OK here`s the post office story in its entirety.
I collect vintage comic books (1950`s-1980`s or so),anyway I`m culling my collection by selling some bookd on Ebay.
I always use Media Mail cuz it`s cheap,doesn`t actually take as long as some people think,and I`m trying to make as much money as I can off of these expensive comics which I bough over the decades with my hard earned cash.
So one day I go into the post office with a Worlds Gym Springfield Mass sweatshirt on.
This cat behind the desk says to me that he trained there also.........I asked which World Gym and he said Springfield.
Small world because now I live in Northern NY up near Canada.....as an aside Albany is a far cry form being classified as upstate NY as most folks think......I live in a vast arctic wasteland where it literally gets colder than Alaska more often than not.
Anyway the guy seemed OK enough and we shot the shit a bit then I left.
Next time I go there I have a few parcels to mail so I tell him Media Mail.....he asks what I`m shipping so I tell him comic books.
He says comic books aren`t covered by Media Mail.........I insist they are cuz I`ve used it literally hundreds of times.
Anyway he says that comic books contain advertisements and that nullifies them from qualifying for Media Mail......why,I have no fucking clue.
I`m a bit perplexed cuz any asshole that sends away for Sea Monkeys.100 Toy Soldiers for 99 cents, or a toy submarine that fits 2 children inside it for 5.99, from a 1967 comic book,is more than likely not gonna recieve those items because the companies are long dead.
Anyway he says the charge is $16.00..............the most I`ve ever paid to ship one book is 2.80 and 5 or more books varies from 4-8 bucks depending on how many issues you are shipping.
So I must have been having an acid flashback cuz I paid him the 16 dollars like a total idiot.
End of story so far.
Now I`m also into tropical fishkeeping and have quite a few aquariums,but I live in the sticks where the nearest Petco.(they suck balls by the way) is like 70 miles away one way.
So I buy my fish online at a site called aquabid.
Anywayy,I orderd 35 dollars worth of fish from some guy in Florida plus 20 bucks shipping,.......a straight shot up the East Coast to NY.......but some moron sent my fish to Colorado......here`s where Mr Post Office comes back into the picture.
My fish arrived dead after 9 days in record heat ion the mail,I called fuckhead to see about being reimbursed for my cash.
He told me things happen and I said I know I used to to work for the P.O. as did my father, uncle,and older sister but that this changed jackshit and I wanted my money reimbuserd.............. .....CUZ I DONT LIVE IN FUCKING COLORADO !!
This dickhead blamed the snafu on the Covid Virus......I couldn`t stop laughing......everything is due to the Covid virus.
OK I`ll cut to the chase,he tells me I`m nit getting paid and I tell him I`ll take the money out of his ass.
I realize it wasn`t his fault but because he worked for the post office and lost no money like I had he acted like he had some power over me kinda like a power mad cop..................... ...........who I hate more than anything.
We went back and forth and I called him a few choice names.
Now yesterday I go there to ship a box of around 10 comics and again this hammerhead insists that becaase the comics have ads that Media Mail doesn`t cover them.
This is where I told him he was wrong and a few of his co-workers had told me so,not that I needed that affirmation but it helped.
I went off,I screamed at him to fuck himself and all he was gonna get was what Media Mail covered and told him he should pay me the balance of the 16 bucks he robbed me for the last time.
He raised his voice so I told him to chill or I would fucking choke him out and to just do his job and ship my mail like a good boy.
Also called him a sissy bitch and told him I had to be a prick to him, cuz people like him who think they are always right,are usually wrong.
He charged me $4.68 cents and pouted off like a little girl, so I called him a pussy and a bitch once again.
It felt great to tell this pompous fuck off....................a ll of his fellow employees and the customers looked on in amazement......this was commonplace for me.I`m not from this hick burg !!

There is a way you can avoid paying these stupid fees and actually make paying your bills hassle free. Every bill including utilities, cable, a mortgage, phone and credit cards can be paid using automatic deduction from a checking account. Do this and you will never get another late charge of phone pay fee. Some bills like utilities should be paid in full each time they come due. However with other bills, like credit cards there is the option to pay the minimum or more. If you can do it, pay off your revolving accounts each time they come due and you'll not pay fees or late charges and you will avoid paying interest.
When using credit card, limit what you charge to what you have on hand in the bank. For some people and in some situations this isn't always possible. But when you do, it almost guarantees you can pay that bill off when it comes due and avoid paying interest.
