I like how he matches up the old photos with the current view.
Hope he keeps making these vids. Seems like a nice guy.
The existing Muscle Beach weight pit was built in 1990.

Golds was bought by a German Holdings firm. Been back open for almost 2 months now. The streets surrounding it are horrible with homeless encampments. It’s what happens in Dem ran cities

Did you attend the white lives matter parade yesterday?

This is such a shame. Unfortunately, change is inevitable.

Did you attend the white lives matter parade yesterday?
No, I was out of town for the weekend but on our community forums it was said that while it was labeled that, counter protesters (BLM) caused HBPD to send out unlawful assembly alerts because things were getting out of hand. The "White Supremisists" that the media focused on were only about 5 idiots out a crowd of an estimated 500.

Check out this crime footage at Venice Beach(?), mostly looking out someone's window. This doesn't get any better by lowering the White population and importing the 3rd world.
You either
get your country back and endure being called bad names by the ADL.
or
You don't get your country back and you endure being called bad names by the ADL and much, much worse.

That video is depressing but it’s not that much different than what we see in society today.
Blacks vs whites vs Asians vs Hispanics. Republicans vs Democratics, vaccine vs non vaccers, cops vs..... etc.
And what is the answer for these homeless people? Work camps? Mental institutions?

Stopping the 3rd world flow into the US as well as Canada, Europe, and Australia, for starters. All those other countries are going to have massive problems in the coming decades as their native populations decrease and their non-native populations grow. There's no overnight solution for a problem that's taken decades to fester. The homeless in California used to primarily be the mentally ill. Now, there's a lot of jobless mixed in but we're still flooding in the 3rd world and paying them with money that should be going to assist Americans in crisis.
Does anyone have any doubt that if you moved all Swedes to Somalia, and all Somalians to Sweden, that, in time, Somalia would start to become like Sweden and Sweden would become like Somalia?

Good points.
But do you think the homeless are the results of 3rd world immigration? I see a lot of the homeless in SoCal and the majority look like they’re whites.

Good point. I think it is the same here in Oregon. Do you think it is because white folks are less likely to help one another out, where as in some other cultures several families or groups of people will live together in very crowded conditions if it is necessary to avoid homelessness. A Korean fellow who worked for me, lived with several other Korean men in a small apartment, I assume to save money. My first apartment was in West Hollywood. It was actually a tiny one bedroom cottage among several like units that lined each side of a long driveway. At the very back lived a family of Hispanics or maybe a couple of families all in one unit. These places were barely large enough for one person.

The US is overwhelmingly importing people from 3rd world countries that will vote Democrat. If anyone believes that California's homelessness problems, for example, are due in large part to Democrat management, then, making certain that Democrats stay in power by importing Democrat voters, could contribute to homelessness.
I don't see the logic in suggesting that 3rd world immigrants are the cause of the types of mental illnesses in American citizens that lead to homelessness. But if tax payer money that is now spent on accommodating foreign refugees, etc..., in large numbers, could temporarily house the otherwise-working American homeless, then yes, you wouldn't see so many tents in SoCal. If we needed more workers there could have been, could still be, government incentives for working Americans to have more children and we could also continue to import 'the cream of the crop' as much as possible immigrant-wise.
There are Black families that have been in the the US for centuries yet, in LA County, which is 8% Black, roughly 34% are homeless. Is it fair to them switching resources to people whose families just entered the US? Black homelessness effects everyone. Latinos/Hispanics are under represented homeless-wise. They're roughly 48% of the population but 36% of the homeless, which could be due to factors like low cost of living, many living in one house, etc... all of which keeps a roof over their heads. Whites are roughly 26% of the population and 25% of the homeless. Homeless Whites may happen to congregate in areas that are closer to where other Whites live, therefore they may be seen more by Whites. The average person sees a small percentage of the homeless in their daily travels.

Why? Because there are some folks who think these immigrants whether legal or illegal vote in our elections.
There have been examples of dead people who "voted". If there are some folks that think some illegal immigrants vote in our elections, it has no bearing on California going from red to blue or Texas soon to turn blue, mainly due to new legal immigrants who vote Democrat, which is what the majority of new legal immigrants these days do.

No, I believe it’s because areas that have a generous welfare programs combined with decent weather attract deadbeats and lowlifes.

Most homeless arent homeless they are beggars. Theyl get dropped off by family or friends to pan handle, thats why most tents are empty also

This is the easiest thing in the world to figure out and put to rest one way or another. Running voter rolls against Ice database. It would take about 2 days. Why is it never done?

I knew a guy that lived in another guy's walk-in closet. Just big enough for a small bed and storage. Just a place to sleep. Had access to bathroom (not sure about kitchen or living room).
All so he could train at GOLD'S GYM VENICE! It certainly beat whatever shithole podunk town he came from.

Because people DO give them food often, thinking they are helping out. My mother used to buy meals for people hanging out under the overpass ramp with signs that said they were hungry. Then she would go back and see that they had tossed several bags full of food on the hill behind them. ::)

Yes eligible applicants can register to vote at the DMV in California.
To register to vote in California, you must be:
A United States citizen and a resident of California,
18 years old or older on Election Day,
Not currently serving a state or federal prison term for the conviction of a felony (for more information on the rights of people who have been incarcerated, please see the Secretary of State's Voting Rights: Persons with a Criminal History), and
Not currently found mentally incompetent to vote by a court (for more information, please see Voting Rights: Persons Subject to Conservatorship)
States have different requirements of proof of ID. However, under federal law they cannot require proof of citizenship to vote. Instead registrants must attest to citizenship. The penalties for lying are severe, including jail and or deportation.

Post the requirements to obtain a valid California driver's license. I had to wait in line for hours and take and pass a test in addition to paying a fee. My personal rights were violated.

It's cheaper to eat crap in America than it is to eat healthy. Yes, you can make an argument that a can of beans and a wad of spinach cost less than a box of captain crunch, but when you're talking about how people consume food in the real world- calorie density, convenience, enjoyability- it's way easier to get stuff that will make you fat and contribute to poor health.

But this logic goes against what I've learned on Getbig, a calorie is just a calorie.
-
Poor people are fat for the same reason as affluent people.
Eat too much.
-
Poor people are fat for the same reason as affluent people.
Eat too much.
The affluent aren't fat generally though. The poor and fat may be both poor and fat due to poor genes in a general way,
Highly intelligent people are generally thinner from what I understand. This is heretical thinking in this day and age.
I always believe in genes first and foremost when it comes to any human behavior.
I am fat.
-
Poor people are fat for the same reason as affluent people.
Eat too much.
When you're poor it's called "lacking self control". When you're rich it's called "over indulgence".
However I don't completely agree with your statement. It's not just about eating too much in general, but the types of foods they eat. Poor people eat too much processed garbage and affluent people eat too much rich food. End result, poor and affluent people often share the same lifestyle illnesses because of their diets.
-

Fat as in fat or just chunky? :D
Tjock som Henrik Schyffert eller Leif GW Persson? :D
-
Affluent people eat too many carbs also.
It's the typical Western diet containing 50-60% carbs of which a lot is sugar.
There are lots of fat wealthy folks. There are lots of skinny poor people.
The % of overweight poor compared to overweight affluent in the USA is within 5%.
Around 70% of the USA population is overweight using BMI standards.

All homeless people on Los Angeles' Skid Row must be offered housing by the fall, judge orders
All homeless people living on Los Angeles' Skid Row must be offered housing by October 18, a federal judge ordered Tuesday.
The order comes in response to a federal lawsuit filed last year by several citizens, business owners, and community leaders who argue officials have failed to address the homeless crisis in Los Angeles, as tents line full city blocks and makeshift shelters cramp under street overpasses.
"Los Angeles has lost its parks, beaches, schools, sidewalks, and highway systems due to the inaction of city and county officials who have left our homeless citizens with no other place to turn," US District Judge David Carter said in the 110-page brief.
The judge's filing follows on Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announcing his budget for the next fiscal year in which he vowed to dedicate $1 billion toward homelessness. In 2020 alone, 1,383 homeless people died, and an estimated five more die each day, according to data from the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA).
The order states specific actions for the public streets of Skid Row -- home to one of the nation's biggest concentrations of homeless people.
According to the brief, city and county officials must offer and provide shelter to Skid Row's general population within 180 days, on or before October 18, 2021. Unaccompanied women and children must be offered housing within 90 days.
Calling it an "unprecedented pace," Garcetti said Tuesday he would not comment on the order before fully understanding how the judge envisions the timeline successfully happening.
Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer also withheld comment on the plan. "We just received this massive order from Judge Carter," Feuer said at a press conference. "We are reviewing it as I speak today, and we'll have more to say about it in the near future, but today I will just indicate that we're still analyzing the court's ruling."
Carter's order is an urgent move to "restructure and reform" the housing needs in Los Angeles, according to the brief. The judge criticized various California officials for not "making enough effort" to fund effective solutions in a timely manner.
"Despite frequent acknowledgments of the emergency nature of homelessness in L.A., city and county efforts to address the problem continue to be mired in corruption and plagued by a lack of transparency," Carter said. "Bureaucrats create statistics trumpeting their efficiency and success to the public, but none of this has led to accountability or solutions."
While funding has increased to various housing programs and initiatives, L.A.'s homeless population is steadily increasing as well, according to data produced by LAHSA. In 2020, more than 66,000 people in the Greater Los Angeles area were experiencing homelessness. In the past year, there was a 12.7% increase in the rate of people experiencing homelessness countywide, LAHSA data shows.
"All of the rhetoric, promises, plans, and budgeting cannot obscure the shameful reality of this crisis --that year after year, there are more homeless Angelenos, and year after year, more homeless Angelenos die on the streets," Carter said.
Carter's order comes nearly a year after another he made addressing homelessness. In May 2020, the judge ordered Los Angeles city and county to "humanely" relocate into a shelter homeless people living near freeway overpasses, underpasses and ramps, or provide "an alternative housing option."

Sad on all counts. I feel for the homeless, as some suffer from mental health illness and have fallen into hard times. Likewise, it sucks that Venice Beach has turned into this. It's a beautiful spot for artsy folk, the mma scene, bodybuilding, hippies and free spirits that roam the area. To me, it always felt like NYCs "East Village" area, but by the beach. Soul Crusher, think of what St Marks Place between 3rd and 2nd Ave used to feel/look like in the 90s and early 2000s, that's the feel I always got from Venice Beach but with the luxury of the ocean being next to it. Again, for me Venice Beach was just a cool place to hang out at(particularly at night) the few times I visited.
Hopefully, things will get better.

So you just have to say you are eligible?
I believe you have to prove it. Just how, I have no idea. I don't live in California any longer. When I was 15 and applied for a driver's permit in order to take driving lessons, I had to show my birth certificate and my SS card.
Here is partial list of DMV acceptable documents.
* Social Security or military ID number
* Proof of your full and true name (full list of approved documents here )
* One document (original or certified) proving your birth date and legal presence (full list of approved documents here )
* Two documents proving your California residency (full list of approved documents here )
