Title: The FDIC and your bank deposits. Money is not protected at banks now
Post by: Marty Champions on February 01, 2021, 07:56:04 PM
Ive noticed at the local bank here, no security, extra long wait times. Cannot go inside the bank.

I also didnt know u need multiple accounts to stay atleast somewhat protected if the bank or even a 'big' bank suddenly says it cant give you any money. The fdic can only insure a small percentage. Not many know about how close your bank account can be wiped clean for whatever reason the bank choses

Some of us know it's 250k per account.

You'll never have to worry about it.  ;)

Too much stress, not enough grass clippings.

I don't trust the banks will hold up. A major correction is in order. The recent corruption displayed with the GameStop short is proof of that. They are blatantly not allowing people to make moves on Wall Street that have been legal for years.

I think it's pretty messed up when they make up the rules as they go.
