It was on my T9-T12 I believe and guys this fucking hurts bad. It a procedure used to burn the nerve roots where they leave the vertebrae so the calcification I have doesn’t cause pain and also I can be free of NSAIDS for around 8 months before it starts to bother me again ( that’s the time it takes for the nerves to reconnect. This is my 3rd time in as many years of having it done but this time the pain is unbelievable. Any of you gents know any advice on something ( within reason) to take the edge off?
Thanks pimps

I've never smoked weed but edibles are a staple in my boring life these days. Back in spring when my sciatica flared up (worst pain I've ever been in) I was prescribed flexeril and that worked absolute wonders but when I added a 10mg edible to the mix? Forget about it. Pain went bye bye and I was lmao for hours. At nothing.

Just had one last week on my L3 - L5
It was my 4th
I’ve got another 2 scheduled 6 weeks apart
When I had the first 2 done about 3 years ago the pain came back within 6 weeks
Generally it takes 6 - 12 months for the nerve to regenerate
3 days after I had the first one I had a monster shooting pain down my right leg. N then it went completely paralyzed for a minute or 2
Then the same thing happened after the 2nd one
I’ve had more epidurals on my C6/C7 & L3-L5 that I can count
The epidurals do wonders for my neck but offer little relief for my Lumbar
So far I haven’t had that shooting pain or paralysis from the last ablation

lol yep not so tough I guess but I’m am back at work this morning with only Tylenol running through my blood and in almost 20 years have taken no more than 15 sick days. Texans tough , no probably no more than any other state, toughness comes from a persons constitution no the state in which they were born. Oh and also fuck you.

Smoke some weed bro.
I know a guy who is sensitive to marijuana and smoking weed gives him eczema...and inflames certain joints...So weed is not universal in it's soothing effect.

:D :D
I dont even know what an ablation is
Id probably be out for a month asking for my mom

Neck and back pain is brutal. AthleanX has some videos on Youtube that can help. Cleared my back pain a couple years ago although it wasn't nearly as bad.

Controlled destruction of tissue...

they take 4 18 gauge needles and use X-ray to guide them into the spinal column on my T-9 through T 12 a needle at each nerve root. Then they run a thin conductive line direct to each nerve root exit point a and the heat them for two minutes using radio waves to completely burn the nerve. I have calcification in the area that is the primary cause of my pain. Typically people choose opioids over ablation because their just more fun but I like being functional which is the case I think with most people who love to lift. I could opt for a clean up surgery but thoracic surgery is very difficult on even otherwise healthy people and success rates are the worst of any back procedures. I’ve got a years worth of sick and vacation time built up so when I decided I’m about a year out from retirement I’ll probably consider it but as long as this painful procedure keeps working I’ll just deal with it . Last night was a rough one though, even for a Texan lol

Surgery or any invasive treatment for back pain seems too extreme. If most our back pain is from working out and hen we should only require corrective exercises. In my case I need to do hollow holds everyday. My pain went from 8-10 Down to 0-1. I’d like to be a 0 pain but don’t know how

No weights at all for the exercises.

I started doing those hollow holds after reading you doing them. Those along with planks have improved my back massively,...I have/had brutal lower back pain for 25 years

Same on cervical but after a couple of epidurals I started to get hiccups. After reviewing data I found out I wasn't alone. In 2010 I began losing strength in my left arm and pain down the arm was a 10 plus. Found out I had fractured C6 likely in a mountain bike crash in 02 or combined with college/hs football hits.
Lumbar is a whole other story but I feel your pain. I stay as lean as possible (sub or at 10%) to take weight off my spine. Almost 60 and no surgery yet. Some yoga stretching plus core work has helped some.

I had nagging back pain up until a few years back and decided to just stop doing anything for legs in the weight room. Replaced my leg workouts with15-30 second sprints on my bike 2x a week and voila- legs have grown and zero back or spine issues.

I used to smoke a lot when i was younger. It hits you a lot harder, but that's not always good.
I have some edibles that i take every now and then when i go camping. They just make me so lazy.
I'm lucky i don't have any severe long lasting pain. I get back pain sometimes, but it's not that bad.
When i had my ACL reconstruction 15 years ago, the pain after surgery was so bad i didn't sleep for like 2 weeks. The Doc gave me 5 days worth of Vicoden but that was it. My friend gave me some weed and i slept like a baby after that. ;D

Does it ever. Man, I should have a Kratom addiction with this lock-down. I was buying a 25g bag of Red Bali every two weeks, and finishing it all within three days. Then my source held a grudge, and got flakey, and I took a full month off.
Apparently, Kratom has some issues - something to do with channel calcium something. My friend/source was just telling me today.
Real oxycodone is probably safer/less toxic... addiction potential ASIDE. At the very least, we know more about opiates.
I do like Kratom though.
Opiates are the only drug my constitution can handle. I guess CBD too. THC makes me deathly paranoid.

Ok, a few things..
1. Opiates suppress testosteron (in long time users)
2. You will get bad breath, from Kratom (chemical reaction)
3. never switch from Kratom to something stronger, (even if it has less side effects)
90% hardcore addicts are people who have problems with this society. (Mental health
etc..etc..)
+ there are more downsides to it (but it is pointless to discuss with people who use it)
-lack in motivation (long time users)
-suppressed sexual interest (can be a pro of course)
-and more. (+addiction)

I’ve used Kratom for about 18 years (way before there was any talk online or even any vendors - imported it). Used daily for most but have had to stop for various reasons for weeks at a time and never had an issue other than having a rough night of sleep one time (but next night was fine). I e used heavily at times 20+grams / day.
Hasn’t remotely slowed me down in my career - in fact I would say the opposite. Never once had bad breath. I toss and wash - then brush my teeth and mouthwash - do at the very least rinse with mouthwash thoroughly. Absolutely hasn’t had a negative effect in my libido - I unfortunately have lasted too long at times, but had that issue on rare occasions.
I can’t say it’s right for everyone - but it’s been great for me.

Interesting.
I've never tried it.
Do you smoke it or eat it?

it’s a very fine powder. Most people put a teaspoon or so in their mouth and chug water. It tastes awful but once you get it down you get results in just a few minutes
