take the very best champions (Universe and World) and put them against each other on the same stage.

Whatever you did, if you looked like that at 17, you had an incredible physique [IMO, for any age].
We all have different goals and standards, but I don't think massive size is the be-all-and-all. And I'm not saying that just because I don't have the genetics to get to that level of bodybuilding - I just think having a lighter, lean muscular physique is much more conducive to things like long-term health, and other things that I think matter more and more to us as we get older.
Incidentally, are you still just as serious about bodybuilding as you used to be?

There is such a thing as taking too few drugs and here is a prime example. If he wants to give it a go just so he won't regret it later, might as well go at least half-way hard and stop playing around with 60s cycles.

Totally agreed. 6' and 205 lean is pretty much optimal --and this guy looks like he won't collapse if he needs to climb a flight of stairs or sprint to catch the bus, he's not bright purple, and he probably hasn't shaved a couple of decades off of his life. In other words, he looks healthy and athletic.

He’s narrower than phil

No.
No what?
Do you think he is doing enough drugs to be competitive?
I'm not saying that he should do some monster cycle but he is lacking certain components imo that could've made a big difference.

Maybe his goal is to get his dick sucked by Finnish/Swedish women competing in female categories, rather than win a plastic trophy and $12,000?

He's not too light to get his dick sucked.

Eww [no homophobe].
But you're probably right.

Winners get more action, no?
Why compete at all if you're going to place very poorly?

What does that have to do with him competing in the Amatuer Olympia?
I'm sure he gets plenty of ass, but most women are not attracted to guys built like him. At least from what i've seen. They just want to see abs.
He's in that zone where he's too big for a normal guy and too small for a bodybuilder.

Good to see natural bodybuilding get the airtime it deserves.

Reasonably lean, a little muscle (not a skinny rail) , nice smile- that's about it when it comes to looks for women. Anybody who thinks getting big is for the girls is so far off, lol

Correct.

This worrying about, and debating about "what women want" is pretty silly teenage thinking.
Is this Traub guy too big to attract the maximum amount of women? C'mon, who cares. Did Arnold have problems attracting women when he was big? "Yeah but Arnold was also successful and charismatic etc". Exactly.
Do you suppose women are attracted to some neurotic pussy who worries that his 16 inch guns are getting too big?
You can talk about what women go for ideally but do you think pro bodybuilders generally have extreme problems finding casual sex partners?
