The article doesn't mention the obvious fact that PCOS is induced by excessive carb consumption, and male bodybuilders also eat an unhealthy amount of carbs while avoiding fat-soluble micronutrients. Both groups are malnourished, insulin resistant and chronically inflamed, so it is predictable that their immune systems would be vulnerable.
