Weed laws are super slack in Canada and its really easy to get a grow license, especially if you are crazy. I got a license from Health Canada to grow 100 plants, never grew more than 50 at once,and now only grow 6 for personal use.It was a really interesting time growing these, a full time job with that many as they require daily care. Im an indica smoker,I like to light up and melt into the couch for hours.

Burned a few. Too much food. Hard to regulate with so many different strains. Never did that again.

for most of my grows I went with a product called budmud,....check it out
I switched to coco perlite later with nutes but liked the budmud more
I grew in airpots for a few--holy they are amazing--a little pricey but wow the root system goes wild and healthy

I just used promix hp. Added some dolomite lime and its good to go.
Curious, how long did it take you to get the grow license? I'd really like to go legit and supply local dispensaries or other legit suppliers that make edibles,concentrates, etc...

you cant supply them even with a licence. Only govt approved large scale grows can
but the licence is still great to have
I went through this company https://www.licencetogrow.ca/ and they are absolutely fantastic to deal with. Tony who does the communication is awesome. Such great customer service
if you dont have any physical or mental health issues make something up for the skype interview with the nurse

There are smaller licscense you can get, from my understanding. There's three types I heard . Have too look into it some more.

you can get from 25 to 900 plants
The initial interview and paperwork didnt take long at all but getting the license from health canada took 4 months
I grew in that time anyways, its weed, no one cares

Is there any such thing as a weed connoisseur? Or is the plant just not something which lends itself to the development of flavors and aromas that people enjoy for their own sake?
Not trying to play epicurean snob here but I find it interesting that I've never seen tasting notes on weed. It's always just 'wasting notes.' So long as intoxication remains the principal concern of marijuana use, it will remain stigmatized. Is there any work being done on improving the smoking qualities or is potency the only concern?

quality is massive with so many strains out there. The longer you let it cure, the smoother it will be. Ive grown chocolope, white widow, tangerine dream, critical purple and many more, and all have a unique flavor. Then the big thing is sativa or indica. Indica dominant plants make you dozey(nicknamed indacouch) while sativa allows you to smoke, get benefits from the weed but still be alert.

Fwiw, I don't see how laws can justifiably dictate whether you're allowed to get wasted on anything you want. If I were were in the weed market tho, I'd be looking to elevate it from mere intoxicant to a higher end product. Don't go as far as the cigar horseshit does, but shake off the hessian hippy loading dock worker image.

Its happening already plenty of different products with different characteristics, all marketed differently. There's not much stigma here. See all kinds in the dispensaries.

I could never figure out these two brothers who were roidheads smoke weed during their workouts by taking a smoke break outside. That would kill my aggression in the gym and I'd be looking for a corner to take a nap in.

I used to say the same thing cause a bunch of guys I trained with with get wicked stoned and then train.Then a few years back I tried it and it was pretty cool,I would just take one rip and train and it was fun.
