Cuomo is pulling out all the stops to get people to love him again.

Highlights:
- New York is now the 15th state to allow recreational marijuana for adults.
- Under the final legislation, New Yorkers will be allowed to possess 3 ounces of marijuana and grow up to three mature pot plants at home, with a limit of six per household.
- Anyone previously convicted of possessing an amount of marijuana now under the legal limit automatically will be subject to expungement and re-sentencing.
- Recreational sales might not start until 2022, as the state will take time to establish its regulatory framework.
Well boys, time for me to grow and smoke!

Here is FLA acquiring a medical cannabis card is simple, just renewed mine.
-
It's amazing they will let you grow your own.
Pot plants get huge. They grow like a weed. No need to buy.

This is huge for NY state, as medical Marijuana did not allow for herb sales.
Granted, for a few years now, NYPD were no longer arresting folks for smoking Marijuana in the streets, mostly a $50 fine if you didn't put it out when asked by officers.

Just remember if you get drug tested at work, you can still lose your job. Even if you are legally consuming it.
They need reform on that silly rule too.

Job? What a dirty word. No longer in my vocabulary. Thanks

Liked that stopped anyone in NYC from smoking before. You could smell weed around any corner in nyc.

That’s crazy. Can you be fired for showing up to work drunk?
I have always thought medical professionals should be high when performing intense surgeries (so the stress is removed).

Sure can

Who the fuck they think they are to tell you what you're 'allowed' to do? Act like they're doing you some big favor, giving you permission. Screw off.
They never had grounds to ban. This permission assumes an authority they never had. It's like a thief who stole your car expecting you to say thank you when he brings it back. It was never yours, asshole.
I don't even like weed and don't use any other illegal drugs.

Exactly how I feel, the audacity to dictate what you can do, especially with an innocent plant growing out of the ground! :D
I'm not impressed by most stoners but the weed high can be beautiful, man. It makes you stop and take in the present moment :D

It's pretty damn blatant. Didn't he just announce free $27K for undocumented workers as well? Playing to the lowest common denominator for sure.

I'm not judging but you have that Valium script, right? :D
I'm seeing a lot of industry people on IG celebrating so and so many years of sobriety, meanwhile being on multiple narcotics. I'm all for doing drugs if it helps but some people have a weird concept of sobriety. Like PJ Braun who one day promotes Kratom and the next is celebrating sobriety.

It's New York state, where you need a license to do everything, including giving a manicure, lol. The state, which I lived in for a while, tries to mandate every aspect of life and the Stockholm syndrome residents keep voting for more restrictions. The reason Cuomo pushed the marijuana legislation is because he is now running for his political life and is trying to curry favor.

Alchohol is legal but if you showed up to work drunk you can also lose your job. That's why it's called recreational drugs and not occupational

Bunch of stoners not at work posting here today.
Some people actually have work of consequence and responsibility...those people can't be high out of their minds.

Same with alcohol.
-
Never smoked pot.
Never did any recreational drug.
Never been drunk.
Strongly try to avoid people too weak to handle life clean and sober.

20 minute wait at Trulieve(dispensary) earlier. :)

The difference being you could have smoked several days ago or upwards to a few weeks even and still "fail" a drug test.
Those people aren't showing up to work high or impaired and business/government should have little say in what people do on their free time

Oddly enough laws banning things are often the result of the will of the people.
The driving force of the Prohibition movement was various religious organizations, who believed that less alcohol consumption would decrease the amount of crime, spousal abuse, and raise the overall amount of piety in America. ... The prohibition and women's suffrage movements created an alliance.

I would like to think the school bus driver wasnt wasted in the morning.
if you are in a position of trust dealing with peoples lives then its not that unreasoinable to drug test staff
Although I believe people on welfare should also be tested so we know they are not sat at home being paid to get wasted.

Same here man, and everyone I know that lived that lifestyle looks like shit. People over drink and take drugs to escape their shitty lives instead of improving them.

Some do, but many smoke/drink and get along just fine. If something as trivial as a drink or a little weed puts you off so much that says more about you than anything
-

I think it would say something good about me. I’ll drink socially but I’m not getting sloppy drunk or getting sick from it wasting the next day. Many times my ex would be sick puking the next morning after drinking the night before, it’s a huge turn off for me.

Good move Wes.
It's a lot more fun when you are younger. ;D Don't get me wrong I hit some good whiskey and beer and might even have a puff if somebody I know is holding - but if it becomes more than just taking the edge off at night it is counterproductive.
I know a lot of people who are living the same exact way they were 10 even 20 years ago due to booze and pot. Same basic life, just older and more excuses. The ones that were doing heavier stuff are mostly dead or had the big wake up call and listened.

It was certainly the will of some people. Whether it was the will of the majority, we'll never know since there was no general referendum. The government decided for you.
Besides, our foundational axiom in the West is that the sovereignty of the individual is paramount. The Benevolent Authority/Save You From Yourself argument as well as the Brave New World/Communal Optimization approach don't convince me, since it seems inescapably true that everything on that side of your skin is yours.
-

Removes the government's claims over your meat, which were never valid to begin with.
Same as if they mandate a vaccine injection and you have no say in it. Yes, you do. You own yourself more than anyone else owns you. Certainly more than the government owns you.
-
If he actually has anxiety and takes his valium as prescribed by his doctor than yes he is clean
It doesn't matter to me if someone is this or that, all that matters is that you are happy. However, by that logic someone could get pot from his doc for anxiety and be clean as well. There's no difference. Add some Adderall or Ritalin or Dexedrine for concentration issues, Lyrica for mood instability and oxycodone for back pain. Sober? You have to admit that this is a grey area as far as being clean or sober.
Like that PJ Braun I mentioned. He uses the legal dope Kratom. It's classified as a narcotic here in Sweden and many other countries. He isn't sober in my book but he got some framed diploma saying 3 years sober or whatever :D

I'm on your side on overreach...but the real world has OSHA and lawyers and people that have other's lives at stake at their job. This is why libertarianism doesn't work. Black and white thinking.

Did you mean to say did or "didn't" as you wrote. I was an instant alcoholic from 15-40 after trying it the first time...runs in the family. GHB cam into my life at around 19. I always made rent, but I have many time made an asshole out of myself and puked all over myself while G'd up or on X in front of clubs zip tied until someone vouched for me, and took a breathalyzer to prove they weren't drunk and would get me home safe. One of the benefits of working at a gym is all the cops, ATF, FBI, etc. work out there, and know you so I got cut a lot of slack many times when others would have gotten steel cuffs and spent the night in jail plus charges to come back to face. I remember the first time I tried coke which when a friend of mine was friends with a huge dealer (2 stints in Leavonworth). We went to an after hours club with a few chicks we met at the after hour bar. Everyone of us had our shirts off, and would go into the bathroom in groups to take another cap of G, and snort some coke. Cops were right outside the door, and just gave us the "look" as we came out....they knew what was going on there and with us specifically. I went home with one of the girls, and started fucking her b4 her roommate came downstairs and fucked it up. Called my friend in the morning to come and get me to pick up my car which I left at the club. On the way home he asked how I was doing since that was my first time with coke. I said "Chad, you know me and how extreme I am with everything. Don't ever let me use that shit more than once a month or I'll be a junkie" He replied, "I know dude, you were having way more fun than normal and were outta your mind. Don't worry, I got your back and won't give you any for a while"
I still drink every other weekend, and hide my keys so I don't leave. I quit cold turkey for 6+ months b4 Covid, but being almost 50, stuck at home, and not being able to work out at the gym gets me angry and depressed so I tell myself it's ok as long as I'm not doing it every day.
Tim, always liked you here and on MM and respect not only your honesty, but how you've managed to give everything up totally. Keep it up! You're what many on and off these boards wish they could be. 8)
I honestly don't know how I never ended up in a coma or dead. That first night on coke when we were driving down the interstate which had cones every where as it was being fixed up and widened doing about 90, and passing around "corners" for a 30 minute drive. If you don't know what "corners" are, it's dipping your DL into whatever the coke is in and sniffing it off of the corner or it.

Ah, the "only the finishing touch" argument. ;D

If you're stoned at work, you get fired. WTF.
You can smoke a joint on Friday night inside your house and fail a drug screen on Monday.
I just find it silly.
I've been 12 beers deep on a Sunday and was completely sober at work the next day. Could have passed any test.
But if i would have taken a few bong rips on Sunday. I could lose my job on Monday. While being completely sober.
-
There was a story some days back where Biden's office fired White House interns who had admitted to have smoked in a legal state. People were pissed, didn't think Biden was such an asshole :D
-
I'm on your side on overreach...but the real world has OSHA and lawyers and people that have other's lives at stake at their job. This is why libertarianism doesn't work. Black and white thinking.
Agreements made between people, like employers and employees, let everyone retain their own agency, which is as it should be.
Where I draw the line is legislation that says a cop can drag someone off to prison when they haven't harmed or endangered anyone.
I reiterate: if they come at you with a mandatory vaccine, you'd be within your rights to tell them to fuck off because it's your body, your choice. Same rationale holds true for a non-pilot, non-surgeon sitting in his house using drugs.
To the other guy, no, not drug testing for people on welfare. How about no drug testing and also no welfare? Live as you like and carry your own water.
-
Ah, the "only the finishing touch" argument. ;D
LOL! In production, manufacturing, construction, etc. if you have an accident you will be given 24 hours at most to be tested for drugs and alcohol. Fail, and you are fired, have no legal recourse even if you weren't at fault, in the news depending on severity of the incident, and will not have a explainable reason or reference from your last job. Alcohol is out of you in 72 hours even on the hugest binge. You can smoke a blunt and test positive a month later. Is that fair? Not in my opinion. Personally, I'd take a ride home from a pothead over someone boozed up any night of the week. They should just legalize nationwide, and collect taxes on it like tobacco and alcohol. There's no withdrawal or real physiological addiction with pot, but there is with booze. You'll never die from lack of a puff of weed, but many have from not having a "hair of the dog" first thing in the morning. Also, why the fuck is one of the questions on the handgun form ask if you use illegal drugs (even medical marijuana if allowed in your state), but not if you are an alcoholic? If it's for medical reasons, it should not matter as a person smoking weed is way less likely to be violent than a drunk person. Other illicit drugs I agree with on the form, and denial if it applies. Pot....nope,, not at all.
In sales and management, they took us out to lunch and dinners and encouraged us to drink and either go back to work or go home buzzed. Lot's of coke at the big company get togethers as well. It's unfair, but we didn't have forklifts or other heavy equipment, or pallets that weighed 2000lbs to kill someone with.

When i worked in oil and gas, anytime there was an accident on a project site. they tested everyone at the site.
They do this for insurance purposes.
Had a guy flip a forklift.
He was still drunk from the night before.
They tested everyone. Ended up getting rid of 5 people, 4 for weed and 1 for cocaine.
It was January 1st. ;D

That highlighted bit brought back some good memories for me ;D
While I respect people like Rob and Wes, I confess that I never met a drug I didn't like. Partied my ass off for many years while an employed and functioning member of society and maintaining a build that allowed those 'shirt off shenanigans'
Stopped it all to concentrate on marriage, family and career - wouldn't know where to get sh1t from now even if I wanted it - I don't even smoke. I "put away childish things" as the famous quote goes... Although I'll be candid and admit that if I was in the US, I may have been tempted by one of those pill-mills that were in the news a few years back ;D
Two questions for B_MyT_2
1 How do you hide keys from yourself?
2 Please tell me your friend's name really was Chad ;D
-
I can get pot anytime I want it from my doctor.............prefe r to maintain my sobriety.
Is this because of the cancer? If so, doesn't being in remission negate the need? Honestly, I wish my response to pot was better than I remember. It is likely much less harmful than alcohol or other medications. Anyway, good for you. You have max willpower and that's great!.
-
It's amazing they will let you grow your own.
Pot plants get huge. They grow like a weed. No need to buy.
My thoughts exactly! If you are legally allowed to have 6 plants at your home at a time, there is no reason to ever buy it. Which makes me happy, since the demtards just passed a law that requires 40% of all revenue to go minority communities that had a disproportionate amount of weed arrests. Which is English for a community with a bunch of black drug dealers that make it way too obvious they sell drugs and got arrested.

No it` becaue I`m a fucking animal when I drink...............ther e is no off button for me.
`Iiam 2 people,one a pretty decent guy,at least I try to be,when under the influence,Im fucking insane.
I can outdrink most peope I know and was better than Jimi Handrix when it came to pushing the drug envelope( OD`ed 3 times) but I could not be resposible for the insanity that I would inflict on myself and others.

Got it. My mom didn't drink everyday but when she'd go on the occasional one night bender....all hell broke loose. Drunk, she was completely berserk and dangerous to be around. One feared for their life and for her's as well. Alcohol unleashed a wildly insane animal that was always lying just beneath the surface. Fortunately, this hasn't proved to be a genetic disorder. I'm pretty mellow drunk or sober.

Im coming from the position of being an historical drug user, but also a business owner, just trying to give you a balanced perspective to support the below statement.
You can draw a line between the legalisation of pot and decreasing productivity in the workforce. Certainly when it comes to manufacturing, construction and logistics.
Any type of hard, soft drug use is negative, I have had sales guys doing blow who think it adds to their game it doesn't, it leaves you vulnerable to strategic situations and thinkers, they will take the deal into deep water past the point of your compromised brain condition and have your agree to something below par, pot users are different in the way that in my experience they are usually more unskilled or repetitive trade labour force types where theres theres not as much strategy just productivity and what i has seen over my years in business that with higher levels of pot use in the population lower levels of productivity.
Im not trying to offend anyone, I've been a user myself.

Never paint people with the same brush until you have walked in their shoes..........I bet my life would have killed you.
Lots of people drink because of shitty enviroments, lack of education and jobs, chemical imbalances, PTSD,and chronic depression among other maladies.
I had/have all of the above and more, and I`m at least as mentally strong as Johnny Falcon !! LOL ;D

Er... I suppose all of the above is true, but I think one of the reasons that some people do drugs is, well, because it just feels fantastic ;D
I had a f*cking blast - very good times and lots of happy crazy memories - 24 hour partying - wild sex - the lot
A few weird experiences on acid and mushrooms, but they are great anecdotes LOL. No depression, no suicidal friends, nobody went to jail... in fact we all turned out OK
Of course, I'm not telling my kids that!!! ;D

Booze and drugs are a blast until they escalate and take you under.
It never gets btter with time..........only worse.
-
My mom didn't drink everyday but when she'd go on the occasional one night bender....all hell broke loose. Drunk, she was completely berserk and dangerous to be around. One feared for their life and for her's as well. Alcohol unleashed a wildly insane animal that was always lying just beneath the surface.
too bad such an entity was able to shit out offspring
-
Who the fuck they think they are to tell you what you're 'allowed' to do? Act like they're doing you some big favor, giving you permission. Screw off.
They never had grounds to ban. This permission assumes an authority they never had. It's like a thief who stole your car expecting you to say thank you when he brings it back. It was never yours, asshole.
I don't even like weed and don't use any other illegal drugs.
I agree with this
-
Oddly enough laws banning things are often the result of the will of the people.
The driving force of the Prohibition movement was various religious organizations, who believed that less alcohol consumption would decrease the amount of crime, spousal abuse, and raise the overall amount of piety in America. ... The prohibition and women's suffrage movements created an alliance.
I agree with this

Yeah I know they destroy lives - anything addictive/compulsive is potentially ruinous
But not everyone loses control and goes under though - that's my point - some people do get away with it and walk away

Agreed - hypocrisy stinks and I try to avoid it - but I'm not a preachy parent anyway. Years ago I would have called myself a liberal parent, but the L-word doesn't seem to mean what it used to, especially on GetBig! ;D

Im guessing Iowa and Kansas will be the last states to legalize

low self esteem- take drugs
small muscles - take drugs

OK,just be thankful that you aren`t a drunk or an addict cuz that shit does not discriminate and your life is far from over.
You sir never know where life might take you.

I think you have done well Wes, you have identified flaws and introduced self management to avoid them, power to you.

Yeah, i don't know i think all New Yorker's suck..
You can kill your own child in New York legaly..
And smoking pot is also legal.. nice.
You could give me 1 Million of you're worthless shit money and i would not go there!
If you like to smoke pot go to the the Netherlands..
-
I smoked a joint on Saturday evening.
For a while everything was more vibrant, more colorful, more exciting.
I couldn't stop smiling. I just wanted to go outside and be with nature.
Everything sounded more crisp, smelled more intense, felt more passionate.
I literally sat in my backyard for an hour and just pondered life; was i doing what i wanted? Was i living a fulfilling life?
Then i ate dinner, had sex with my GF and watched a movie. Slept like 8 hours.
NOW! If that is not detrimental to our society, i don't know what is. ;D

Cannabis offers a change of perspective, that’s what I get out of it.

Very envious, but glad you had a good time involving normal sex ;D
Wish they would legalise edibles in the UK - but I don't see that happening any time soon :'(

Sounds great. Cannabis gives a magical feel to the world for me. Like you are in a children's fairy tale :D
Great for sex, it becomes a magic ritual. Amazing for music appreciation. :D

Oh yeah, sex is great on it. I just laid back and let her do all the work. :D
They just signed a bill here in NM to legalize it, but it's going to be a while before they implement it.
It's legal here for medical reasons, so i can get the really good stuff very easily. I usually eat edibles, but a guy at work gave me a fatty, so i did that. ;D

Agreed on all points. I like listening to music when i'm high. It's like listening to something completely different.
I only get high once every few months. There is a chance i can get drug tested for work, but i know the cycle and typically get high right after someone gets a random test because i know it won't happen again for 3 months. ;)
My GF doesn't like it, just makes her fall asleep. More for me. ;D
Oh and food! It's tastes even more amazing. I used to smoke a lot in my 20's, it was great for relaxing after the gym and eating a huge meal.

Probably a troll post.
But MJ doesn't really turn people into monsters, in what way? :D
What it can do is make some people a bit more retarded and like they aren't fully there, even when off the stuff. Heavy smokers. And it definitely does seem to increase the chance of starting to believe in conspiracy theories. When you're high you're more likely to start questioning everything.

One of the side affects of certain people is paranoia. Do the math.

Okay yeah, it sounds plausible. So you're saying the paranoia manifests as violence? I'm not sure I'm really seeing that. More often it causes hippie syndrome, like believing in John Lennon's Imagine and loving everyone. Some have even said, perhaps in paranoid fashion, that authorities have been against MJ due to the pacifism it induces. Pot smokers don't feel like going to die in wars.

No, it manifests as questioning everyone else, when you are the problem.
That's paranoia.

Jizzos point is valid. It can trigger psychosis in those who are genetically more susceptible to it. You hear the odd story of a guy chopping up his parents heads off coz of some voice in head telling him they have the devil in them or something equally absurd.

Yeah it's pretty rare. One thing that's slightly more common is that it can turn some girls into freaks. Not the nice kinda freaks mind. Deviants would be more accurate..

I never drank regularly and just started using thc (I use that weird phrase because I stick to edibles) last year, and greenouts are seriously unpleasant. I watched that Marvel Wandavision show and when the townspeople were talking about how torturous it felt having the scarlet witch in their heads, I related it to having a greenout. That being said, I never fear I'm going to die from thc, and for that reason, wouldn't move on to anything stronger. I totally get how it could be a gateway drug, especially for teens and addictive personalities, but I am honestly so glad I was introduced to weed. It is such an enjoyable thing. I actually tried to pick up a light drinking habit, but the sensation is not the same. I don't enjoy drinking.
My wife's been cool about me having this casual habit, but she won't join in with me so I can't weigh in on how it affects partners' behavior, but it makes sex incredible. My wife is a beautiful woman regardless, but when I'm high, it feels like I can't even comprehend how beautiful she is. I watched the Godzilla movie high over the weekend, and the odd use of neon throughout it made me realize that it was probably made with stoners in mind, at least partially ;D . It was truly terrible, but I had a blast. I don't watch a ton of tv, but I've sat through so much shitty stuff over the last few month that was amazing to watch because of weed.
And the realizations- it has helped me just reevaluate how I interact with the world. For instance, one issue that it helped me see with my wife is that I communicate with her not just to convey information, but also to be perceived in a certain way. Like I want to be seen as the right one/the problem solver, so if she makes a suggestion that is as good or better than one I've made, I'll second guess it or even just repeat it in a questioning tone to try to make her second guess herself. That's a shitty way to treat your significant other, but it's something I had never even realized I did and I would say it led to an improvement in our relationship.
LOL I'll stop now, could ramble on forever. Not claiming weed is the key to a magical, perfect life, but I definitely bought into the villification of it when I was younger- even just 15 years ago I had a really negative opinion of weed smokers. I'm glad I have a more measure view of it now.
-
I've never smoked anything in my life, but am the worlds biggest proponent of edibles. They make bad things seem not so bad. Good things great. Sex even better. Food is incredible. The only downside is that my eating is out of control once it kicks in.
I recently watched Scent of a Woman while on an edible. Had never seen it before but was familiar with all the Pacino soundbites. My God, I almost laughed myself into a coma. Hoooo-ahhhh!

No it isnt
Paranoid people are very aware of themselves and other people most of the time, occasionally they get things wrong, thats the paranoia.
And its a myth that all people suffering a bout of paranoia are in some way afraid

All I know is the stoners from high school and college were low lives with no ambition. I wonder if their use was connected to low ambition to succeed in a career? Having never used it I wonder if I would have a different opinion if I did.

THC typically enhances a persons mental state.
It can make someone act more intense to a trait they already have.
People who are paranoid can typically become very paranoid on it.
When i was in college, we had this massive water bong. I took a huge rip off of it and felt like shit for about 3 hours. I was so high i didn't know what to do. That's the only bad experience i've had with weed.

It may have, or may have not.
I know doctors, lawyers, surgeons, architects, PhD students, professors, etc. That have smoked weed almost their entire lives.
It can make you lazy, but it doesn't prevent you from being successful. Ambition typically comes from within, it doesn't just happen.
Carl Sagan, one of the greatest astronomers who basically helped create the Voyager program for NASA, admitted a lot of his greatest ideas came from being stoned.
My dad's good friend was an engineering professor for Rice University, a very highly distinguished man. He helped define concepts of fluid dynamics and chemical treatment for pumping concrete vertically to build skyscrapers. This guy smokes weed every night. He's a brilliant man. You would never know it if you met him, but he's almost always high.

I'd welcome an email exchange with your dad's friend if he's willing. I'm working on mix designs for pumpable render/mortar. Even though it's just sand aggregate and no rocks, mortars are non-newtonian thixotropic fluids just like concrete, but are more prone to segregate than strong mixes. Concrete guys generally say you can't pump a "short mix," meaning it doesn't have enough cement fines to fill the void spaces in the aggregate.
The challenge is basically to get something that doesn't segregate in a pump but still gives up its water and cement fines to a brick wall sufficiently rapidly that it "grabs on" and doesn't come sliding off the wall when loaded 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick. So far, air entrainment seems like the best bet. Cellulose water retentive admixtures are great for pumpability but are lousy for keeping stucco hanging on the wall.
I can't just go to the shop and buy a bag of Jimmy's Pumpable Stucco. I'm in Australia and there's basically a big pile of sand where the dump truck left it, and that's what you're working from. I could import some pumpable mix, since they have it in the US, but finding out what Jimmy puts in there to make it work would be way easier and more profitable.
Not sure what I can offer in exchange. Guess I could share my observations in return. Can pm you my email if he's interested.

It's no worse than alcohol. If anything alcohol is more damaging/dangerous of the 2.
But one thing that blurs the issue is that stuff being smoked by the hippies in the 60s is in most cases very different to what's generally consumed now. The hippie weed is a non issue, but some of the stuff that's legally available now is and will become even more problematic.

I have very little experience with weed. The first few times I tried it, nothing happened. The last time, I got crazy paranoid. Some of you have suggested it magnifies your emotional state at the time. I have to agree. At least in regards to my own experience. When I look back on that experience, I can see where I had reason to feel paranoid, just not to the degree that I felt it.
All I know is that it was such an unpleasant experience, that I never tried weed again. This was like a thousand years ago. Who know's maybe it is time to give it another try. I could stand with a little mellowing out sometimes. If it is another paranoid episode...than no thank you very much.

Just trying to demonstrate that the fellow could expect more from my side of the email fence than, "Ya bro. I spread it on the wall bro. Pump don't work good nuf bro." We plasterers aren't renowned for our artuculosity.
Potato starch is a common ingredient in gypsum plasters as a thickener, I believe. Its far cheaper than gypsum and I'd be lying if I claimed it never occurred to me to halve my materials expense by increasing the viscosity of a half dosed mix up to something I can keep on the hawk with a judicious teaspoon full. Half dosed would still set solid. Never done it tho.
I've observed differences in rates of mix thickening from different products. It could be polymers hydrating but they are expensive so doubt formulations have much. I put the delayed thickening down to starches.
I probably should have tested a starch in cement mixes by now. I haven't done it only because a more viscous mix, while it will keep aggregate in suspension, calls for a higher PSI to shove it down the hose. I should still give it a shot tho. I predict it imparting a sticky, gumminess to things which would make for a high friction boundary layer in the hose, but maybe it'll behave like cellulose and thicken while staying slick.
Lol, I should probably just stay in my lane. Dry lining. I'm not even that hot shit a renderer and it's a miserable job but I would make A LOT of money if I could shotcrete low cement render mixes.
-

Plasticizer is an air entraining admixture. The old mason's dish soap trick works equally well although it carries the risk of over aeration.
Companies like BASF have developed some wild shit when it comes to concrete pumping. Its not just water reducers and plasticisers. Rheology modifiers are interesting things. I think they developed something specifically for the Burj Dubai and another pump aid for a dam elsewhere in India which set the highest PSI record.

From what i recall, it's a special mixture with a few additives, but it's very sensitive and you have to pump it at a certain point or it won't work. Took a lot of trial and error, but the application was used for a long period of time.
I'm sure there is some way to do what you're asking, but my knowledge of concrete design in pretty basic.

Talking about staying in my lane - I only know about this stuff because a few summers ago for some reason I became the family slime/oobleck master for the kids - another craze that petered out. Hence my guilt at even mentioning it! Who knew that there might (accidentally ) be an actual grain of something useful in my response! (starches having industrial applications) 8)

ALL YOU FUCKING POTHEADS ARE GOING TO HELL.........BUT AT LEAST YOU`LL BE HIGH SO ENJOY THE TRIP !!!!!!

I shit you not but I knew 2 lawyers who habitually smoked crack.
I`d see them out in the hood at 4 AM copping rocks then they`d tell me not to say that I saw them.
-
My pool game improved immenesly when I smoked some good weed.
I bet I could have beat Minnesota Fats at times.

I know a few Architects that do a lot of coke.
Drugs are very common in the professional world.
My cousin owns a residential roofing company and said his best salesman has been busted with coke a few times. ;D

The only downside is that my eating is out of control once it kicks in.
This is a problem I had and it honestly was one of the reasons I wasn't getting high more often. But about a week ago, I read an article where some chick was experimenting with working out on edibles. In her experiment, she waited until the edibles kicked in. Some of my homies have talked about working out while high, I think I've even read some guys on here discuss it, but it always sounded counterproductive to me.
I still have my at-home set-up , so decided to experiment with getting a quick workout in while waiting for my edible to kick in. I've done this a few times over the last week or so. Firstly, it makes for great workouts. That period where youre waiting for things to kick in is the PERFECT zone. You have this light, focused feeling that makes it enjoyable even if you are in a procrastinating mood. Secondly, it causes edibles to kick in a lot faster, sometimes it's been as quick as 20 minutes. But the biggest thing of all is that it has really curbed my appetite while high. Previously, I would make sure I would have abunch of snacks on hand, just because nothing seemed worse than being high and not having some junk foodity at the ready, but my appetite has been mostly under control since experimenting with this.

Is it true that smoking pot lowers test levels?
Smoking cigarettes supposedly increases test levels.

May increase test, from a paper after quick googling:
In contrast, the recent Danish study by Gundersen et al., was based on a large sample of young, healthy men and reported higher testosterone levels with greater frequency of marijuana use (Gundersen et al., 2015). Our results were similar to those of Gundersen et al., however, recency of marijuana use was better correlated with testosterone level than was frequency of use.
I've had smokers say they think it increases test but I put it down to weed making you horny = you think test increased.
One said he thought the best PCT was weed lol.
But there may be more to it.
The biologic mechanism by which marijuana exerts an effect on hormone production likely involves the response of cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2, to THC. These receptors are functional in male reproductive organs, including the Leydig cells of the testis, the principle producer of testosterone in men.

It must be a very odd story because I have never heard it before. Is this how Lizzy Bordon got away with giving her mother 40 whacks with an ax and then gave her father 40 more? Was she high on a joint? ;D
