I'm reading that Hunter Biden book (Beautiful Things ) right now .... Only up to chapter 3 and part of 4 but so far he appears to be pretty damn honest about his drug and alcohol problems .... even mentioning his Parmesian cheese episode/episodes.
I know zilch about the Biden family ... so I decided to give it a try and so far ... it's held my interest.

Trump is a lot of things, both good and bad, but he was a disruption in the system, an outsider, and “they” wanted him out.

Oh I didn't mean to imply Trumps children werent sociopaths. I dont think they would be enjoyable for most people to be around socially. Definitely not relatable to the common man.
It seemed like they were in the media's crosshairs much more than Hunter though (although its only been a few months in office for President Biden). Even during the debate season it "seemed" more attention was paid to Donald Jr's actions than Hunter and the laptop.

Like we may know some fucked up alcoholic who is quite brilliant in his observations, but his life was wasted by alcohol or some other circumstance. Someone could be a killer, a tranny fucking crack smoker yet be a genius in another way.
A father should almost always be an advocate for his children. Just my opinion

regarding the supporting of ones offspring - I think one should hold their kids to a higher standard than other kids - that's their parents shit show to navigate. Either you instill in them a sense of right and wrong and that actions have consequences or they enjd up running amok with a depraved indifference to the rights of others (worse case scenario of course but it's a sliding scale) . Look at a certain member here, obviously repeatedly bailed out due to mummy and daddy's money and they're unemployed *(to any meaningful degree) for over a decade, a string of beaten/abused ex partners (of course it doesn't count because mum and dads money got them enough legal muscle to escape being charged/convicted for it and that same action has lead them to arrogantly consider that therefore they 'dindu nothing') It gets worse the more parental power and influence there is. Then you get into crackhead gun looneys or worse than that, look at the dynastic trainwreck of north korea, or look at what Uday Hussein got up to thanks to daddy effectively rendering him untouchable.
Whilst I don't suggest total abandonment of ones kids, a night in the drunk tank instead of rescuing them (or something to that effect I use the example metaphorically) are the sort of stories one hears about people that came from rough areas and lives turning things around. MY dad was no saint by any stretch of the imagination but he was of the win it or wear it school of thought. IE if I got in a fight or was hit and hit back all fair, and if I won be humble if I lost stand up and take it like a man. When you know you aren't getting bailed out or rescued it makes you take consequences seriuously and you emd up in a lot less trouble. Doesn't mean I haven't gotten into a beef where I knew I was likely going to lose but still went in *(and went out) swinging. Sometimes it's important to fight the good fight even if you know you'll lose, Principles matter (to some of us) and the act of standing against a shit-KhVn7 who is out of order is important in 'big picture' terms. But nobody will ever learn any of that vitally important stuff if their parents unconditionally support them. Mind you in Biden's case it's not bad parenting it's generational corruption and criminality.
