That's awful. I was just telling my kids about how many breakdancing moves they see today came from the old-school, even with Ice-T (the Original Gangsta), was "Hip-hopping is a way of life, with graffiti and rappin' on the mike".

More like, my kids didn't even know that DJ stood for Disc Jockey. So, I showed them this clip with an actual DJ, actually spinning discs (or records for those who prefer the classical name ;D ).
Of course, back in the 80s, hip-hop/rap music was supposed to be the music of the future. Hence, rappers and breakers had those technical, space-age sounding names. That includes two of the three stars of Breakin', Turbo and Ozone (the guy who just died; he's the light-skinned guy with the hat).

I thought the title of this thread said he died of coronavirus (COVID-19).

I honestly believe Jean Claude Van Damme literally walked into that crowd having no idea they were filming a scene in a movie :D :D :D

Hardly! That's standard fare, in terms of exercise gear (especially in the early 80s). But, Van Damme isn't the issue.
Adolfo "Shabba-Doo"/"Ozone" Quinones was a hip-hop legend and definitely helped push breakdancing (and, by proxy, rap music) to mainstream status. But, I don't see in the news where he died from the coronavirus.

He didn't - he had a negative COVID just test the day before - there's a thumbs-up picture of him out there

AIDS?
He died sorta like Tiny Lister. He felt bad for a few days, then felt a bit better, then just passed away. He said his Covid test was negative, but who knows with those things.
